  1. rather unneccessary isn't it??

    NA tuning

One goes into the cam cover area (not a clue what it's for ), the other is a crank case breather - mine's vented to atmos now, but you also need to plumb in the air temp sensor. My setup looks like this;-
  3. BM 850 will be a huge dissapointment I had a little play in an 840 and it felt slow, unresponsive, poor brakes and handled like a plate of blancmange. Also, the dash looked sooooo dated (especially compared to the Supe). I had previously always fancied an 8 series BM but now I most certainly wouldn't bother.

Resonance chambers and yes, they can be safely removed - although you'll need to find some way of re-attaching the vacuum hoses
  5. DIY Carbon Fibre parts.pdf DIY Carbon Fibre parts II.pdf :d Here you go mate
  6. Sure I've seen you a few times now going up New Dover Road heading out towards the A2. Anyone on here?? (I was on foot BTW so no flash LOL)
  7. 17500kg - is that weight or displacement?
  8. No and no:Pling: (especially since the bugger won't go right now LOL) - no rubbing whatsoever and the rims sit nice and flush with the sides of the car
  9. Yeah, but what's the torque like?? Bearing in mind it's a diesel I'd imagine it to be pretty high and it's making serious power at comparatively low revs!! Would be interesting to see a petrol engine of similar size/capacity as a comparison LOL :)
  10. Which? Toyota or Ford?? I've had my N/A up past 150 on the GPS - complete with rear wing
  11. 'kin' 'ell!!! How big's the boat that baby's going in?? Certainly looks rather pretty and 48000cc twin tubby? Wahey - that could be soooo much fun in the right hull :)
  12. Good point I forgot that the hubs on my rims are somewhat thinner than the standard ones therefore leaving a reasonable amount of thread even with 5mm spacers. My current spaces are thicker still so I now have longer studs to suit:d
  13. So pop down to Halfords (their website is crap:() and have a quick gander. They're only a couple of quid andtwo wires to connect - 5min job. Then, when you have more time have a go at the mod mentioned above :)
  14. LOL But he had to use sheep to explain himself (mind you, at least it helps CJ and the other sheep botherers in the picture:d )
  15. Since it's a J-spec can we safely assume it's an after-market fog lamp (e.g. square set into the bumper or hanging underneath it?). If so it's probably easiest to pop to Halfords and buy a new unit
  16. I wasn't gonna bother to comment on this but ................ well said dude:d OK, we all have our opinions but can't we let the guy get on with it? So what if people don't like it? At the end of the day - what does it really matter? This is mob mentality - should we ALL post up plans of any mods/changes to our cars prior to fitting just in case the 'mob' don't approve?? Give the guy a break
  17. I'm at work at the mo mate but on my home computer I have some great webpages or .pdf docs on DIY CF - I'll PM them over to you if you like?
  18. Probably gonna be around most of Sunday mate - taking the inlet cam out to have a looksee why it's stiff as buggery to turn:( Got my number? PM me and I'll send it over to you
  19. Can't see a hoover being able to apply enough vacuum to make a real difference.
  20. Twill's the one you want:) Really shows off the weave. Have a check on ebay - there's often some on there in a variety of sizes for sale. BTW - I assume you realise that it won't have either the strength or lightness of the real CF? It's just glorified GRP if you're doing it at home - the real stuff uses a fancy process of vacuum/pressure to remove as much of the resin as possile thus making it nice and light etc. Or try these guys http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/CFS_Catalogue__Carbon_Fibre_Fabric_35.html
  21. If you wanna have a look at a set pop round mate - I have them fitted front and rear
  22. I know of a few N/A's that have done around 150 (GPS) :)
  23. Ah! Couldn't work out why a Porsche would have an 18" frame LOL
