  1. If you are looking for a decent set of spacers with extended studs see these guys http://www.srbpower.com/hr/spacers.php Top quality stuff but a little more pricey than the universal 5/6mm stuff from Halfords

AS I said in an earlier thread - white is next years colour!! It's definately gonna come back into fashion :)
  3. That's pretty much my understanding of it too . I can see how too much spacer can move the wheels out too far but in moderate amounts I can't see the problem (so long as they're decent quality hubcentric jobbies). I used H&R on mine - fantastic fit and you can feel the quality:)
  4. Gay truck driver mate! You pulled!!! :)

    Rough Cost?

Yup Check colsoop as well - he too does some bloody good stuff - usually on an exchange basis (post your old bits back to him)
  7. Hi Simon, I fully understand the physics of it - what I don't get is the difference between a rim with an acceptable offset and one without but using spacers?? Is the difference in the placement of the spokes within the rim itself or are certain rim designs simply 'bad' for certain applications? In which case, should we all be running reasonably deep dish rims with a low offset to keep the wheel 'central' in line with the hub??
  8. After having painted mine and then stripping them off to fit a set of (so far - unused ) UK brakes I could see the bar bit that runs accross the front inner edge of the caliper quite clearly:)
  9. Another vote here for the Falkens (451s at the front and 452s at the rear) - can't be too bad if they're OEM kit for Porkers and supply the rubber for the Porker Cup races
  10. The standard wheel studs should be ok with 5mm spacers - the bit I don't understnd is why/how do spacers place extra strain on the wheel bearings? Surely it's the same as having the same wheel with adifferent offset? Isn't the offset of a wheel determined by the amount of metal at the mounting face as opposed to moving the spokes themselves in? i.e. the manufacturers trim more off the mounting face in order to alter the offset?
  11. Cheers. May have a look this evening - kinda pissed-off with it at the moment:( Sems to be one thing leading to another - each more expensive/time consuming
  12. 0-60 in 1 sec??? 2200bhp?? How the hell would he get traction??

    Thank feck for that:Pling:
  14. ....or fridge/freezer, microwave or four-poster bed:)
  15. ..........and don't take too much kit - it's supposed to be a survival (i.e. minimal stuff) not camping
  16. The bait wasn't good enough mate - the 'commando-mate' will already know exactly where the nearest pubs are and even which one has a barmaid who'll put out at closing time:)
  17. Better not to - he makes it ll look so easy it'll lull you into a false sense of security!! + you'll be on info overload:(
  18. The MOST important thing to take is your sense of humour!! And remember that while it's fun, things can go very wrong very quickly!!
  19. Just a little bit:) Usually right up north (past the Scotish bit) and with only a very small baccy tin for kit, boiler suit and boots (+ whatever we could smuggle past the instructors LOL)
  20. Bog off pedant!! Sailor/storm matches :)
  21. What kit are you taking? Tent & sleeping mat or are you sleeping rough?
  22. wear thin nylon socks with nice thick woolen ones over the top - helps prevent blisters. Also, get some thick wolly tights - lovely and warm - honest!! Bin liners are always useful - as are sailors or storm matches
