Do they go on one of the hooks each and then over the bar, or do they stretch from one hook to the othergoing over the bar and then the same again withthe second one so just doubling up?

You are right, there is a bar. Do you know where I can get the rubber loop? does it go around both of those hooks in the picture somehow? Also, is that a an oem double hook thing or is it HKS? because by the looks of mine I need a new one.

What kind of support should I have keeping the tailpipe from bouncing around? Had my exhaust of for ages and now seem to have no mounting point on the exhaust and a strange hook to try and connect it to do not the normal rubber blocks. Is it some kind of strap I need?

Ah ok, thanks Do you know if it is serviceable? I'm thinking maybe when I had it off the car and cleaned it with a load of degreaser maybe they inside got wither dirt in or now have a lack of grease so needs greasing again. Although I just looked up the gates part and its on ebay for £90, might just put a new one on.

we got one set in 2 years so far...

My aux belt tensioner seems to rattle a bit. It was noisy so I changed the bearing but it still seems to be making noise. The noise seems to be coming from in the part that bolts to the block rather than the end with the pulley on so I assume its something in there. I looked on whifbitz and they have 2 listed, one listed as 'type with damper' and another 'without damper'. How do I know which one I have/need? Or can I take this one off my block and get in the back to repair something? I sprayed a load of wd40 in a hole in the base of the tensioner and the noise went away so it is deffinitely coming from in there.
