  1. Shirley really enjoyed this one last year, put us on the list please
  2. This was a great day out last time. Definitely put me and Shirley down for this
  3. A massive big thank you to every one that helped and contributed in other ways. We are truly overwhelmed by your generosity. We managed to finish the end room today so that will have heating and locusts in it by tomorrow afternoon and we now have a dry area to pack orders too that was a fantastic effort by every one and it was a really fun day too which was just what we needed.
  4. Thanks so much for the support guys, it is really appreciated I can't thank you enough.
  5. 4.0L V8 TT Aerotop 500-600BHP if I get it finished and mapped before May
  6. Me and Shirley will be down for at least one of the two days, not sure I could cope with 2 days of overindulgence, probably stay at hotel if you could let me know prices?
  7. Do you have a phone number for them? I want to make sure I book the right one, you know what I am like
  8. I'm going, where are you staying Friday night?
  9. Looks like you all had a great time, sorry I could not make it.
  10. Thanks, puts a great big grin on my face every time I take it out
  11. This is at 1.1 bar, I wanted Ryan to up the boost but because of the high compression ratio (10.5:1) we were getting detonation at anything over that so the knock control on the ecu kicked in and killed the power. Not sure what my plans are with this now, I could just drop in my spare engine which has good compression on all cylinders and sort out the exhaust manifolds a bit better (will involve removing power steering pump and fitting an electric one) or go the whole hog with forged pistons etc. TBH I am quite happy with how it drives for now
  12. We are just planning on coming down for the afternoon, getting too old to keep up with you lot drinking all night
  13. I was hoping for a little more but VERY pleased with how this drives now that Ryan has worked his magic. The engine is tired and got low compresion on number 2 so looking for some good numbers next year http://www.livefoods.co.uk/car/v8-t78-dyno.jpg
  14. Thanks to everyone who organised this and made it possible. Had a really great weekend
  15. 1.Karolina 2.Blackie The dwarf 3.Bailey Potatohead 4.barneybrendan 5. Edge the head chef 6. Dcarrter21 7.SuperGibbon 8. Gav 9. Topgun 10. Fearless and Shirley
  16. Me and Shirley can make any weekend in June except 10th - 11th
  17. Had problems to start with because I tried to extend the 2jz coil packs to fit the 1uz (as I did away with the dizzys and HT leads) but once I got a set of coilpacks from a later Lexus that was sorted Also had problems with oil temperature on track days but it only had a fairly modest oil cooler I have another one to go in there now which will hopefully cure that problem and then it is down to see Ryan again for a full map and see what it puts out on the dyno. Just need to save a few pennies for a set of rear tyres, some road tax and a tank of fuel now Mine has just been kind of thrown together so it will be nice to see a proper job done on Ryans and those turbos look awesome
  18. You do know it's Fearless + 5 now don't you?
  19. Really looking forward to this, Gokarting and Zip wire I can't wait
  20. I just looked up this thread today to put our names down me and Shirley will come down if it is still happening?
  21. What a fantastic day, thank you Nevins and Sam for organising this. I feel a right dick for not tightening the wheel nuts on my kit car not least because it was my daughter driving it for the first time when the wheel came off. Luckily the wheel did not hit any one and she managed to get the car out of the way onto the grass. I will NEVER forget to tighten wheel nuts again that's for sure. When my supra was going well it was really going well Definitely need better tyres on the back, got some cheap ones off eBay and the back was all over the place. I think I need a new water pump for the supra it was boiling over after 2 laps but was only seeing water temps of 90c at the radiator and oil temp was 120c so I would guess the water was not circulating (thermostat was already removed) Had a really good time though and can't wait for the next track day
  22. Weather specifically for Landow looks a lot better than south wales generally http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/today.asp?zipcode=CF71
  23. Can't believe there are still places left. This will be my 3rd year here with the supra club and is a fantastic day out with all the track time you could want, if you consider that at events like Japfest you have to pay £35 for about 10 mins of track time this is really good value for money.
  24. These came from my previous engine. Only £60 including UK postage or £65 to the rest of Europe
  25. 1uzfe + turbo is the way to go I have not had mine on the Dyno yet but feels an easy 650hp at 1 bar boost and 6,500 rpm rev limit with massive low down torque and a T88 that is producing positive boost below 3,000rpm Pro's Engine and loom available cheaply with Soarer mounts drops straight in Adaptor plate available to use V160/161 gearbox Light weight aluminium block weighs 100kg less than standard 2JZ block Weight distribution is much better than with a 2JZ with all the weight behind the front axle. Con's Custom loom and exhaust required Can't think of any other's that don't apply to a single 2JZ conversion. When Ryan returns I hope to get this mapped to around 1.5 bar and I am confident that the stock engine will take this amount of boost, time will tell ...........
