  1. I am just wondering is there is any difference between the n/a and tt clutch master/slave
  2. Had the gearbox in and out twice today an and no amount of adjustment helps. There is not enough travel on the clutch slave cylinder to disengage the clutch unless the release bearing is already pressing on the pressure plate (obviously not a good idea as it will quickly destroy the bearing) However I had the same issues when I had this clutch with the 2jz I have come to the conclusion that I have to either get a slave cylinder with a slightly smaller internal diameter or a master cylinder with a slightly bigger diameter to give me another 5mm of travel.
  3. It was quite a long day but between Ryan and Lydon we got this fired up at around 5pm and it is amazing. It's booked in for a full map in a couple of weeks but really pulls well up to the .5 bar map cut, turbo starts boosting at 2500rpm instead of 4500 and feels great to drive and sounds awesome. Spent the day fixing a few bits (power steeing fluid leak, some defi gauges not working new spark plugs) and tidying a few bits and getting bonnet to fit. But now have to remove gearbox because I'm having issues with clutch adjustment and turbo needs a re-build. unless you know anyone with a big turbo for sale?
  4. There's a lot of photos of the pipework in various stages on page one. We used the original manifolds swapped sides and reversed so they were pointing forward. That's exactly what it was Barny did a great job with the materials I had provided and the brief was to just get it connected and fitting inside the engine bay. Actually all it needs now is a nice sweeping bend on the alternator side (the wastegate can be moved) and then a couple of sweeping bends into the turbo flange instead of that tee Once he's finished his own project I will order some more 2.5" bends and then I am hoping I can get him back to start on round 2
  5. I know it is not ideal but this has been done as a work in progress. Now I know it all fits will get these re-made at some point
  6. 1 soarer had been in a bad crash and was a write off, sorry about the other one though it was a tidy car
  7. It hasn't got the loom in yet It's an OS Giken clutch/flywheel but the starter ring is too small so I took the ring off the original Soarer Auto flywheel, had the teeth machined off the OS Giken flywheel and then fitted the soarer starter ring to that First picture it the Soarer Auto flywheel Second is the OS Giken clutch/flywheel before fitting the starter ring from the Soarer
  8. Basically all there now but needs some tidying up but that can be done later once it is up and running. Lyndon is bringing back and re-fitting my new loom complete with the Solaris connector's and Ryan is coming up a to fit and map Solaris ECU tomorrow morning Spent over 100 hours on this and I can't wait until tomorrow, don't think I will be getting much sleep tonight I'm like a kid waiting for Santa to come.
  9. I have an almost new crank pully here that I brought from Paul about a year ago, probably only done 2000 miles £50 including delivery.
  10. In that case I will have to talk to you about this when you come down with my loom I am sure I could sell my multitude of defi gauges for more than that.
  11. I am sure I would love it, but spent way too much on this already, maybe later in the year. Will it have audible warnings if Pressure/temperature etc. readings are outside pre set range, as with the Defi guages?
  12. I am going to pass on this one will more than likely not be free on 13th June 1. Wile e coyote paid Maybe+ Si/Luke/Malc paid 2 1 to pay/Billy/Tony/Dave/James paid/del+1 2. buster123467 paid 3. Lee 4. Pudsey 5. barneybrendan paid 6. Blackie 7. Mrs Blackie (Not my mum)
  13. It's a stock engine, they are strong but I have a spare here for when it goes wrong. The plan is to start at a fairly low boost and progressively increase it and see what it will take. When it goes wrong I will have a benchmark and know that if I am keeping it stock then I will need to keep the boost below that level.
  14. Thanks very much Barney for the welding yesterday and Lyndon for doing the loom last weekend. It was approaching 11pm before either of you finished and you both had a long drive home. I couldn't have done it without you, This is coming together well now, just waiting on my gearbox (being overhauled and new synchros) so hopefully will be ready for Ryan to fit and map Solaris ECU within the next few weeks.
  15. You can have it as a gift Lee, I have been through it with my car so know how you must be feeling. Sort out a date and if I can't make it myself will send it to you beforehand.
  16. Lee I have a nearly new oil pump from my TT engine which you are welcome to and I am happy to help out
  17. My neighbour is breaking his Toyota Aristo, this has (as far as I know) exactly the same engine as the TT supra. The car has done 90,000KM and runs perfectly, he is looking for around £1,500 for the engine If you are interested please PM me for his phone number and deal directly with him.
  18. Thank you all for coming, had a really great time. Glad you did not put up ALL the photo's and there a few choice photo's that seem to have magic'd themselves onto my camera
  19. I am pretty sure the extra length of pipe to the filter won't make any noticable difference to pressure, I probably have over 4m of pipe on mine first to the remote filter and then to my oil cooler and then back to the engine. Hope you get it sorted soon and that it is just a loose connection or dodgy sensor.
  20. I have AP Racing 6 pots and they have been really abused (including 50 laps of the nurburgring and a few track days) and they are holding up really well. No warping and never had brake fade with them.
  21. Look forward to seeing you, and not so much of the OLD chap please
  22. Looks fantasic Blackie, I really like it
  23. Well pleased for you Lee, glad you have finnaly got the car you wanted. Ryan is a real star
  24. Thanks for that, Steve Manley on here has sorted out new Cam Belt, main oil seal and pilot bearing. I have got my 1uz-v160 adaptor plate ordered from TTC performance and flywheel is at machine shop being modified. Also going to keep 1uz power steering pump in original location (opposite side to supra) so have moved fluid reservoir and re plumbed oil cooling pipes, so all going quite well so far Now I need to know if I can do away with this as I need to reverse the inlet manifold. I think it is an ICV? and to do with cold starting/running? Also do I need this? I am assuming it is also to do with cold weather starting?
  25. Looking Great Barney, can't wait to see this in action.
