1. Really looking forward to this. Good luck Malc hope you can make it.
2. Glad you bumped this, I thought I had booked already but just checked and I handn't done it yet, done it now. Really enjoyed this the last 2 years and would have been gutted if I had missed out this year.
3. I will take the handbrake and if it falls through will also take gear knob
4. They will look Awesome with your wheels, I hope they fit your wheels OK if not I am sure http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/member.php?45319-web81e will have them.
5. Thank you I did not realise that I had to specify a price, I will edit that now
6. NOW SOLD Selling these as no longer required but have been on my car for last 6 years. They need new Discs/Rotors part number for Rotors is: CP3581-1096/1097G8, Ø356 x 36mm / 48 Vane last quote I had was £268.00 + VAT per disc. Apart from the discs these are in very good condition although could do with tiding up cosmetically (new paint) Pads are 3/4 original thickness so lots of life left in those. These are kits are £2,463.53 new on Wiftbitz I'm not sure what these are worth at all so will start them off at £700 but I am open to sensible offers. I am in Somerset if you want to collect or can send by courier for £12.00
7. I'm in Norfolk on the 10th and driving back through the night so will meet up for lunch but pass on the drive around first.
8. Definitely a) I reduced the compression on my first 1uz to accommodate the turbos but lost so much torque it ruined the car. I'm much happier with it now with the high compression and just a little extra boost from the supercharger.
9. I always had issues with heat when this was turbocharged both single and twin. They have to go in front of the engine so you end up with a mass of red hot manifold pipes adding heat and blocking airflow through the radiator. Was fine driving normally but didn't take many mins. pushing it before coolant was at 110c and oil was at 130c This never even gets close to overheating now
10. OK so there are always going to be a few teething problems with anything new so I was expecting something to need tweaking. So it was no surprise that the belt from the clutch to the supercharger started to slip at max rpm and of course once it started to slip the slippage got worse very quickly. So 3 belts later I came up with this It's a belt tensioner from a mini with a custom mounting bracket however despite many attempts to get this to run true and 5 belts later I have given up on that idea. The arm is just too flexible and being that close to the driven pulley there is no margin for error and it keeps chucking the belt off the pulley. So I thought all it really needs is a bit more wrap around the pulley rather than more tension on the belt so I made a simple idler pulley (this is just a prototype made from some scrap so excuse the roughness of it) This is what it looks like and it works brilliantly! Only one problem now, it may be because I have been putting a lot of tension on the belt or it may just be normal ware and tare (this was a used charger when I brought it) but the oil seal on the input shaft has started leaking now.
11. It's the 1UZ engine. The bottom end is the 1st gen with the stronger con rods and the heads are from the 2nd gen with the VVT but although the Syvecs is perfectly capable of controlling the VVT for simplicity I have fixed the VVT mechanism so the cam timing is the same as the 1st gen non VVT heads however they are a slightly higher lift and a more aggressive profile.

I have exactly the same thing on a Fiat and have been told it is a glitch with the immobiliser. It will never start on first turn of the key (even with turning it over for 30 seconds or more) but will always start instantly on second turn of the key.
13. Thank you what she doesn't know is this is just the prep work for a bigger supercharger
14. That looks really nice.. Mine is a badly painted mess but will get something done with it one day
15. Thanks for all the support, it's been a challenge but really enjoyed doing it.
16. Sounds a very neat idea. I would love to see what they look like when you have done it.
17. Was fun doing mine, not sure I would want to make any more.
18. Couldn't have done it without the awesome work you did converting the loom for the 1uz, must have been about 5 years ago now. Got to be done
19. HaHa I'm sure it was watching that film that planted the seed of that idea in my head.
20. Got the new belts today and gave it a try. You couldn't wipe that stupid grin off my face for the next hour or so. NA boosted NA boosted NA boosted ........... I love it 
21. Well done Marcus you've done a great job there, looking forward to seeing this again.
