  1. that's a fair point, I'd forgotten about the built in one - but is it any good
  2. Tempted to buy disk keeper pro but I'd rather use something free, does such a thing exist?
  3. As the title says really. Has anyone got any experience and advice on how to go about this? How to get noticed, how to avoid being ripped off, promotion on the net (myspace etc) and demo CDs - and so on...
  4. fantastic, love to know how you get on. How much planing is there, lots I guess? The Ultima is special, I'd still prefer it over this SR8 because it's a bit more road car like (ish), is more than quick enough anyway and looks great too! you do realise, once you have that, everything else will seem slow - there will be no going back lol
  5. you're building an Ultima? fantastic, how's it coming along? got any pics or spec? Ultima, practical? ha! but compared to the SR8 it's like a family mpv lol
  6. exactly, if the old SR8 has the record, what time will this beast do I wonder test drive? is that possible? must be the closest us mere mortals can get to driving an F1 car
  7. I want one! maybe more so than the Ultima GTR now, oh I'm torn lol http://www.radicalextremesportscars.com/news_folder/sr8lm_455/index.php this will probably set the new Ring lap record at some point soon no doubt - look forward to seeing the footage!
  8. for looks alone I'd go: Supra > RX7 > FTO for performance, well that depends - stock I'd still go: Supra > RX7 > FTO but the supra TT and RX will be much closer, in a different league to the FTO For handling around the tight bits I'd go: RX7 > Supra > FTO to be fair
  9. FTO For The Old ... what else is there to say?
  10. the new supra mkv will balance things up a bit though? they should stick some high powered engine in the new MR2 also, just for fun
  11. hmmm, tempting but alas I can't really spare the cash either someone will snap them up, will be an excellent concert
  12. My latest track is available here for listening / download, from this download mirror: http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~louisb/music/difficult_days_ahead.mp3 © 2007 of my site: http://www.chillipower.com/ it's chilled drum and bass, so if it's not your cup of tea then there's probably no point listening. and you will probably need good headphones / speakers to do the bass any justice - it's not going to work on pc speakers lol

    Battery Clamps

yes when i did mine I got the replacement clamps from there too, they sell some gold ones that are easy to fit - screws screw into the wire and makes a good solid connection
  14. Hi, don't know if anyone can help or has experience. Got an existing java client app, might need to port it to run under Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 on an Intermec CN3 hand held portable computer. Having trouble working out exactly what it will support. Am I right in thinking it will only accept a very limited set of JVMs such as the IBM one, supporting J2ME? would really like to run j2SE for support of Swing etc. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this sort of thing (mobile devices is not really my thing). Alternatively we might redo it in C# as obviously the support will be much better on a MS platform... just need to know enough to justify what we should do really. any help mucho appreciated
  15. I wasn't going to say anything but but that's kindof my opinion too. Applying what was a quality process for the manufacturing industry to the IT industry is slightly worrying lol but I guess it depends what part of the IT industry. CMMI and methodologies like SCRUM I can understand, but 6sig for software development sounds weird. Maybe it works for general IT, like manufacturing pc's, but for development like software I'm less convinced, happy to be proved wrong though as if it works I'd take it up myself
  16. chilli

    Is it me?

I think you're right, they are sh1te! lol Wonderwall was about the only half decent thing they did really. Ok so there are worse bands around, but whatever the case they are massively overrated, quite sad really.
  17. depends how you drive it, maybe 6 months, maybe 5 minutes. So probably 5 minutes then
  18. hehe no worries I was only having a bit of fun. I'm really into music (of all sorts) but I know some people have much less time for it. anyway, pendulum - good stuff, quite a unique sound, glad you discovered and like them
  19. yes, did mine recently, really really easy. They are single sided 2-pots so there are calliper sliding pins which could conceivably get seized but no pad retaining pins to get stuck, just as CW says really I did take my calliper pins out and clean and re-grease, just to make sure all is good.
  20. hope you get it sorted out ok, amazing how these cars seem to be able to step out at low speeds. Seem to be more low speed accidents than high speed ones! Obviously the car was never designed to go slow
  21. Pendulum, yeah not bad, not bad - you've only just come across them? maybe you like kinda pop drum and bass then, who knows
  22. yes exactly, quite amazing isn't it. The state transition from liquid to solid is like the formation of a crystal, needs something to get it started, to seed it.
  23. I think there might be something in the water thing tbh but it's in very specific circumstances. I wonder if it would happen with pure water... http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1995AmJPh..63..882A "Temperature measurements taken near vessel walls show that initially hot water may well begin to freeze quicker than cold. This is not, as previously surmised, due to the cooling history of the water (e.g., air expulsion during heating). Rather, supercooling virtually always takes place. On those occasions where the cold water supercools sufficiently more than the hot the Mpemba scenario is the following: The hot water supercools, but only slightly, before spontaneously freezing. Superficially it looks completely frozen. The cold water (in larger volume than that of the hot sample) supercools to a lower local temperature than the hot before it spontaneously freezes. This scenario can occur more often for ambient cooling temperatures between -6 °C and -12 °C." it would appear the hot water may freeze first, but at a higher temperature. After all the states of matter, solid, liquid and gas form at particular temperatures only with everything else is equal, and temperature itself is only a statistical measurement
