lol true but they all look the same to me tbh. Think it's in Leopold road near the shops iirc though.. you've got a good memory and you're absolutely right, mine can't get over a small stones let alone car park ramps (but I hate car parks anyway so I'm not fussed!) Parking in a multistory sure is the best way to pick up those annoying little dents and scratches you don't notice until a few days later when giving her a wash...
-
Stock looking silver supra leaving the carpark today, didn't get the registration number. You're brave to take it in that multi-story carpark! mine probably wouldn't even make it over the speed hump at the entrance lol

That's spot on. I mean it's like saying do you need 500bhp, do you need fat back tyres, do you need turbos... well you don't need them but we all want them as for doing it, with the right diagrams to hand and basic tools, you could do your first one in about 4 hours I'd say - mine took a little longer as I got the abs diagram mixed up with an export spec for a while - doh! It's a little fiddly/awkward in places but fairly straightforward overall. Fields harness - get one, I'd not do it any other way personally or you are hacking in the car wiring loom and the thing is not so easily removable (you want to sell it or move it to another car) and it makes the job much easier as you can sort the wiring out in doors in comfort!

and me!

not really. Ok in _theory_ anything can be decrypted. But something like AES with a decent keylength would take much longer than we will be around to crack in fact with 256 bits I think it takes longer than the universe has been around. Not to say things won't change but compared to everything else the SSL is the 6ft thick safe door, what you're trying to avoid is the open window around the side well that's the point. If you are even remotely interested in using or hacking someone else's wireless, mac filtering and non-broadcast ssid's are defences made of straw, you need to do virtually nothing extra to get around those if it doesn't contravene the companies policy then just use you're own router - they are so so cheap these days that it's hardly worth messing around in summary you don't need to worry about the SSID and MAC stuff, it's amateur smoke and mirrors at best. however if it hasn't even got any security enabled, even basic WEP then it's a wide open door, I'd personally refuse to use it and take it up with your IT department!
-
absolutely. it's unlikely anyone would attempt or succeed in cracking ssl, that's designed to be secure over a public network therefore it doesn't need additional encryption to make it secure. but it's about the weakest link, if the security on your machine or network isn't spot on then the idea is to get some backdoor installed on it, keyloggers etc can capture your login details and enable a hacker to use your account without even worrying about ssl. Also a lot of people use common passords etc, you can get some passwords for looking for the ones available in plain, like on forums etc and use try them in higher security sites.
-
FYI mac filtering and broadcast SSID provide no real security at all - that's a common misnomer if someone hacks your wireless, they will be able to read all the traffic on it (and inject new traffic of their own!) if you do any online banking, there is a real risk there also one of the biggest issues is that someone who knows what they are doing can then use your equipment as a stage to attack something bigger, with no comeback on themselves - all traces will lead back to you apart from that, not much

been there, amazing experience! highly recommended but choose where you go wisely. There are fancy hotels and Western influenced and expensive areas just like anywhere else for the typical "package holiday" thing (yawn) but to be honest it's such a vibrant place you probably want to go back to basics and really experience the place - the culture and sights are amazing, it would be a shame to go but miss the point of it. stayed in Marrakesh in a traditional style Riad, really explored the town which was a real culture shock. Note really a dull moment, love to go back - probably will in the near future people are very friendly, most speak Arabic/Berber/French but many also speak English - and they generally seemed to love the English be careful what you eat, avoid anything in contact with their water (that hasn't been cooked) - I was careful yet still ill afterwards - bottled water is everywhere though - I was probably just unlucky Such a contrast from well off to extremely poor, you really should research before going to pick a suitable destination. really depends what you want from a holiday, some people go to England abroad in Spain, others choose to experience something quite different - this is much more a place to do the later not the former Apparently has beach resorts too, such as Essaouira really would say it's a "must visit country" for people who want to see the world. It won't appeal to everyone's tastes though - naturally

are these qualifications actually worth anything at the end of the day? did two interviews today, having an MS qualification would have made absolutely no difference to their chances I've never been asked to have them, never wanted them, never interviewed for a company who cared about them lol yes I do work in IT, maybe in a different field. There is much more to IT than Microsoft though I'd rather do something company agnostic (but technology specific) tbh

you're right, it doesn't make a lot of odds, just since it's only 100" 4:3 it makes a small screen for wide-screen films as projector screens go. you want to do what I can do in the spare room, I can use the whole wall which gives something like a > 18-20ft screen

hmmm could be interested but it's not widescreen is it, by the time a widescreen image is on there it's effectively quite small
-
hmmm can't say yours definitely is a bearing but you've got play in the wheel or do you mean in the steering (wheel)? if it's coming from the back, maybe it's drive shaft uj related, hard to say really hmmm well I guess it might depend exactly how the bearing has failed, main point being they tend to change in sound as you corner one way then the other.
-
I think wheel bearings normally make a low grumbley whirly noise like when you drive over a rough road surface, typically getting louder as you turn and put weight on the side that has gone and sometimes go silent when you turn the other way and the weight is taken off them (especially noticeable if it's a front one) I've got 1 to get done myself, this is not a particularly cheap fix then? with approx 4h * hourly rate labour + £50-100 bearing seal how much was the flange? good advice btw, cheers

or this in fact http://www.diecasts.biz/images/M/430_792581.jpg without such a big rear wing and no graphics seems that it might be so rare I'm wondering if it was a kitcar or replica now! lol It definitely had a proper engine, could hear the sound of something big and smooth, straight 6 or maybe V8 in there can't be more than one in sussex, I'll have to keep my eyes open for it now
-
the closest I've found is something like this http://www.gasolinealleyantiques.com/diecast/images/matchbox/mb-52.jpg but a real one lol was definitely something special, it was no M3/M5 with a bodykit
-
no, absolutely not! it was 100% more impressive than that, proper supercar looking
-
lol well based on those pics I'm not so sure now, certainly it was not standard by any means Damn I wish I'd taken a pic of it now! it was very well done, no cheap body kit it looked very professional like a race / homologation special perhaps? hmmm I don;t think it was tbh. It was much lower, sleeker and had the kinda slopey rear hatch shape of the M1 The lights were also very much M1 style it had twin exhausts

Took the supe out last night for the first time in a while. God I'd forgotten how much fun they are to drive anyway, at the garage at Hickstead there was a bright yellow BMW with seriously mean looking black wheels and I think with body kit etc, the whole thing looked really mean with flared wheel arches etc - left hooker to IIRC. A couple of chaps were standing by it discussing it (maybe it was for sale?). Anyway I left but later I was heading home and I happened to come up behind it on the A2600 Did some serious Leptons and came up behind it to which he put his hazards on lol slowed for a roundabout up ahead and he booted it out of the exit up the next straight. Unfortunately I couldn't give it any beans as I've got some rear tyre rubbing (soon to be sorted) so I waited until I'd straightened up before letting rip. He was quick a way ahead by then but flat out 3rd, 4th then into 5th I was right behind him no problems. We had to slow as we came up behind traffic at that point then we went our separate ways after a wave from me. Now I'm not a BMW fan in any way, this was probably the nicest BMW I'd ever seen. In yellow with it's flared wheel arches it reminded me of an Integrale evo in some ways. I think it could have been an M1, customised. Anyone know anything about these could confirm that or tell me anything about them or what people do to them?

yeah I do think it's common problem on many supras, maybe the paint is not so good there then. So, what do people think about waxoil for that area. It's not colour coded but it's not like it has to be body colour finish (just not rusting) as you can hardly see it and getting rid of the rust properly and permenently has got to be priority no 1. I don't think painting it body colour in an area like that is such an easy job and even with special primers I wouldn't necessarily feel that a diy job would be fully effective for many years to come
-
mine has a touch of surface rust there too, nothing as bad as that though. It's a common spot for supra's unfortunately. In fact I think mine is mostly just rusty water marks from where a small area , possibly the hinges have got wet. When the weather is better, I was going to clean it up and treat it with rust killer as mentioned, then I thought the best thing would be some Waxoil, as that area is a water trap at the best of times. Would this not be the best plan of attack, to completely seal it with Waxoil? You can hardly see in there so it doesn't really show much. Out of interest, why does the water get trapped there? Are there drain holes that get blocked or is it just the way it is?

There is a good deal in Halfords at the moment. It's quite big with two 'bedrooms' and a centre bit, 2 double inflatable mattresses, 4 deluxe sleeping bags and 2 lamps all for £99. https://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=10601&productId=230915&summaryOnly=true It's half price. You could just take this... http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/tech-gadget/strange-car-shaped-tent

If you squint a bit at the side of an impreza, it does rather have the side profile of a Mondeo "Japanese taxi" is the affectionate name for boxy, similar looking jap sports cars isn't it? although at least you'd get to your destination quickly in one of those (unlike the lada)
-
I think you need a full kit with wide arches and super wide wheels to pull off the veilside rear wing (it can look great). TRD is a nice option standard is very nice, but it does look like a carry handle for a toy car sometimes
-
I'm trying it now, the only thing I don't like is that I'm not getting an indication of it's progress - either that or it's hung lol
-
thanks Lewis, now I feel like a right numpty lol bearing in mind I'm a software developer - it's been a long day but to be fair if it does the job, I can't see the point in parting with hard earned cash cheers guys
