Lancaster insurance had the best price for me. very pleased with their quote. 1500 miles, commuting, £150 excess, private drive, agreed value, European breakdown, legal cover, salvage buy back. happy days -

They wouldn’t accept my BPU modifications, which is a shame because they agreed my agreed value no problem and said it’s something we would love to put on the books. Haggerty. -

One of the most helpful insurance thread contributions I’ve seen ive been with Lynbrook for years but they have changed from using ERS and I’m not sure I’m as happy with them anymore. I like the look of Haggarty and their vibe on their website seems to tick all the boxes. Wouldn’t have contacted them without the heads up, so thanks in advance of a quote from them. -
Replying to your original post: as a few have said a bit about already; it’s how you drive it. you can have lots of fun with the TT Auto below 100mph on A and B roads. Granted it won’t slow down to 10mph for a slow bend then rocket you out like a hot hatch, but for sweeping bends that you are talking about (must be if you’re reaching those speeds) then as has been said, try it in 2 with O/D off. Try changing down from D (o/d off) to 2 for a sweeping bend (or d with o/d off if the speed of the bend still has you up around 5k), keeping in the sweet spot of around 5k rpm; tease the throttle gently and the power is instantly there as the turbos are fully awake; lift off and enjoy the engine braking and exhaust noise. To me, this is the most enjoyable and rewarding way to drive a supra.

It’s best to just lift off a little for the last couple of minutes of your journey. They are now seen as an outdated gimmick

No I’ve not tried anything yet. Keep us updated if you try something on how it goes.

I’m having the same issue. It comes and goes. It first happened a few years ago and sorted itself out but I noticed it’s back now. You may find that cruise control doesn’t work either. I searched and found that it can be to do with a speed sensor fault. There are meant to be resistors in the ECU that commonly blow that may need replaced. I got a bunch of them on amazon the other week but it’s not an urgent job for me just now and was planning on more research before tinkering with the ecu

That’s what I have too. I like it, but put it this way; it needs to be a worthwhile task to lift it out

I managed to get a new oem alternator for a UK auto from Keron, but I can confirm that, apart from it being thin on the ground in the wild, it’s discontinued from Toyota and no longer available. UK Auto (TT) alternator part no- 27060-46111 -
Are you 100% sure your battery is working perfectly. I’ve just had to replace my alarm, but it was potentially battery issues. Was showing fully charged on ctek but halfords tested it and the battery was gubbed.

I have an SGS low profile one. It’s very well made but almost Impractically heavy if you need to move it without rolling it https://www.sgs-engineering.com/tj3lp-low-profile-garage-trolley-jack
