As above, most spend the night before at the hotel, grab a meal and a few drinks. With regards to cost's you are looking at about 300 to 400 quid for fuel, depending on how you drive and where you are to start with plus the overall route mileage which is less this year. You need some spending money for lunch stops and evenings. It's well worth doing the buffets for the 2 nights as the food has been excellent. You will have to fend for yourself on Saturday night, but normally there are various groups that go off to different restaurants depending on what you fancy.
