Car looks awesome mate! I Love your wheels! Makes me wish i had a black supra :( haha

EDIT: Also can i ask how you fitted your seats on to the supra rails and how hard was it. I have been wanting to buy some second hand seats for a while but the price of custom runners has put me off.

Cheers buddy, the seats are mounted into the standard rails so I didn't have to mess about at all to be honest, I did however have to lower the seats as in the foam simply due to them being to high. When I found my seats they had the runners on from Honda as standard so I fitted the standard supra parts to them any got them bolted into the car.

Just been reading through the build and with other commitments and my membership expiring ive not been updating!

As you will have guessed ive decided to keep the car,I honestly dont know what i was thinking wanting to sell it!.

As you know i did order some new facelift headlights however when i came to pick them up they were UK glass ones which i already had so decided i would stick with the ones i have simply as the facelift are not glass and the reason i put Uk spec on in the first place was i didnt want plastic.

Ive done 2700miles in the car since i rebuilt it and ive had no issues with rattles or squeeks of anykind so im happy about that however im in need of a new set of rear tyres as there dead.

Im making a few changes at the moment,The front bumper has gone for a re paint as it has stone chips on the lip and ive also sent the plastic engine covers to be painted the same colour as the car,Ive also decided to facelift the tail lights and give the engine bay a real good clean up.

Another issue im currently sorting is my race manifold has burned a hole through the air box circulation pod so im also having a look at how i can stop this,As usual ill take loads of pics and get them on.

Once ive done this it will be ready for suprapod :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I really need to update more as ive got loads of pics for you guys...............this could take all night!

So been making some changes over the last month or so,ive organised the pics so here we go.

ive done 2500 miles since i built the car and already the bumper was ready for a re paint so i stripped the car down and got the bumper sent over to the body shop along with my engine covers to match,I hate orange indicators so i replaced the orange bulbs at the same time...........pics are the strip down and re fit the painted bumper

Next i relocated the ignoighter due to my bonet vents being straight above it,I re located this just under the inlet manifold behind the dipstick.

I also tucked a small amount of the loom, i wont be getting all obsessive over the whole wiring took thing as i like the engine bay as it is.

this clean took me around 8 hours.........................

Due to having a custom race manifold im having some heat issues hence me getting the bonnet vents fitted,Ive got a totaly out there crazy ideay im going to be starting over the next few months to get even move air circulating the engine bay but im keeping my cards close to my chest with this one so ill update accordingley.

Anyway as i was saying the issue with heat is the manifold is burning through the air circulation cannister above it,Ive replaced this and moved it slightly to see if it cures the problem,if it happends again i will get the manifoled heat wrapped.

Tbf I wouldnt call it a race manifold as I very much doubt its been built to a proper race spec :p

Id very much like to have a closer look at it if your at the pod and if possible a quick ride to see if it lives up to its claimed bhp ;)

So next up carbon shine auto diffuser.

If im honest i was totaly let down by the qualiity after picking this up, the carbon weave was far from tight, no instructions and the drill holes were miles and miles out plus there was no way on this earth was i going to self tap this to my bumper so basicaly this was going to be a custom fit.

Id done my research and knew id have to take my spats off which was a killer as they have only been on 2500 miles but it was something i was willing to do.

Something i wanted was for the diffuser to not actualy touch the bumber to avoid it scratching so the plan was to get a 4.5mm gap between the bumber and the diffuser.

Also in my experience with carbon, when its "bolted" together on the exteriour of a car sand and grit etc gets in the joints and will crack it so i fully bonded and bolted everything then sealed all the joints to avoid future issues.

After planning and fitting this job took 14 hours to get it perfect!

Heres the pics (self tappers are noted on the diagram but were not used).............................................................
