Right so had a few of you guys ask where the cars upto, ive been to the bodyshop today to drop some bits off and although they are taking pics as they go i took a few myself just to give an idea of progress.had time to think and decided im sticking with astral black 202.its just had a 4 arches rolled (the paint cracked as expected) the front splitter is being bonded, the rear wiper motor hole has been welded up and the rear toyota badge removed, ive decided im keeping the front badge as i dont want loads of filler in the front bumper.currently there just going over it removing any dints or imperfections on the bodywork

Loads of hard graft and thought gone into that mate - nice one!

However, maybe its just me being OCD but if I was getting my dash panels done I would want all the weave in the 'carbon fibre' to match up between the different panels.

Pleased to see yours all run in the same direction though - nice neat work Dave.

Right so this this wasnt part of the plan however it came up at the right time so im going to get it fitted and see if i like it which if im honest im sure i will,my plan was to pick this up and then get some carbon end caps but to be honest i like the black ones it came with so thats how its staying.

So went to the bodyshop today and the cars coming on now,its ready to be rubbed down and primer to be applied.

One thing to mention is ive made a mistake going for the lowering springs insted of adjustable coilovers, the car just is not low enough so when i get the car home ill be taking the the brand new lowering spings off and selling them for some adjustable ones.

So i wanted to see what the spoiler would look like and im well happy with it,as ive said the car need to go alot lower for the look i want.

The spoiler has been painted before and me and the guy whos painting the car have both agreed it needs to be re-done so the spoilers coming apart and getting painted with the car however ill be leaving the carbon showing and not painting it.

very nice fella, where in york did you get that flocking done, i bet hes gonna get countless orders now. also which body shop are you using?

cheers buddy,i used a guy who has his own unit just off the A64 for the flocking im going to put all the info on about him at a later date as hes moving premises at the moment so cant take any work on just yet.

The bodyshop is RT Autobodies in leeds (01132500865) ive used a lot of bodyshops in the past and never found one good enough to keep using however richard who is the owner is fantastic. As you can see the cars not done yet and already i can say ill be using him again.his attention to detail is fantastic and ive not yet found any imperfections in his work. 100% worth the 60mile drive from my house just to get to him.

Right then not had time to get anything done over the last few weeks, however managed to get over to the bodyshop and take a few pics as the cars nearly ready to be picked up.

The cars had a full re-paint as you no and the skirts have now been fitted along with the spats, due to past experiences ive had the parts that are prone to stone chips coated with an anti-chip protection paint so fingers crossed it should hold up and the bonnet is now painted and ready to be flatted off.just the front bumper to paint now the its home time with the car.

Right so the cars back and here are the pics.

100% going to get coilovers as the new kit has highlighted the fact the suspension and wheels now need changing.

A reminder of what the car looked like when i started this thread..........

Im over the moon with this! i had the rear spats fitted and repaired, same with the skirts,All 4 arches rolled, bonnet vents cut in and meshed along with the front bumper, front bumper lip fitted, rear bumper filled (due to rear fog light being screwed on),rear toyota badge removed, rear wiper removed and of course a FULL re-spray for £2300.00 inc VAT.

I cant thank Richard the owner of RT AUTOBODIES in leeds enough! hes a car enthusiast and has a skyline and a full blown trackcar himself and this shows in his work and attitude towards it. all my friends and family will now be using this bodyshop.

The number is 01132500865
