btw: what does "stone chipped" mean on the gearbox tunnel pic?

Its like a protective coating / "paint" that protects the underside of the car dude. It is usually slightly rubbery to help stop it from being chipped by stones and such flicking up, exposing metal & leading to rust.

Car progress is looking stunning Ibrar! Very impressive stuff

Ibrar,

A question about your dash, sorry to clutter your thread.

I remember seeing somewhere in your thread you had the dash flocked, did your dash have that ugly hump in the centre caused by many years of sun exposure?

If yes, did you fix it, if that is at all possible?

My car has that hump, it annoys the hell out of me, looking to sort it out.

My dash has been re-trimmed in alcantara (never flocked) which came out of the facelift donor car and never suffered from delamination.

Hi Ibrar,

Just catching up with your Project. You really do have an eye for design. The trimming on your seats looks like some of the best I've seen. I'm sure I saw a dash pic somewhere, but can't now? Maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Cracking work.

Hey Ibrar, long time no see. Love the attention to detail you've achieved so far. Very inspirational! Is the car at your unit? I may need to come and say hi and ask about costs for you doing some work on mine. :)

Hi Steve.

Thanks, Yes car is at my work place, give me a shout when you want to pop down mate

Had a few bits chrome plated for the bling factor  I am still waiting on the turbo housing, water neck and a few other bits.

Here's a pic of what I have for now.

I only get weekends to work on the car, too busy during the week hence no updates ;) I just don't want to bore everyone with unecessary pics.

Nice bling!

Nice first post thanks, check out some of the other great projects on here too.

Just a small update, hacked off the throttle body adapter plate on my Hypertune manifold

Here's a comparison shot of old plate (left) and the new plate I had made to adapt the Corvette LS7 throttle body.

I test fitted the plate first just to make sure there was plenty of clearance before completely welding it up.

All welded up, got to say my welder has done a lovely job of welding the new adapter plate on.

Weekends update will be to have the manifold bolted back onto the engine and I will also be fitting the RPS clutch and V161 gearbox.
