  1. Yeah, you could be right. Would a nice vented (with real evil slanted vents) cf bonnet make that much of a visual impact? I know carbon on white looks awesome, not sure if that would be enough though? perhaps carbon ganador mirrors and a carbon boot too, or would that be ott (and kill my bank balance!)? Andy
  2. Spent Saturday sorting out a load of niggles on the car. Meshed the front bumper (sprayed black). Chnaged the numberplates for something a little more aesthetically pleasing, got my decals on and gave her a ruddy good clean! Much better! Although now, Ive decided the car is missing something. I think it's because there is so much white. Im contemplating going down the route of graphics.... nothing (too!) tacky, perhaps something in a chromaflair red, perhaps japanese-style inscriptions? Not sure yet, I just know it's missing that 'wow' factor. Andy
  3. I saw your car running too, mate! Looked awesome at full chat! Andy
  4. Great job there, mate! That bumper does look great in white. Andy
  5. Would be happy to, but I dont want to take business away from a trader (perhaps I should start thinking about setting up a trader account though. What do I need to do?). Plus, Im pretty busy at the moment, so Im sure Lucifer could complete the job for you quicker than I can at the mo! Andy
  6. This is my friend Roy's Focus that Im currently helping him with. So far, we've flushed the rear tailgate, fitted a WRC spoiler and blended a Rieger diffuser/apron in to the bumper. It's only been primed so far, as we are awaiting the rest of the kit before the whole car is sprayed. Andy
  7. Now Im pretty much happy with the exterior of the car, Ive turned my attention to indoors! Got a brushed aluminium dash kit, blue LED conversion on all the crappy green lights, lots of ICE, stainless steel dials and a Momo Millenium wheel to finsish things off. A much happier place to be now! Just need some leather front seats in there now and I will be a happy fella! Andy
  8. Haven't found anything in my Supra under the carpets, BUT in my RX a couple of years ago, I found (under the door pocket when you pull it out) a list of japanese girl's phone numbers and pictures! My Rex' previous owner was a total playa! lol Andy
  9. Yes, it certainly made a refreshing change from the previous 'winter' meets! Thanks, MrAngry! And thanks Mr T for being me white convoy partner! They do look nice together now. Andy
  10. I'll be there! Hope Im not "checked out" too much though. Andy
  11. Any use to anyone? Since Ive fitted my Wheelmania alloys (which use smaller lugs, these are no use to me). Im going to Fairmile tomorrow if they are of use to anyone? The price..... free! Andy
  12. Okay.......... when is it? Are you guys having a stand? If so, can I get on it?? Andy
  13. Looks fantastic, mate! Excellent job there. Andy
  14. Yes, it certainly helps! Its fantastic to have that sort of support and back up, as I hope to make a business of show cars soon. Me and my friends have several show cars now for this show season, so hopefully that will make a big enough impact to get a few more jobs coming in. We have done quite a lot of unique mods out there! Yeah, dust extraction is absolutely essential. If you can get some sort of heat extraction Id say get involved and have a go! Andy
  15. Thanks, Gareth. My friend owns a bodyshop, and so was kind enough to let me use his oven/guns etc etc. Not sure on what makes they are, but can find out for you? Andy
  16. No, dont mind at all, mate. Im still learning to paint but done most of it myself! Just got a little help putting the pearl on, as I still need to master that. It truly is an art. The paint is a Toyota 'Metallic White Sparkle'. Used two litres of white basecoat and two litres of pearl. That worked out to £120 (which is a trade price). I used four coats of UCI lacquer which works out at another £40, so all in all, not too expensive. Im really happy with it. Think the car look infinitely smarter, and really modernises the whole appearance. Andy
  17. Well, shes painted.......... and Im chuffed to bits! The colour has turned out PERFECTLY! Very hard to take a picture of it, but it is a Toyota white with a very fine metallic and gold/blue pearl. I think it's spot on! Still got lots to do (mesh front bumper, get small front numberplate, clear indicators, late spec rear lights etc etc etc!!!!), but she's made great progress this weekend. Anyway, enough of me babbling, here's some piccys! Hope you all like. Andy
  18. That looks gorgeous! very unique, individual and menacing! Looks fantastic compared to the 'before' shot! i keep flicking between the two and am amazed its the same car! Awesome effort, mate! Andy
  19. I did this! Got rid of the foglight from the bumper and the indicator. Relocated the indicator into the headlight. The earlier lights have two sidelights, so just used one of those. Andy I think it cleans the fron up a lot.
  20. That looks awesome, Jon. This is one aspect that really lets my car down. What sort of ballpark figure do I need to get a boggo engine bay to look something like this? Andy
  21. A Nintendo 64! Proper retro! :d E Bay special!... One console boxed with wiring (full working order) Goldeneye (obligatory!!!) Super Mario World £28! Get in! Ha ha ha Andy
  22. Yeah, good point, Pete. Ive drove the car for about half hour after and attacked a few speedbumps slightly harder than I normally would. How long do you think? A day or two perhaps? Comparing a shock spring to a new one, they hardly look any different in height. Should I assume I had lowered springs anyway, or will they just compress more than a standard jobbie? Andy
  23. Bit disappointed this weekend.... My Tein lowering springs arrived this weekend, got the front ones on and the front bumper looks..... no lower at all. Bugger! Money well wasted! Got the choice now of getting some springs specifically made up, or make a front splitter for the bumper. Going to paint the car next Saturday, and take it from there I think. On a positive note, I got the diffuser on this weekend to finish the arse end of. Brings the rest of the back down to flow a little more with the rear spats. Andy
  24. Really? I must admit, I havent tracked a Supe before, but I cant imagine it handling too hot or getting round a corner in a hurry. Would love to be proved wrong though, I love my Supra and would love to see it play with other big jap cars! Andy
