  1. Re-aligned my diffuser today. Sits much better now and is ultra held on! Whilst I was there, I painted it black (and about half an inch of the bottom of the rear bumper too for effect). Matches in a little more with the recent rear light mod too. AND whilst I was there, I polished what I could reach of my exhaust, so thats clean for the first time in it's life! Here are a few pics I took today (mainly of the back of the car, but a few of the front too as it was clean for once!). Andy
  2. Thanks very much, everyone, it's really encouraging to hear such positive comments, especially on such a 'cahvvish' mod by owners such as yourselves. Ive been busy today too. My diffuser wasn't perfect, so I masked up some of the car today, and blacked it with aerosol today... well happy, will upload some pictures in a bit and put them on a new thread. Really matches in great with the rear lights. Really pleased Ive done them both now, it's like a mini facelift! Andy P.S. They look GREAT on a black car!
  3. Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Yes, mate, of course I'll help! Anytime, let me know when your free. lol, and yeah, she does look wider without the spoiler, doesnt she?? Quite a few people have said this. I think losing the spoiler really does show off the curves of the car much better. Andy
  4. Well, by lacquering them, it should give them some reflective quality, so as long as you don't meet too much of an arsehole MOT-er and you dont go TOO dark (I could have gone a lot darker, you need to know when to stop. Very easy to over do it, as they go even darker as it dries), you should be okay. Mine is due an MOT in a week or so, so I will report back! Andy
  5. D'oh. Well you go to any shows later in the year, let me know, and I will bring the can's remnants along if you want me to. As long as we can find a non-breezy area! Andy
  6. Just outside of Croydon, unfortunately! How about you? Andy
  7. No, but I tell you what, come round my place and I'll do it for free to yours. Still got a bit of tint left. It will certainly give you an idea of how it will look! Andy
  8. I did, yeah. had some Halfrauds lacquer lying around (actually found it in the same cupboard... my early days of 'modding', eh? lol) so gave it a couple of coats just to give it a little shine and gloss. Most of the kids who use tinting spray dont bother with this and it really does make the difference from an okay look to a slightly more professional look. Andy
  9. Cheers, mate. I think facelift ones look nicer, but the difference between FREE and £110 (ish) made me decide to give it a go! Glad I did now, like you said, nicer than the pre-facelift ones. Andy
  10. Good man! Four bolts away from one of the cheapest mods you will ever do! Andy
  11. lol, phew, thanks, mate! Iwas a tad dubious myself, but figured no harm done if it all went catastrophic. I know it looks awesome on black cars, but Im now convinced brighter cars can get away with it too. Cant wait to see it in the dark. Far too many stairs for me to bother with now, though! Andy
  12. Was tidying (yes, the 'T' word!!!) a cupboard earlier and found an old can of rear light tinting spray. Couldn't decide whether to use it for the sake of it, but figured I wanted to get late spec rear lights at some point, so if they looked shite, it was no big loss. And it would come off with thinners if I REALLY hated it, so took them out, and an hour later, put them back in again all sprayed and lacquered. I actually quite like them! Before.... After.... All lights still perfectly visible.... But totally invisble when off. Well chuffed!.... Nicer than the standard, stock early spec jobbies anyway. Andy
  13. Hmm, Im really interested in doing this in the Winter. Ive tried my best with an auto, but am really missing a proper 'box! Andy
  14. Good for you. Just going on what Ive been told. Did sound a lot, but hey. My car only has basic mods, decat etc. Andy
  15. As below.... reminded me I have one of these lurking around. Happy to accept £15 plus postage if anyone is interested, or can bring it to any Cobham meet. Andy
  16. Just got home.... she made 264 hp at the wheels on 0.8 bar of boost, so Im happy with that. Apparently (according to Surrey Rolling Road) you lose about 25% with an auto box, so flywheel figure should be around the 340 hp figure, SO all in all, about right. Need a boost controller now! been told she could easily take 1.2 bar as the fuelling is all good, so want to see what it will do with that now. All in all, Im happy! Andy
  17. Id buy them.... I bought sideskirts and spats from E bay... both fitted fine. Bought a front bumper from a reputable dealer... that was the hardest bit to fit! Depends if you're willing to put a bit of time in. I assume every bit of kit I buy will never fit. Cant be disappointed that way. Andy
  18. I can get the full range of House of Kolor products. Let me know whatyou're interested in, and I will try to get you a price if you like? Andy
  19. Im well nervous!.... hate these bloody things! Above all, it's mainly Golfs, 206's etc, and I know there is pressure to put out a decent figure. So hope she does!.... Will let you all know tonight. Andy
  20. What area do you live in? Im interested. Could we meet up instead and swap them straight over? Andy
  21. I'll be the one with one eye bigger than the other and the slightly 'springed' feet! Beats a red carnation anytime! Andy
  22. Wouldn't hurt to put a couple of pictures up, mate. You might get lucky and find someone thats a bit hard up at the moment. A couple of pictures of your car all cleaned up might just tip them your way! Good luck. Andy
  23. Nah, no probs. Im glad everyone had a good time anyway. Im a total (self) confessed car nut, so it was nice merely to see a couple of other Supes at least as I dont see too many on the roads. Would have been nice to meet a couple more owners in the flesh, but there is always next time! Andy
