  1. thanks guys, most helpful. Gareth had pretty much said the same last night i'll try & get it sorted today then
  2. that looks like the one seen it a few times in the area shall try & get a card to him at the next opportunity i heard a rumour that someone spilled vodka all over his interior which managed to get into the electrics & it's never been right since!
  3. i'm pretty sure i've just got a loose pipe somewhere, but if i don't get chance to sort it in the next day or so, am i ok to drive it still? just finished installing my new front mount - can still hear the spooling of the turbo #1 but it won't get into positive boost since it's a bumper off job again to check all pipes & connectors, it could be weekend before i get to do it, but still could do with driving it to work & back, which is only a couple of miles away
  4. veilside kit with a TRD bonnet? seen you about a couple of times now - you said hi this week when i passed you near Pontins
  5. parked up near Debenhams, front mount intercooler, large blingy wheels & lots of decals down the side
  6. ***NOW SOLD*** bought this to put in my Supra but ended up taking the lazy option & getting a Kenwood double din all in one unit! the case has marks on it from it's last install (hence why i didn't put mint condition) but this doesn't affect the functionality in any way it's currently got an unofficial XP Media Center OS on it, ready for you to put your choice of CarPC software onto it, e.g. RoadRunner CarPC - Iwill ZPC GX with Intel P4 2.8Ghz CPU - 512Mb DDR SDRAM - 40Gb 2.5" hard drive - onboard Intel Extreme graphics & audio - 10/100 network card - slim tray loading DVD/CDRW combo drive - vented case with fan (bit smaller than a Playstation 2 case) - all audio/video/power cables inputs: 2 x firewire, 4 x USB, front/rear microphone/line in, Serial port, PS2 mouse & keyboard outputs: VGA, front/rear speaker out Power supply/shutdown controller - Carnetix CNX-P1900 V2 power regulator with delayed shutdown controller (controls power to the PC, delaying the shutdown after the car's ignition has been switched off & can also power a screen) Other bits - mini USB keyboard (with blue backlight) - Logitech USB webcam (for recording Spirited Driving Chronicles!) - domestic power supply for the PC, should you need to use it indoors instead of in the car Finally, i also have the following bits that came with it but aren't included in the price, the buyer can just have them to do what they will with: Xenarc/Gain 7" touchscreen display - this is everything except the actual casing (it was going to be used for a custom dash install) and requires a new touchscreen panel (about $40 from the Xenarc USA mail order site. Displays output from the PC absolutely fine RoyalTek GPS mouse - this came with the PC but i've never got it to work (could just be a driver issue) but it looks like the cable has been cut to make it longer which may be the problem would make a great project for someone, the possibilities are endless, i just didn't have the time ***NOW SOLD***
  7. When i last enquired with Sky (the club insurer) the 2 things they wouldn't allow were Nitrous & roll cages. If you requested them to, they would however put a special request in to Ensign for them to consider it. Just thought i'd say in case someone was going to get the kit first & then enquire about the insurance.
  8. that is a good reaction time good luck with the car, how have you decided to get it down there? hope it isn't something serious. no probs on the lift

    Manual Vs Auto

i think this is the stock statistic
  10. was nice to meet you too Bobbeh i thought your times were bloody good for stock too letmeshowyou's time is fantastic also for a BPU, very impressive. i wish i'd tried lowering my tyre pressure now & was able to run the full 1.2 bar
  11. personally, i'd be a little bit anoyed if they'd told me the same, only to find out the opposite, along with some highly respected specialists on here recommending you shouldn't even drive it in that condition? it was only revenge for Elvington i've got CW decats, aftermarket exhaust, running about 1.0-1.1 bar with a restrictor ring (never really see more than about 14/15psi on my boost gauge), an Apexi induction kit and an improved earthing kit the new front mount is sat in the dining room waiting to go on

    Manual Vs Auto

mikes, speak to one of our members called Steb He recently made the move from a Rover 220 Coupe turbo (also modified too) to a manual twin turbo & he was not disappointed Common reasons i've heard for choosing an N/A over a TT are insurance costs, fuel costs or actual price of purchasing one. If you can afford each of these then i'd recommend the TT, since most of us still end up trying to make those go faster after a short while!!
  13. as Rob mentioned Leon, Dodgy is about to sell his S-AFC if you decide to go this way out of interest, you were also speaking highly of a certain tuning company on Saturday, was this the same company who advised you that you didn't need to trim the fuelling with the 550s? i knew something had to be wrong with the setup on Saturday as i just couldn't see you gaining anything hardly on me down the strip, when i was expecting you to catch up/pass me before the finish line
  14. speak to Dodgy if you end up needing a new SAFC mate
  15. when you get the opportunity Mark, i beat by personal best on Saturday Reaction: 0.5340 60ft: 2.2239 330ft: 5.7849 1/8 ET: 8.6541 1/8 MPH: 85.37 1000': 11.0578 1/4 ET: 13.1940 1/4 MPH: 109.73 thanks
  16. nicely done cheers Daman, going to give it a go one of the upcoming weekends hopefully, can't wait
  17. is this definitely the right set of instructions chaps? it refers to cutting some sections out of the body & other parts which i thought wasn't necessary for this kit?
  18. hehe, i had to do something since you're claiming you're still 'BPU' plus i wasn't seeing over 1/1.1 bar on the boost guage
  19. good pics, great day out, shame you missed it Gaz, but i'm sure there'll be others hopefully everyone got home safe & no car casualties Derek, everything ok with yours?
  20. stock wheels & spoiler but some sorts of side & rear spats looked nice in black & quite low too you'd just enjoyed a subway with a couple of other chaps howdi
