  1. Yeah will be loosing that fog light asap - just gonna get me a fresh MOT done before I go BPU next month so will take it off after that! My shocks are yellow Bisteins which made me wonder because my last Supe had black ones. I too wondered what that white harness was, never noticed it til I posted the pics. Will check tomorrow when it's daylight. Thanks for the comments guys....
  2. Hey I finally picked up my new Supra on Saturday but had been holding back on the pics until I had fitted my new Axis Hiros (Cheers Gaz1 - they look class;)). Apart from the styling it's a totally stock TT and in very good nick - it's done 82k and it's an auto (Will I ever be able to afford a 6 speed in black??) Chuffed to bits with it! Now it's just a case of collecting my bits together for BPU. I can't wait. :) Here's the pics... Oh, I also had my first 'kill' on Saturday down some country lane - it was a Magpie... Oh yeah - daft question time but what colour are stock shocks?
  3. I'm on the look out for BPU stuff for my new Supe but unsure which exhaust to go for. I had an RSR on my last car and although I loved the sound it could be a bit too loud at times. I had the baffle for it which did work a treat but it would sound a bit raspy on WOT so I tended to leave it out.. Anyone got any suggestions on a quieter exhaust?
  4. I'll thke the Restrictor Rings - cheers. PM sent..
  5. I don't think Sky offer Agreed Valuaton to new customers anymore - just existing. I pick my new Supra up in the morning and have tried Sky, A-Plan and Adrian Flux. When I rang Sky I got a quote for £890 but was told they no longer offer agreed valuation. Adrian flux have quoted me £789 with less excess, courtesy car, free windscreen, protected NCB, insured TP on other cars etc etc. I'm going with them - they have more flexiblity and options on payments too A-Plan have yet to ring me back.

    jaffa cakes

Football teams eat Jaffa cakes at half time, including the National Team - they're actually better than real Oranges. Something to do with low in fat but high in carbohydrates. I rekon they're cakes anyway, biscuits have a hard base usually. Jaffa's have a cake like base.
  7. Hey - Welcome to the club Just so you know, the majority of owners on here will have a Jap Spec Supra which is different to what you have. There are a few lucky owners howewer, that could afford the UK Spec Supra which is the same spec as yours. That's not implying the Uk/US Spec is better. They're just more expensive and hold their value better in the UK due to insurance. Apologies if you knew that already, but it may have been a little confusing reading a few threads...
  8. Well Lexus is just the prestige arm of Toyota isn't it? ie a Toyota rebadged to appeal to the more affluent??? So if this is Toyota's flagship sports car (as was the Mkiv Supra back in '93) in essence it's the MkV Supra and therefore kinda relevant on here Awesome vid anyway Henk - it sounds the muts nuts!
  9. The things is I know you guys are right, it's just I can't warrant spending over a grand on wheels and tyres! In a perfect world I'd be ordering a set of black chrome Weds SA-70's with F1's off you Nic but I simply can't afford it. And even if I could it would still really begrudge me when there's so much else I could be buying for the car. I need to compromise somewher, I know oither peole do hence thhis thread. So should I perhaps compromise on alloy wheel and not tyre??? Oh and Guigsy, who do you mean by Gaz and Chris?
  10. I wanted some new 18" wheels (& tyres) but there seems to be such a varied priced range. What should I realisticly pay for a set? I don't mind having budget tyres for now.... I can't afford to spend £1200+ like some people on here do but can afford around £800 - £900. There's packages on the net for £500 upwards (£700 with wider rears), what's wrong with these kind of packages? Is it really necessary to spend double the amount or are you just paying for a name rather than better quality?
  11. Anyone ever had a tattoo removed? Any idea how much it costs?
  12. They used to use Cocaine to clear blocked noses and other sinus problems. You could buy it over the counter in a little snuff box early 1900's, that was until everyone started getting addicted to it! Just an idea, more pleasant than the nasal wash I guess.
  13. I really need to get into SLR photography, it's sooo much better! Is it difficult though? And do you need to spend £300+? I've just been backpacking round South America and saw so many beautiful things that my compact digital camera just couldn't do justice! I saw a few travellers with an SLR and I bet they got better shots than me.

    scoob to supra tt

Yep, the auto's are a great car. My best mate has owned loads of Impreza's and begged me not to get an auto Supra. I was in the same boat as you and couldn't afford a 6 speed so got an auto. When my mate eventually drove my Supra he soon changed his anti auto opinion. He absolutely loved it. And when I kicked his ass on the key-way he finally realised he'd bought the wrong car!
  15. I upgraded my mobile last week and today I had two D900i's delivered by mistake. When ordering I was told that they'd send the phone in a small pack that goes through the letterbox and a seperate parcel with a charger in. What seems to have happened is they sent me a phone in a small package (with-out a charger) and a phone in a normal box with a charger! All in the same box. Nothing was signed for. The second phone would be on Ebay now if it weren't for one thing - the invoice in the box lists both phones. One as just a D900i and the other as a D900i Enviro Pack. They've already produced a bill and I've not been charged for extra phone. So what would you do with it? Sell it or send it back?
  16. This, I shit you not, is true. Recently when backpacking in South Anerica I met a pissed up American in my hostel who had a disliking for the English. Whilst slurring he turned to me and said: "Anyway, why is it you English named all your towns after our towns" I couldn't believe my ears - niether could this other English guy playing pool who turned round in disbelief and said to the Yank "What? We have pubs older than your country" Perfect response.
  17. Excellent info there Nic, I shall copy and paste that info somewhere for future reference as I've never been sure on correct size / width / PCD etc. The only other thing was offset. For each size wheel what is the min / max you should have? (and how does the minimum difer if you have j-spec or UK breaks?)
  18. These wheels are pretty awesome! When I first saw Stonkins 'For Sale' thread I decided that my next Sup must be black and with them wheels. Thing is I could never afford them, so I was wondering Dean - which wheels were you looking at and how much are they from WM? More money I take it? PM if you like!
  19. Iains advert was little more detailed and coherent. I wouldn't be ineterested in an NA - TT (5 Speed) anyway. Too many issues upon resale etc... Thanks guys.
  20. I wondered how long til someone took the piss out the ad! Oh and there's a reason why there's only a few of them spoilers too!
  21. Doh, that's trying to do 3 things at once while pissed in an internet cafe in Dublin! Erm, here it is!
  22. As title, he's had work done at Interpro so could be a member. Interested to know the history from past posts etc as I'm on the look-out for a new Sup. Not been on the board much recently due to traveling so maybe I've missed it somehow... A car that's had a new engine always scares me though!!
  23. Excellent plan Gary, I did the exact same thing and sold my Sup back in January to go traveling. I sold my car and went to South America! It's been awesome! Sitting in Las Vegas right now after the Hatton fight but alas, my trip ends in 1 week and I'll be back in sunny England. I'm on the look out for a new TT as it happens but I can't afford a 6 speed, oh well good luck with the sale - you should sell no probs at that price.
  24. Been there loads too James, my mates were at Uni there so it was Speed Queen all the time! I love Headingley too, crazy town....
