  1. He's not breached bail though has he? Sentence has already been passed....
  2. It depends how you want to become qualified. I went to night College a few years back to do a 2 year Electrician course. 2 nights a week, 3 hours practical and 3 hours math/theory. Personally I found this a little pointless. As I wasn't practicing day in day out what I had learnt at college I'd forget most of it. This is why a 17 year old YTS on day release to college will learn quicker, they're practicing everything they learn at college on the job. And that's the catch 22 - how can an adult take a wage cut to YTS standard? They can't. IMO the best thing to do is what my mate is doing. He starts a 4 month intensive Plumbing course next week, 40 hours a week at a dedicated college. At the end you're fully Corgi qualified - but it costs £4200.
  3. Thanks for that CJ, positive reading I think. No he didn't have a suspended sentence so they can't now impose that. Despite how it sounds the guy's 29 and never been in trouble with the law before, this DD was totally out of character. Hopefully the magistrates realise this and are lenient with him.
  4. Anyone know about or have experience with this? My mate got done back in November for Drink Driving and was DQ'd for 2 years with 6 months probabtion. He's an idiot for doing it so no need to point it out - he did take a speed camera out in the process though! Anyhow, he informed his Probation Officer he was going away for 5 weeks to India over Xmas so wouldn't be able to attend his weekly meeting. She told him he couldn't have more than 2 weeks but like the tit he is he went anyway. So yesterday he gets of the plane in Heathrow to be greeted by 3 police officers who arrest him. Spends a night in the cell and due in court tomorrow. Any idea what will happen to him?
  5. Unlucky dude, waste of timeand money all round then I guess Margarita ay?? You can do more than just windsurf over there from what I hear?
  6. Could do with some recomendations on sites. This is not for me but my old man. Every year after Xmas he does a 3 month detox and stays in every night and gives up the beer. He gets a little bored and asked me where he can play Poker online. Now he's next to hopeless on the PC so something with a user freindly website would be a bonus. I just looked in the browser history on his PC and he's been visiting all kinds of dodgy sites to pass the time - it turns out he has a thing for stocking and suspenders! So I could do with a decent poker site before he goes blind!
  7. The insurance companies encourage you to claim for whiplash! My Mom was involved in an accident, a car hit her in the rear and totally wrote off her Laguna. Thankfully my Mom was fine, thankfully the Renault wasn't! All through the claim on at least 3 occasions 3 different insurance advisors tried to talk my Mom into claiming for whiplash even though she had no pain whatsoever. It's a dog eat dog world, the insurance companies have people claim off them falsely so why not return the favour? It's just business.
  8. I've bought a locking nut removal tool now - similar to the one you hammer on but this one you wind on anti clockwise. Thing is the tool is slightly too wide to fit into the alloy nut hole - if that makes sense? I will have to grind it down a little....
  9. I may be wrong but I think that thread was originally twice the size of what it is now??? I seem to remember Darren(Pneumoni) begging Jake to remove his girls pic from his Avatar - Jake humorously refusing. Then the girl reading the whole thread and dumping Darren cus she thought he was starnge. Then accusations of Darren making the whole thing up??? I can't remember if that's right, it was a good read at the time but can't be arsed to re-read the thing again....
  10. Total thread hijack so sorry Cools, but seeing as Matt's reading this I thought I'd post up my problem too... I too have a Toad Ai606 alarm which has stopped working altogether. At first I thought the battery in my alarm fob had run out, but my spare fob wouldn't work either. I now have disarmed the alarm with the immobilser fob but have to open and lock my car with the key - the alarm doesn't respond at all. The battery on my car had gone flat as I hadn't started the car in a month - could this have affected the alarm somehow? Either way I'm without an alarm....
  11. Cheers guys, I've had a ring round but nobody seems to be able to take it off - or wants to try. I'll keep trying....
  12. As title - looked everywhere but can't find it to get the wheel off my car! Is there any way I can get the locking nut off without damaging it or the wheel? It's a BBS locking nut - can I get a new key off BBS do you think? Or would an alloy/tire place have a tool to remove it? Help!
  13. Not read the thread Jamie but I saw one in the showroom at Motorhouse near me the other day - this is cheap I think. £17999 http://www.themotorhouse.co.uk/ecarsuk/918198_0_4416/vauxhall_monaro_v8/index.htm

    Balaclava.

You knew that it'd be trouble right before the very first kiss Quiet and assuming but you heard that they were the naughtiest She pleaded with you to take it off but you resisted and fought Sorry sweetheart, I'd much rather.... .... keep on the balaclava :nana: Arctic Monkeys rock...
  15. To be honest dude I never, I should've asked on here first I guess for any advice. I was just at the mercy of PC World, I tried their most powerful routers costing £150 quid and I also tried those range extenders. But all no good. I've already bought and installed all the cable now anyway, just need to get the RJ45's on...
  16. I've had to run the cable 30 metres from my house to our office in our extension. Tried every wireless router known to man but not enough range....
  17. Ahh - cheers guys. No I have got the correct RJ45 socket, I just knew I had done something wrong. I got the copper connecters pushed down enough to plug the cable in, but I could tell something wasn't right. I'll have to get some proper 8 pin crimps then. Trouble is I think I've already ruined one router, luckily I have a spare. But my nice new Dell PC doesn't have a spare Ethernet socket and I think I've damaged it! Amateur!
  18. I'm trying to make up an ethernet cable to link a PC to a router. I've connected the RJ45 to the data cable but it won't fit into the ethernet socket on my router. I've gathered that you have to somehow push down the copper connecters inside the RJ45 onto the wires but how do I do it? I've tried pliers but this only gets them so far in. I can now get the RJ45 into my router but I fear I may have damaged the ethernet socket... Anyone know what I'm on about?
  19. I was hoping they'd test drive the Nissan GT-R this series, been looking forward to that for some time. Can't wait to see it on the track with Stig. The AMG should be awesome - loads of torque!!
  20. Reminds me of The Big Breakfast and 'Pun of the week' Caledonian had beat Celtic 3-1 in the cup, the headline in The Sun was: 'Super Caley Go Ballistic Celtic Are Atrocious' Genius

    Las Vegas

I've been three times to Vegas now and I'm going back again in May. I've done it on all budgets too so know what's good value. I've stayed at The Mandalay Bay and The Venetian (Both 5* - very expensive). I also stopped off in Vegas in June when finishing a 4 month backpacking trip in South America to take in the Hatton Vs Castillo fight. That time however I stayed in a Hostel at the end of the strip by The Stratosphere - $20 a night there! (Sin City Hostel) This May though I'm staying at the 3* Excalibur. Whilst the more expensive hotels are superb even the likes of the Excalibur piss on anything we have here in the UK. So I wouldn't bother splashing out on the top hotels. As for Vegas itself it's an awesome place. The Hoover Dam was cool but Grand Canyon over-rated. Hookers and Strip bars are silly expensive - so i've been told. So if you're going for that reason then head for Thailand instead. A good tip is that so long as you have money in a slot machine then all drinks are free - same in every Casino.

    Las Vegas

I went in June for Hatton's fight with Castillo! Had an awesome time, went to the weigh-in too at Ceasers Palace. I watched the new Ricky Hatton DVD last night and yours truely is on it! I got right to the front at the weigh in when they were filming the DVD! We're throwing a huge party at our house for the fight and have invited everyone we know - I'm just praying he does it, although this time I'm not so sure he will...
  23. I remember reading an article about Tesco a couple years back in the paper. Tesco had some kids books for sale with the Tesco price sticker on the front saying £3.99. Underneath however you could make out an Asda price sticker for £1.99. Apparently the book supplier was responsible for putting the stickers on. When sending the books (originally meant for Asda) to Tesco, they just stuck the Tesco stickers over the top. Just goes to show how much Tesco rip you off! IMO you can't beat Asda.
  24. The only way Hatton wins this if by KO, if it goes to the cards he's got no chance. Mayweather is a real class act and can outbox any man on the planet - including Hatton. Ricky needs to smother Mayweather and keep up the relentless pressure on the inside, give Floyd no space at all to do what he does best. It's gonna be a rough night for Hatton but if he pulls this off it's up there with England winning the World Cup for me - and almost as likely!
