  1. Man I wish I could have Lucid dreams - that would be the bollox. I read somewhere once that listening to someone telling you their dream is about as interesting as listening to someone telling you their drug experiences. I always try not to 'bore' anyone with either but just can't help it. Dreams are class, I surprise myself with how my brain can think up of such complete randomness.
  2. Some people package the stuff in wrapping paper or something like that. It then looks like a gift so wont get taxed - at least I think so. It's kinda hit and miss anyway I think - some parcels get taxed and some don't. I had a Blitz Dual BC off Nic which came from Hk - that never had any import tax added.
  3. Bill Prawn I feel for you bud, I really do. I was supposed to be leaving for Canada for six months mid Jan but my Visa never came through in time. I'm still here!! I had to sell my BPU Sup over the Xmas period and got nowhere near what I wanted. I let it go for just £5600 and believe me it was worth at least a grand more, see my Garage - it was immaculate. I was just panicking that I wouldn't sell it in time before I was due to leave. IMHO bud your car is worth £6.5k. Sorry but Supras are coming down in value fast.
  4. I may be wrong but Turbofit don't have a RR, they just know somewhere local that does it. Don't quote me on that though.
  5. Cool - it will be a beast no doubt. The labour wasn't all that much in respect to the overall outlay, not bad at all. Have you considered selling up and buying yourself a single already done? Surely you'd save at least £3k. Saying that though I know how easily you can get attached to a Supe. Oh, get some pics up in you Garage so we can see your car!
  6. What kind of power you hoping for with all that? Also, if you don't mind doing can you split the cost into just parts and labour? You don't have to disclose who's labour quote that is. Just wondering how much could be saved if this was a DIY job.
  7. Get yourself a cuppa mate and read through the (very long) threads posted on first post. Basically yeah, the car isn't an Aerotop and started off as an RZ/GZ. They've just cut a piece out the roof and it has no real additional chassis support....
  8. He has mentioned in the ad he's waiting on a build report from Veilside but whether he ever gets one is another thing altogether. This alone should ring alarm bells with someone buying. Also I'd like to think that anyone in their right mind thinking about buying a £20k Supra will consult somewhere like here first. It's also quite a specialist type of Supra and only someone in the know would appreciate the value of the kit etc... Fingers crossed ay?
  9. Had a look and can't see if it's a repost..... Ebay Advert He does admit it never started out as an aerotop to be fair. Original threads for those that want to know the history on this car... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=95982 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=96161
  10. Who me or Dragonlady? I was the only auto when I was there I think, mostly Scoobys. An RS Focus and an RX7
  11. Errm, I did look at that and still wasn't sure! Like I said I'm a muppet with mechanics! Oh, sig changed. I was holding fire until the injector thing was confirmed - I may as well leave the figures though cus I like em! To be fair to Weston, on the day I went of the 20 or so cars that went on everyone got figures they ecpected. If anything a few of the Scooby owners were disappointed with their results. And they didn't try and sell anything to anyone on the back of their dyno's.
  12. Cheers, I wont tell you what bit I was looking at!
  13. I'ma complete noob when it comes to mechanics, just so I know for future reference which bit is the injectors?
  14. Oh and they said they calculated the fly figure by chassis number or something? I can't remember what they said at the time, I was seriously hungover. They never gave me a wheel figure, just fly.
  15. Matt, I've been dyno'd at Western before and they do dyno over two gears with an auto. This not right I take it? I did wonder at the time why they didn't do it in just one gear.
  16. I must have missed that bit, good advice though Rob!
  17. After reading through this thread I can see how both Dragonlady's comments and other members comments could be misconstrued as being rude. Either way no need for everyone to fall out. From what I can see this is very straight forward, the car is either more than BPU or the dyno was wrong. Simple.
  18. Big City Life? :d One of my all time favourite songs is Hurt By Johnny Cash. It got some critical acclaim but no kind of commercial success. Now that song has some meaning, great video too.

    Sexy Beast

On four now, absolute class movie. Kingsley gives one of my all time favourite performances. 'What's that Sancho? You want me to cut your hand off and use it as an ashtray?'

    The fun begins...

Keep us posted Steven mate, would be interested to know what exactly is wrong with it.
  21. Is TG popular in the States too then? I know it's supposed have viewers in the hundred of millions world wide but couldn't see it being all that popular in America. Afterall it's so anti American and they constantly take the piss out of their cars.
  22. From his website, carved out of wood... http://www.liviodemarchi.com/images/giubbo_aviatore.JPG That's serious talent man!

    The fun begins...

Just saw this thread Steven, sorry to hear about all your problems. I bought a GT4 once knowing it had boost issues, I thought it was just a cracked boost hose. Oh how wrong was I...... So was it a head gasket in the end? Are you using TDI to sort it for you or taking it to Turbofit as suggested? Chin up anyhow mate, I can imagine how your stomach turns when you're reminded of all the problems. Just remember it's only money and once it's all fixed up it'll make you smile from ear to ear on a daily basis.
  24. I wouldn't think you could go from stock to single for £3500. Going BPU will cost you around £800 and then going single another £4k I reckon. Isn't Micahel Lane doing a single for someone one on here for £3000 all in? He's doing it for nothing though, ie not charging for his labour.
  25. Shit the bed, how happy must that guy be? He could still sell that now and make a couple grand profit. As for your car Rory, sounds like you had yourself a bargain there dude. Providing it is a '98, as already said post up a pic and all will be confirmed. Oh and welcome to the club fella.
