  1. Ahh the memories ay? Spent many a night chewing me face off in there! Insomniacs afterwards too!
  2. Cool, thanks. The forum is telling me it was 9.30 where as I thought it was 10.30 back in the UK. (I´m in South America at the mo and asumed I was 6 hours behind) ta
  3. Totally random and Of Topic, but what time is it in the UK right now??
  4. Don´t think this is a repost.... Can´t blame the guy (Import-ance) for doing it but still a shame it didn´t go to a member all the same. I know Todd was disappointed to miss out on this, now some trader will make a tidy profit out of a potentialy new member! Original Sale thread Pistonheads Thread
  5. Greg, as already mentioned the 5th Gen Celica (90 - 94) They still look good imo even after all these years. The MR2 is a nice looking car too but lacks the size you want. You can also pick up the Gen 6 Celica for around 1200 quid. Now they can look nice in black with decent wheels. I´ve owned three of these and they go forever. My ex still drives my old one with 150k plus on the clock. Look here for Gen 6 Toyota reliability too, although maybe I shouldn´t be saying that to you of all people! I know you said 1000 quid budget but for the sake of a couple hundred more I´d take the Gen 6 all day
  6. Possible repost but just saw this black 6 speed Aerotop on Auto Trader 4th one down. Nice looking car but too cheap. Anyone come across it before?
  7. Ok cool, Let us know on the fit Guigsy/Jive.... I was in no rush to buy any of these yet as I´m not back in the Uk until July. Was just weighing up my options for when I come to buy another Supra, regards getting one with or without kit etc
  8. This is a serious piece of car man! I wish I had the money for something like this.... Any ideas John of a price, I know you say offers invited but I´d love to know what this kind a car would cost me. I vaguely remember a car of similar spec (supradibbs maybe?) selling last year circa the 15k mark, can´t remember for sure though.....
  9. Apologies if this has been posted up before but not been reading the board as much as usual. Was just looking for OEM skirts and spats on Ebay and saw this trader who´s selling fibreglass copies. He also does the OEM Spats & TRD splitters too.... He has good feedback albeit for mainly minor items such as bonnet vents and healight eybrows. Noticed somebody bought some OEM skirts recently and left positive feedback. 160 quid for the pair too.... Anyone know what the fitment is like on this stuff?
  10. Conrad

    nice profit!!

This car was a steal at 5k but daylight robbery at 9k. I sincerely hope any potential buyer of this car checks this board first. I´m dreading the new ´Just got my first Supe´ thread in the New Members section - what with the all the history surrounding this car.
  11. Shit man, I remember this first time round. Beautiful car! I don´t like storm blue but this one is stunning. I´m backpacking at the moment in South America but I´ll be buying a Supe when I return to the Uk end of June. If somehow some muppet hasn´t snapped this up by then I´ll be knockin on your door matey with a huge wad of cash!
  12. Just out of interest LP, what is this life changing choice which involves doing nothing at all? I think I remember you being into body building, is it along those lines?
  13. I half agree with Brian but not every single one can be a dog. How much would the cheapest 6 speed TT go for on Auto Trader? 6.5k? Say you pick up a 6 speed for 4 or 5k at the auction and you´re still well under - even at that AT price. So long as you are Ok at spotting (and avoiding) accident damaged cars and are prepared to fork out a little cash for any mechanical faults - then I see no problem buying at an auction like this.
  14. Tony My old man used to be in scrap metal, but he always bought run down houses and did them up and sold them at a profit. I must have lived in 20+ houses growing up. Then about 8 years ago my Dad did his first self-build. We bought an old house with subsidence, knocked it down and rebuilt in the same spot. When my Dad realised how much it cost to do all this compared to how much our new house was worth - a change of career for my Dad followed. My Dad (now with me) have been building houses since. Mainly we sub-contract the bulk of the work out. I can´t comment on the costs of land ´down south´ but as already said land with PP is worth a lot more than land without. So long as you have an architect who knows what he´s doing you can buy land without PP at a considerable discount and apply for PP. You will also need to join something like the NHBC. They inspect the house you build at certain stages similar to that of the Building Inspector from the local council. Once you have finished they guarantee your house for 10 years (structually anyhow) - you will need an NHBC certificate for a mortgage. You can join them for just a ´Solo Build´ I believe if you only intend to do a self build once. You will save a lot of money doing a self build but no doubt it´s a lot of hassle. Find a book called ´The Housebuilders Bible´ or something like that - think that was written for people like you wanting to try a self build.
  15. This is an awesome car, how is this not sold? Perfect Supra colour too. Don´t sell it Soonto! - not yet anyway. I´m backpacking round South America at the moment but back start of June, if you still have it by then I´d be very interested. Doubt you will still have it by then though! Looking forward to the see what it makes at the dyno too....
  16. A mate of mine owns a bar and is a good friend with somebody at the chain of Varsity bars. They were on about doing something similar to the Gumball 3000 (but obviously on a much smaller scale) in the UK. They would incorporate The Varsity/Barracuda chain of bars as check points and have it nationwide. They were thinking of approaching each of the owners clubs and inviting a couple of teams from each. Obviously this is all pie in the sky at the moment but I just wondered what peoples opinions on this would be. Has it been done before? Is it legal? Would people be interested do you think?
  17. I swear I distinctly remember seeing a storm blue UK spec for £6k back in 2002-ish. I can still picture the advert. I know I've heard on here that somebody bought a black low mileage UK 6spd about 4 years ago for £7k. I must be imagining it.
  18. I was just thinking about when I used to day dream about owning a Supra - way back in say 2001/2002. I was too young to afford one back then but I used to drool over them in the Auto Trader every week. Then I remembered how much they used to sell for. Now I'm sure can remember auto UK spec's for £6k and Jspec 6 speeds for £7k. Am I imagining this or did Supra's used to be a lot cheaper? If so what made their value increase over recent years?
  19. "Conrad's a one-stop, gotcha hot, makin' me panties drop" I'm sure that's what she's singing!
  20. Wow - straight up matey that is the nicest Storm blue I've ever seen. Very shiny and the wheels suit it perfect. Good luck with the sale.
  21. I have an external hard drive for my laptop which is 120gb. When I have it plugged in it's atuomatically partitioned equally into two drives: G & H. Is there anyway I can merge the two so it shows as just one drive?
