I must admit I'm one of the numpties that bought my router from PC World and have no encryption/security at all - my network is unsecure. That said, my nearest neighbour is half a mile away. I keep meaning to sort it out but just setting the damn thing up in the first place was an absolute PITA. Anyone know what I need to do? My router is a Linksys. Oh, and is it possible to boost signal of the router? I can only get a signal in rooms fairly close to the computer room.

550 bhp?? Now that really is food for thought. With NA's going so damn cheap lately you could buy one and then go single. This could be a very cost effective way of getting big BHP for very little ££££ With NA's going for as little as £3k - add this conversion with the extras and surely you could get a 500bhp car for £8k-ish? That's a very quick car for half the price you'd expect to pay for a normal Single.

Does anyone know anywhere on the net I can get a free Ordnance Survey map done of a property or street etc? I know you can pay for this but wondered if I can get it for free. Don't mind paying a little if I could have the street/road survey for an entire town/city.

Could you take the diff down to a local scrap yard with a weigh bridge? Or preferably a non-ferrous scrap yard that has an industrial set of scales? I'm sure if you asked nicely they would let you weigh the diff. Not ideal but you'd know the correct weight at least.

I've yet to encounter problems with this fair usuage thingy. I've always been with Wanadoo/Orange and have never been told off - I quite literally download round the clock. My mate on the other hand was basically told to go elsewhere by Tiscali after they got fed up of his excessive usage. Anyone else with Orange and have had a warning? Or am I just lucky?

Woo Hoo!!! Found the bastard, it was a hidden folder called 'Local Settings' Inside that there was a Temp folder with 23GB of shit in it. I'd ordered a 120gb external hard drive too the other day, no real need for it now.

I'm not sure what you mean Edd. I've tried doing a search for the main folder and asked it to include hidden files too but found nothing. I'm missing over 20gb.

My hard drive is completely full so I have to keep deleting stuff when I want to download anything. If I hover my cursor over my main system folder it says the folder contains 60.9GB See pic below: Then when I go into that folder the total of all of the files inside it is only about 39gb! The biggest being the My Documents folder which has 36gb in it. See Pic: Anyone know why this is happening? I've searched everywhere on the laptop to find where all this space has gone and I just cant find it.

Anyone ever been anywhere in South America? I sold my Supe a couple months ago to go and live in Canada for a while and learn to snowboard. I've been messed around loads over my work Visa so have decided to go backpacking in SA instead. Anyone ever done this or been anywhere in South America? What's worth seeing etc. I think I'm gonna go to Argentina first then work my way up. Good steak in Argentina apparently!

Bluray is part of the new HD DVD battle. ie a DVD that is in High Definition. TBH it looks as though Bluray wont last and 'HD DVD' will win - so maybe this doesn't matter all that much.

:d How'd you guess? Nar, that's all in My Documents - only got about 3gb of that. I just did a disk cleanup and it only found 3425kb! My recycle bin is empty and I don't have a partitioned drive either. Where has it all gone? Despite my full drive my laptop still runs pretty quick - never noticed any slowdown.

At the moment my 70gb hardrive is completely full. I'm having to delete something whenever I download. The trouble is that I've only got 35Ggb being used in My Documents, where is the other 35gb allocated? I've looked at all my programs in Contol Panel and they come to 2gb max as I have very little software and no games - I mainly just surf and burn DVD's. So where is the other 30+gb being used? Also as well, I'm supposed to have an 80 GB hardrive on my laptop (an S-ATA HDD??). Yet when I look in My Computer it says I only have 69.7GB. Why is this? Have I been short changed by PC World?
