And you won't. But I'm willing to bet that the ETS comes out best. I do know that a cheaper 5" heat soaks after a couple of back to back pulls, but you get what you pay for, and the ETS is A LOT of money, so just depends on how you want to drive the car I suppose. A purely attending shows/ cars and coffee car would be fine on a cheap chinese one.

For noise, fit a silencer. For drone fit a resonator, I've recently done this and it's made a HUGE difference to cabin drone on the motorway! Emissions I don't care about, but like you say you could fit a second cat on a by pass if you want to pass MOT's

Of course you can, and that's exactly what you want to do when you do go single and aftermarket ECU. Just make sure you get an ECU that still allows you to retain the stock ECU to control just the gearbox That's exactly what I have done, and Dan has done by the sounds of it.

I'm not interested in hi-stall, as drag racing doesn't do it for me, prefer driving it hard, so I use manual mode on my paddle setup a lot of the time when having fun, and also want to keep the second throttle closing on gear changes to help the life of the box Shift points don't both me, as I can use all the revs in manu mode as my rev limit has been raised to 7.5k with the link ecu

This is great info Dan! Thank you! SRD now offer a stage 4.5, I've been chatting to Lee about it, and seems like a really good option in the UK. Good to hear you are still on the stock ecu controlling the gearbox.

When you drive the car hard have you felt the heat coming through the firewall and transmission tunnel?!? It will cook you no matter what the weather! Lol Trust me I know! And seen it with drivers hanging out the windows with no aircon who push their cars. My aircon is on all year round, it’s climate control after all lol

The power it "robs" really is negligible tbh, and if power is what you are going for then giving it full on during hot summer days for any kind of journey, especially holidays as you say, you and your passenger are going to be hanging out of your car mate! I've seen it on the trips I organise! I personally think you're making a real bad choice with removing it. Keep it in and enjoy the car. The up sides far outweigh any downsides.

Pretty sure they are the same intercoolers mate. I was advised by my mapper to go for ETS for my driving style, and I'm really glad I did! The quality of the product is very impressive, and it doesn't heat soak even after back to back to back full on pulls! You spend your money and get what you pay for Have a word with Lee at SRD, he ordered mine from the US.

Honestly mate Syvecs doesnt, not properly, and that's from everyone I spoke to, as that's the route I originally wanted to go. The HTG haven't got anything running great yet! I've been following it closely as I was considering going DCT box.

I'm pretty sure it does yeah, but I'll have to check, as I see your thinking. But when giving it some surely you use manual mode anyway? Like I do, as the rev limit has been raised and I want to use it, plus manual mode changes quicker, but it's easy with my paddle shift of course.

That's what I had observed with other ecu installs controlling the box, and they dont work right, and was also advised the same by SRD. So I have the stock ecu controlling the autobox, and a link G4+ Extreme controlling the engine/single turbo and everything else.

Move which shift points? I can rev all the way to 7.5k and change up gear.

Also the stock ecu partially closing the throttle butterfly on gear changes, on a car with syvecs it is a horrible gear change and drive.
