  1. We could do a poll on willy size? ... I'll get my coat.
  2. Welcome to the club Dave. Like others who have replied, my speedo's in MPH but my odo is in km's.
  3. He services my supe. Good bloke.

    speakers?

It's worth a look though. The mesh grille just pops off (prise it off gently with a bladed screwdriver). Undo the screws that you see, and if you're lucky, the speaker will pop out. If not, it means they've glued the bugger in, and it won't go anywhere without more "persuasion". I've seen a thread somewhere with a photo of a rear speaker out: should give you a good idea of what's involved. I haven't had to touch the fronts yet, but I've heard these are no easier to work with (I think they're built into the door, not just screwed onto it). Someone may be along shortly to correct me....

    speakers?

Are they a pain to get out? Can be. I'm in the process of taking my rears out, and they're glued in. Judging by other posts on the BBS, this is true for a lot of JSpecs.
  6. Celery Liver with some fava beans and a Chianti Real Turkish/Cypriot delight (I like the chocolate-covered stuff you get in this country)
  7. This post is just to pass on my experience to others really. I've been trying to track down an error detected by the engine management system: the red warning triangle appeared (the one in the rev counter), but the orange engine icon light didn't light as well. Once I'd put a bulb into the relevent slot for the orange light, the bulb still didn't light. Turns out that the engine light (at least on my car) doesn't light up at all when the car's immobilised. Since I was fiddling around with the dash whilst doing this, the immobiliser had well and truly timed out, leaving me scratching my head wondering why the orange light wasn't lit (I was considering dodgy solder joints: I've done my homework!), when all the time all I needed to do was turn the immobiliser off. Hey presto, orange light appears on ignition sequence, allowing me to pull off the error code from it. Hope this helps someone.
  8. Dunno about your question, can't help there, but I've just been trying to make sense of your sig!
  9. Do you mean this one? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=32982&highlight=kwik+fit (I searched for the only thing I could remember about it!! There's a lot of "banter" about kwik fit.
  10. tdaxgav (Gavan) is doing this (with a transplanted TT engine I think): have a word with him.
  11. Metro 1.1S (that's [AlanPartridge] "Sport" [/AlanPartridge] to you)
  12. I think the headlight-washing horns are one of the clinchers. Haven't heard anyone fitting them to a J-Spec. Mind you, that wouldn't stop UK owners from removing them.
  13. Gav, [hijack] Have you sold on all the unwanted parts of the scrapped supra (mainly thinking about interior bits 'n' bobs)? I just want a measly ash tray. I don't even smoke, but the one I've got is scratched up, manky and the spring's broken. [/hijack] Steve

    Phobias

Bracken. Yep, you read right, bracken! I don't get it either!
  15. Does anyone treat the inside of that wheel arch lip with anything (after thorough cleaning of course)? Wax? Underbody sealer gloop?
  16. Quality thread gents! I haven't laughed this much in the forum since the "how many cylinders does my car have" thread!
  17. I think I'll start a new business selling cheap airbox lids for supras!
  18. Just curious Jake, Why have you gone back to stock? What sort of kit did you have on previously? I was thinking of fitting a K&N or similar, but having read up about them, decided not to.
  19. Mine's got a broken clip/hinge too! If the non-VVTi is no good to you, could you pass me the details please?
  20. Good pics Neo! I'll keep an eye out for future meets. This weekend was too busy.
