  1. Al, This may be of interest to you (you have to read past the initial banter!) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5452 Mark.
  2. I assume this isn't something that a "layman" wouldn't be able to do easily?
  3. Funny you should ask that, but I swear mine has just started doing this on the o/s rear - might just be me though... I've got the Whiteline 'The Works' kit and its only a year or so old - I'd be interested to know what it is!
  4. Ah didn't realise it would be mixed sessions, I assumed that it would be club sessions, like Trax....
  5. Pah! Lightweights, the lot of ya! Seriously though, just because you go on a track doesn't mean you have to cane the car or push it too much - it is possible to enjoy it without going mad.... (do as I say and not as I do!!)
  6. Ohhhh go on then, put me down for it!
  7. As far as I know that's like a general indicator which could mean a number of things.... Under what conditions does it come on, ie hard acceleration, braking, cornering etc.?
  8. Not sure if it is you know, if its the "engine management" light which is coming on - p00t, you mean a little engine icon, right? I currently have low brake fluid and I get the "!" and the handbrake light coming on when braking...
  9. Yep, a definite improvement - but don't get me wrong, its not massive, just "a bit better" HTH
  10. I replaced all my bulbs with the H*lfords "Laser Blue" jobbies and, although they're obviously nothing like HID, they do give a "cleaner", whiter light and look a lot better than the standard yellow!
  11. I swear by PZero Rosso's, they're good both wet and dry - quite soft though, I usually get 6-8000 miles out of a set of rears, that's including at least one trackday though (where I normally cane the sh*t out of them )
  12. I wonder if anyone can explain something to me... Firstly, my Apexi rev/speed meter has never read above 97mph - I vaguely understand that this is something to do with the way its wired in relation to either the bit which removes the speed restriction or the kmh/mph conversion? Secondly, on occasions, I have noticed that when on the move the rev/speed meter has shown a much too low figure, ie 7mph when I'm doing 40mph or something. Seems to be alright at the moment though, so its obviously an intermittent thing - could this also be related to a dodgy conversion? Any info appreciated! Cheers, Mark.
  13. Sounds like you're in a bit of a pickle to me.... /gets coat
  14. The Supe started p*ssing oil yesterday, at quite a rate - took it to Woodcock Hill (garage near JIC who look after all their cars) and it turned out to be the oil switch (sensor-thingy). They managed to get hold of one and fit it today, £145 parts and labour! Not bad as I turned up there this morning unannounced, would recommend them to anyone. Anyway, the point is (back to subject) that I was without the Supe for the day, so I hired a Rover 400 (new shape) to get around in and it has made me realise how crap the standard J-spec brakes are on the (my) Supra! I couldn't believe how good the Rover was at stopping, it took me a while to get used to the bite on them, nearly smashed my teeth on the steering wheel a couple of times! So....are the J-spec brakes really that sh*t, or is it just that perhaps mine are shagged? I did do a very heavy track day recently, but I had the front pads changed the day before I did it - could it be that I didn't "bed them in properly" before caning them (if you have to do that) or could they just be generally knackered...? Either way, this is all academic really as I can't afford to do anything to the Supe at the moment, this house-buying business is frigging expensive!
  15. Are you sure the noise coming from the radiator? It couldn't be that carbon filter thing could it? See here for what I'm on about: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=94 or here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=615
  16. LMFAO! Classic guys, classic! Made my evening!
  17. As requested by a number of people, I have now dug out the instructions for replacing the LEDs on the instrument panel. I didn't write these instructions but I have done this myself, so if I can help anyone who decides to give it a try then I'm happy to - I'm not Mr. Technical though, so I may be no help at all!! I have basically copied the document exactly and formatted it slightly - the original author's email is at the bottom still. Here they are: LED Replacement Instructions Good luck!
  18. I'd like one but I'm not planning to roll my MKIV!
  19. MR D, if you aren't going to buy a TT, then this may be of interest to you: http://supra.highspeedhostinggroup.net/public_html/vbb/showthread.php?s=&postid=38335#post38335
  20. Nice one, cheers. Now I know I'll get someone else to do it!!
  21. PS Thanks for all your help guys!
  22. NO NO NO NO NO, I think I'll get someone to do it for me actually!!
