  1. I paid about £100 for a set of "Blitz Iridum Spec" plugs a while back, only to find that when I took them out of their indiviual "Blitz" boxes they were just NGK plugs anyway ...a lesson learned there!
  2. I assume you mean me as I posted the picture above.... ....mail on its way!
  3. I got charged £160 for all four of mine, excluding VAT...
  4. I had mine done by Spit n Polish and was impressed with the results, but admittedly mine aren't split rims though.... http://www.spitandpolish.co.uk/ http://www.mpaconsultancy.co.uk/supra/wheelrefurb.gif I've got a higher-res pic if you want a closer look!!
  5. You're better off sticking to fuel injection mate, the engine will run better ...sorry, couldn't resist - excuse the thread hijack!
  6. My last Supra (J-Spec) had UK brakes and Ace alloys. I had to have spacers on to get the wheels to fit and the car just never felt "right", couldn't exactly put my finger on it but it always felt a bit dodgy....
  7. I have the same problem, I'd be interested to know what connection is lose...
  8. No point putting flash alloys on a "family car" Phil....
  9. Smashing! Look forward to it...
  10. Maybe before/during/after the TIC meet....?
  11. I've got a spare set of stock turbos on the way which I'm hopefully going to have made into hybrids (a la Leon). Firstly, I just wondered if anyone else has these and has any good/bad comments or advice. Also, I need to check whether I'm going to need any more mods than I already have in order to take them. My current mod list here: (I will also have 550cc injectors and UK fuel pump very shortly) http://www.mpaconsultancy.co.uk/supra/main.htm TIA, Mark.
  12. What, not even to fit a bigger one?
  13. Did they come about those figures by driving and timing the cars themselves or are they "factory" figures? If so, it could be that they didn't launch quite as well in the heavier car...?
  14. Paul, If you do take my indiglo gauges, then the Apexi boost gauge (that I have) matches them very nicely.... Cheers, Mark.
  15. Thanks - I did wonder whether I would need to sand off the surface due to the funny material which its made of...so I don't need to do that then? Excuse my thickness, but do I just go in to a paint supplier and ask for "pre-paint cleaner" or is there a more specific description? Also, do I need to primer it first and if so what type/colour primer?
  16. My centre-console/dash is damaged in places and I'm thinking of painting it, possibly silver like I have seen on a couple of people's cars. I "tested" this recently with a spare ashtray lid I had in the garage, but I obviously didn't use the right paint/primer for the material its made from as the paint went all funny when it dried! Does anyone know the correct primer/paint/method for doing this...?
  17. I can engage all gears, but 5th is awkward, as is reverse. 2nd is a bit less awkward and the rest are all fine....
  18. Yes but its not so much leverage effort as effort to get the stick into a particular "gate" (if thats the right term!).
  19. Had my B&M short-shift kit fitted yesterday and I'm not convinced that its right. The reason I bought it originally was because I saw one in a Civic (cringe) and loved the feel of the gearchange. Mine certainly has the "clicky" short-shift feel to it, but it just doesn't seem very slick, its an effort to get it into gear at times...is this normal or has it not been fitted/adjusted properly? I just wondered if anyone else has one so I know what to expect as obviously I'm still getting used to it so it feels strange anyway.... TIA, Mark.
  20. I think you're mistaking me for someone who knows what a driveshaft is!
  21. Thanks chaps. I'm off to get my balancing done this afternoon so I'll get them to check the pressure(s) at the same time. Cheers, Mark.
  22. ah right, so it could be as simple as that then? Nothing to do with massive amounts of torque going throught the back wheels then...?
  23. It may be me going mad, never noticed it before but I did a couple of long motorway journeys over the weekend and noticed that when cruising at, say, 70-90mph if I floor the throttle (6th gear) I swear that my car pulls to the left a touch, then if I let off quite quickly it pulls to the right?? Only very, very slightly, but I'm sure it does! My tracking's fine and so are my brakes, so no pull normally - can anyone explain this or am I imagining it?!
