  1. Panic over - I managed to find a blown fuse and replace it - thank god for that, that's about the limit of my technical ability!
  2. If anyone can help me with this then it would be *much* appreciated - at the moment I am unable to set my alarm because it thinks that a door is open. For a while now the "door open" warning light has not worked, but the warning triangle still came on so I knew if a door or the boot was left open. But now, the triangle stays on constantly and I am sure it thinks a door is open as when I set my alarm it beeps to tell me that something is left open, even though everything is definitely shut. Could this be as simple as a blown fuse (please say it is!!)? The interior light does not come on when the doors are opened, is it on the same circuit? Can anyone tell me which fuse(s) to check or give me any other pointers? Cheers, Mark. PS Got my Supe back yesterday having been without it for more than three months and despite the above problem I cannot stop grinning!!
  3. Sounds like you're hitting fuel-cut to me...
  4. My first J-Spec Supra had UK brakes and I had to have spacers fitted so that the wheels would go on. Fitting spacers obviously means longer studs, they did fit longer studs didn't they??? If not then I wouldn't drive it until you've got some!!! Even with the spacers/studs and the balancing done, I was never happy with the overall handling of the car, it never felt "right". As for "shaving a bit off the spokes" of the alloys, well......
  5. When I had my indiglo dials fitted the new dial faces just slipped over the needle and sat on top of the stock dials. The clear plastic clip-on cover just then held the new faces in place once clipped back on. A bit fiddly to line up right but worked fine. These were not the ones from Justin but I believe they are the same.
  6. You could be right there - four of us drove up to Trax and it rained quite a bit on the way there. My mate in his UK spec said he did not have any trouble with his wipers lifting off.
  7. I have recently (after nearly a year!) worked out how to use my Apexi AVC-R and have set up the presets for A) 1.1 and B) 1.2. What boost can I safely run at for day-to-day use? I have an FMIC BTW. TIA
  8. JESUS! What mods have you got if you're doing 1000mph?
  9. No I haven't got "spoilers" on mine - maybe I could get Veilside spoilers! :cheesy: Cheers guys, I'll give Mr. Toyota a ring...
  10. As its coming up to Winter, I thought I'd better get myself some proper windscreen wipers as mine currently don't work over 80mph!!! Does anyone else have this problem? If not, what wipers shall I get? I think the ones that are on there now are standard H*lfords jobs. I saw someone at Boxhill with some nice silver-coloured PIAA ones, I wouldn't mind a set of them....
  11. Ash, just to keep you posted ('scuse the pun!), I have received an email from Whiteline and the total cost including shipping (by courier, around 5 business days) is £780.56. I am probably going to order it on Monday, but I have a bit of a problem in that I am staying in a guest house near East Grinstead at the moment and I can't really have a complete suspension kit delivered there or to my work place! Sorry if its a bit cheeky to ask this, but I wonder whether I could have it delivered to your place? Tell me if this is taking the p*ss, I would understand if so... Cheers, Mark.
  12. Do you also refer to all the little green lights on the heater/ventilation controls? I suppose these are the main ones I mean... Presumably I can't just paint them blue if they are already green? Or can I? What sort of paint would I use? So many questions - sorry!
  13. I have indiglo gauges and a matching indiglo Apexi boost gauge. I know its a bit cheesy but it looks great in the dark! At the risk of sounding a bit M*x P*wer, I just wondered what would be involved in changing the rest of the lights on the dashboard/centre console over to blue as well?
  14. Thanks Rich, very helpful. I sent them an email this morning for a definite price including delivery etc. Ash, I'll let you know when I get the price/place the order!
  15. OK I'm probably going to go for it but I'm just waiting to hear from Richard to find out where he bought his from and how much it cost. If your offer of fitting it still stands then I'll be in touch soon!! How long do you think it will take? Cheers
  16. Ash, how easy will it be to adjust the height? Is it something I could do myself on the driveway or does it take an expert such as yourself? Would I be able to change the ride as well as the height? Also, if the height is adjusted does tracking/toe-in/camber need to be adjusted each time? Sorry for so many questions!!! TIA
  17. Nice one, thanks for that. Ash, shall I have Justin deliver the short-shift to you, then get in touch once you have it to arrange?? RE Whiteline suspension: Does anyone know if there is a reseller in the UK, or am I going to have to order it direct from Australia? Just under £600 quid, not bad for a complete kit is it? Hmmmm, I'm just checking my credit card.....
  18. Smashing, sounds good to me! :cheesy: Do you know where I can get it from and how much it is? Cheers, Mark. PS Did you get my email about the short-shift?
  19. I have posted this question on the "Big List", but thought I'd try here as well... At Trax I noticed that my car seemed to be a lot higher (mainly at the front) than others, so I decided I need to lower it a bit. What are the best springs to get? I understand I won't need to change the shocks as well, I have the Toyota Bilsteins at the moment. Also, is there anything else I need to know about...? TIA, Mark.
  20. Why would you want to switch your cruise control on while going round a corner???
  21. Thanks for the quick answer Sounds like something I wouldn't dare try to do myself!! Any idea of how much a complete system would cost, new or s/h?
  22. I do a lot of motorway driving and would love to have cruise control. What's involved in fitting it and how much would it cost me? Or is it not possible? TIA
