  2. Is Woodcote the last corner before the chicane, after the long back straight with a slight kink in? If so, then I HAVE tried braking there from 130+, hence the number of sideways moments I've had there!! The bit that scares me is (sorry I don't know the names) the right-left bit just before the long right-hander over the back corner (if that makes sense!), as the camber of the track causes some mad weight-shifting, scares the crap out of me every time! I'm sure I push the car beyond my ability, but then you never learn what the limits are if you don't try to reach them!!
  3. No, bone dry! It doesn't take many hard laps of Goodwood for the old J-spec brakes to fade to nothingness, so I end up seriously engine-braking into corners when I don't think I'm going to slow down in time! Like I say, I'm no expert so I end up sideways quite a bit, which is good fun but quite often scary as well! I do love Goodwood though, its a great track for the Supra, really fast.
  4. Hehe I'm no expert racing driver! I'd basically just changed down into too low a gear, causing the car to kick out, at which point I realised the stick was no longer attached to the car!
  5. Whenever I've used Millers I've just put one bottle into a full tank - its easier to work out...
  6. 1) John Branigan mkiv 2) Leon Green mkiv 3) Mark Ayling mkiv Veilside (passenger ) Boo-bloody-hoo
  7. Hehe - good idea Apparently B & M have released a new version of the kit since mine, but the one I had was poorly made - you could see from where it broke that it wasn't welded properly in the first place. I never got used to the feel of the shift, it felt awkward and clunky, plus it was difficult to engage certain gears at times. Although it was easy to fit, the way you adjust it meant that you could never get all the gears right, some were always difficult to engage. The standard shift isn't exactly "long" either, so even if the kit did work it wasn't a massive difference, just stiffer if anything! Hey, but don't let me put you off buying one if you want to....
  8. I had a short-shit (deliberate typo!) kit fitted to mine, which then snapped off whilst sideways at 70 around Goodwood! I've not actually got the original bits back on yet, its still a "quick-fix" welding job which cost me a fiver so I could get a few more laps in that day! Anyway, my point is that because I haven't got the original bits back on yet I don't think the gaiter(s) are right, so I can really hear everything from the gearbox/shift - and it whines and generally makes quite a racket, especially in low gears. Perhaps you can just hear a bit more than normal from your gearbox? ...then again perhaps I'm just spouting bollocks...!
  9. Yep - as I understand it the wiring is there but it doesn't go through the car to the main loom, so (I assume) you would just connect it to the brake lights...?
  10. Yep no probs! When are you back on the road then? You must be gagging to give the Supe a good thrashing!
  11. LOL The heatshield's no use to me, so you can have it mate. I would drop it down to you but I can't drive (did I mention...? ) so you'll have to collect it or I can send it if you pay the postage? By the way, I'm in all day tomorrow as it happens...
  12. No problem mate - its yours for £500....
  13. If you mean a turbo heatshield, then I have one....
  14. Hi, I know that these weren't wired up on all UK Supras - a couple of people I know had to get them wired in themselves...
  15. This is getting out of hand now.... That's decided then - my shirt is going to say "I AM NOT BENT!"
  16. LOL - Now there's an idea.....
  17. Bloody hell, its a very old thread!
  18. yeah true.... Sh!t here we go again......
  19. IS IT????? Shit......you could have told me Martin, would have saved me a WHOLE load of grief....!
  20. What, so you mean those 1000w Alba tweeters you sold me aren't all that after all....?
  21. I've found in the past that its less worrying not understanding things about your car than it is to have people "setting things up" on your car which they don't understand!! If that makes sense....?
  22. Can someone explain to me - what's this business of "upping the fuelling"? Isn't this something you do to stop the car running lean as a result of other mods? Or have I missed something here....??
