  1. Spotted on Friday (21st) at about 2:30 in afternoon with 2 lads in it. I was in the Green Supra J
  2. Are mid 14's possible with the N/A (without NOS etc)? At SupraPod, some of the TT's were only hitting low 14's, which I think is about the quoted 1/4 for a stock car.
  3. Spotted at 5:50 pm at just coming off the roundabout by Sainsbury's at Emerson Green - I was going in opposite direction J
  4. Hi, Looking for the centre piece and gold nut as per the picture. I am missing one, either nicked or come off whilst driving cheers
  5. FWIW, I ran 13.25 at Pod (110 mph) at 1.05 Bar and was RR's at the Surrey day at 322 at the wheels. Don't care what that converts into 'at the fly' as I know the car is quite quick from the SupraPod day, where I as getting better times than some of the cars running 1.2Bar boost
  6. Didn't know you could get these for this price now http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/cars_search.jsp?page=1&searchform=&modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&photo=1&state=block&sort=3&hassearched=Y&make=MASERATI&min_pr=10000&source=0&model=ANY&max_pr=30000&miles=100&agerange=&mileage=&postcode=ba1+2xy&variant=&bodyid=0&trim=&fuelid=0&colour=&transmissionid=0&keywords=&ukcarsearch_full.x=55&ukcarsearch_full.y=8 3rd up from bottom of list
  7. That is bloody funny :D
  8. Sorry, but I'm not sure 'assumption' tests are gonna be particularly accurate. I'm also sure that many people on here think the Thor Dyno overeggs the pudding so to speak (but may be wrong)
  9. Working on the generally accepted notion of 10bhp per PSI boost increase, a full BPU car at 1.2 bar = increase of approx 6.5 psi, which would equate to 320+65 = 385 bhp. Most BPUs don't run 1.2 Bar, more like between 1.0 and 1.1, so as Tricky-Ricky says, average is probaly more like 365. All this is pointless however, as you can't measure flywheel HP, so an accurate RR session (eg Surrey RR) giving the rear wheel HP is a more meaningful comparison, providing you have results before and after any mods on your car, as no two cars are ever the same.
  10. mine move, but they're not heated. Didn't know Supes had heated mirrors
  11. We used to have a works VW Passat tdi (110 bhp I think). I used to drive that as I drive the Supra up and down the Bristol ring road and only averaged 31 mpg over a week - was expecting a bit better than that from a frugal diesel.
  12. LOL. I'm curious as to what the original post said before it was edited, 'cos I'm struggling with the version I've just read
  13. although I'd have thought 276 @ wheels at 1.05 Bar of boost looks low. I was putting out 321 @ wheels at the same boost level on the Surrey day last month (AFR's around 11.2-11.5)
  14. Me too! stuff the revision for exams on the Monday. This could become the biggest regular Supra meet in the country
  15. Spider. Haven't seen neighbour to ask about Ferraris, but he's put a list of what he's got under my door. Not sure if there's much to interest you. Most relevant may be: 2 copies of Motor Racing from Oct & Nov 66 9 copies of Autosport from 1967 5 copies of Autosport from 1998 20 Thruxton & Castle Combe programmes from 1966-1970 J
  16. which valve mate? Could be the Intake Air Control Valve not opening, so no air passing into T2. Be interested to know
  17. Just got home. Really good day First the Tatsu event, then over to Chippenham. Hope the Chippenham meet can become a regular thing, good access from Wilts, Bristol & Reading etc as well as those 5 mins up the road. Cheers Tigger for getting this set up Was quite shocked by the single, Homer, although I'll be sticking with the twins
  18. Super duper IT systems anyone (NHS, DVLA etc) Government spend millions (or even billions) on these and due to their poor specifications, the costs spiral out of control and they are left with a heap of crap. Can't blame the contractors, as it's always the poor requirement specs which screw it up. I work in defence and an example is one of the MOD guys saying "well when we asked you to do that, we meant this" I said "well why didn't you say that then?"
  19. Sorry mate. this was in response to someone asking where we could start a convoy from for those coming from Bristol. I live in Bath and there is another event in Bath the same day, so it seemed to make sense.
  20. I think the classic Imprezza from 2000 had 215 bhp. pretty rapid though as it wouldn't have all the safety crap cars need now so I guess kerb weight would be pretty low. MPG prbably only a bit better than the Supra, especially as you know you would use the 4wd performance on those back roads
  21. Sorry mate, but this is about the 5th thread on NA tuning I've seen in the last week. As stated in all of the others, NA truning is very difficult on a budget, or very expensive.
  22. What about meeting at the Tatsu event in Bath and convoy from there?
  23. Yes and no. Petrol cars do put out CO2, but there are scientists who say CO2 is not the polluter everyone thinks it is. Volcanoes have been blasting shed loads into the air for billions of years. In america Diesel is considered a bigger polluter, so no one drives diesel cars. The CO2 output from the UK is negligible, so the output from cars in the UK is so small, banning all cars in UK would do NOTHING for the world's environment (may help locally though). Personally I think the fact that the BBC (and other news stations) all have 'environmental reporters' now is a heap of crap. They fly all over the world talking about the devestation from cars & plane's, yet they must rack up more miles than anyone else!!
  24. who gives a sh*t if you're dead!!
  25. Aah - logging on when on holiday - that's Supra dedication for you
