  1. Don't think so, but she definately knew a lot about cars. She hates the Fiat Multipla, loves the new Mini (but definately not the Clubman verson - the rear doors a just wrong!) and knew that Turbo'd cars were better for off-road rallying than on the track

    My new seats

Really nice choice Jazz. Will look lovely in your Supe
  3. Just got back from Goodwood Motor Circuit for a track day with the Lancia club:) Good fun, if a little wet and we didn't get as much tiome on the track as I'd have liked as a few people went off so the closed it for a couple of times while they cleared it up. One of the guys I met up with enroute to convoy down (never met him before) asked if I would carry a passenger round with me. Of course I said yes, then it turned out to be his 8 year old daughter!! I was preying I didn't have an off, although he did with her in the car earlier in the day ) I think I hit 120 on the longest stretch, which was a bit scary, then slamming on the brakes down to 60, praying we made it round the corner, and not into the tyre wall. Bloody knackered now though
  4. Got new Falken 452's fitted at Protyre in Bristol - best place in the area IMHO for tyre fitting. Price was £372 for 2 x 235/45/17 and 2 x 255/40/17 inc fitting. And they let me fuss around cleaning brake calipers etc. One of the guys just bought a Skyline GTS modified to about 400 hp (loads of HKS special goodies) so we were chatting about car stuff while they did my tyres - makes it more interesting
  5. Sometimes it comes on if you go round a corner too fast and the brake fluid level sensor thinks its low. May be worth a check and top it up to the max line
  6. Nice one mate. Look forward to seeing this one at Marham
  7. Agree - will be doing that hopefully on Sunday - can't tomorrow as doing a track day in the Integrale at Goodwood:D
  8. Here you go: Front wheels - gold calipers Rear Wheels - black calipers Not sure whether to go black or gold - I've got some red TRD caliper decals too - which would be best? Not too bad. We'll see how well they stand up to stones etc off the road and rain.
  9. Hope you get a decent amount Homer. What's next on the cheap runabout front?
  10. Hot feet not too good! When you think it all be done? It can be a drain on the wallet, luckily I just got a bonus from work, so I can pay for the stuff I've just had done
  11. Very busy by the sound of it mate. What you doing with the interior of yours? Last I saw it it was stripped out
  12. Have finished spraying and adding lacquer, so am getting tyres fitted tomorrow. Hope the paint and lacquer do the job, if not, will be transferring the tyres to my existing wheels, as they are the same size
  13. Thanks for the kind words. I see what a few people mean about the headrest, but I really like the shape (and it's growing more on me too everytime I see them) and its different to other Supra seats. The quality IS stunning and I'm so glad I got the door cards done, as I wasn't sure at first whether they were worth getting done due to the cost, but they really work so well. The interior feels much 'softer' than before and quieter too. There are also little touches, like the silver screws visible through the speaker grills, that catch your eye and add to the whole effect. As Mis Ffi Ffi says - you get what you pay for, and I feel as though I'm driving a new car - it feels that different!! Roll on the TRD wheel:d (then maybe the rears?)
  14. Following on form this thread, Here are dayight pics - still only taken with camera phone as my digital camera is ancient and crap, LOL hope the links to Photobucket come out edit - why aren't the pics showing in the post?
  15. Will start new thread with daylight pics, taken this afternoon. Miss Ffi Ffi - if you hang on and post them there, then they will be on page 1 rather than page 3, so more people will see them. MODS can someone plesase close this thread, as I've started a new one here with better pics http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=144337 cheers
  16. Didn't go green as I wanted the interior more neutral, and to match my new black dash and silver dials. I also have a new TRD steering wheel on its way, so the interior will be almost totally new Thanks for the positive posts guys As said, I will try to get some better pics done tomorrow.
  17. Just looked in your garage - very nice mate I need to get decent pics in the daylight tomorrow to do the work justice, but was so happy to get them back and please I wanted to post tonight
  18. Not appropriate for me to say. Custom job. When Miss Ffi Ffi gets her trader membership sorted again, I'm sure she'll be happy to provide quotes or a standard price (which is from £600 for front seats according to their website http://www.gibsontrimming.com/)
  19. Bugger Greg! sorry to read this mate. Hope something works out
  20. Just returned from Gibsontrimming, where Vinnie and Miss Ffi Ffi have done a wonderful job on retrimming my seats and door cards in Black Nappa leather and charcoal Alcantara. I will also say that they are both very friendly and a pleasure to have done business with. The seats have no wrinkles whatsoever, the leather and alcantara have an unbelievable feel to them and the quality of the stitching etc is amazing. I will try to get some decent pics done tomorrow, but very excited and wanted to post up. Here's a few dodgy phone pics done in the dark!! Bear in mind these are my original Supra seats which have been re-foamed to change the shape and then retrimmed. Banzai magazine (doing a feature on Gibsontrimming) saw them Saturday and I believe thought they looked ace:) J
  21. Oh Well - learnt something new then. Was sure it was to do with the external wastegate, but seems not
  22. Singles have an external wastegate and that is what you can hear chattering on the Singles, not the turbo stalling. As stated, Shane, the noise you can hear is your turbos stalling when the boosted air has nowhere to go when the throttle plate closes. 10,000 rpm to nothing - not good for them!
  23. That's it ! thanks Daman - will pass link on to colleague J
  24. featuring short videos which some guy does reviewing games and game consoles etc. Wickedly funny. I need to find the site for something I'm doing at work cheers
