  1. I think I have one in work in my tool box. Pretty sure it's still in the packet from Mr T. I'll check tomorrow when I go in.
  2. Pukka job! Looks bang on, as said, I think I would have the rest of the dash done as well!
  3. Wow, You lot are rather confusing! Now..... trying to put it in its easiest terms, a NON interference engine can have the pistons at any position in the cycle and have a complete turn of the camshafts and will not come into contact with the piston crowns. An INTERFERENCE engine, should it come out of correct timing (belt slip, snap, whatever!), WILL cause the valves to come into contact with the pistons or the pistons to come into contact with the valves, whatever way you want to look at it. Non interference engines become interference when the camshafts are changed with higher lift cams, I think the reasoning is in the title there and doesn't need explaining?
  4. Hey, Another Stokey here too! Get some pics up!
  5. If it's anything like mine, don't do it! My phone is now awful, it drops wifi, if I read my email it won't zoom out and all the writing is huge. It doesn't look any different to what is was before ICS. (That is on O2 though)
  6. Spotted in the car park for the pub, M442 ***. Had a 2 bar tuning sticker on he black and some black-ish looking wheels.
  7. Oh and thanks for the message Steve!
  8. Cleared some room now bud and sent you a PM! Sorry!
  9. I'd go down that route too, my parents ordered a new sofa, got a date, and gave my sister the old sofa. Then got told the new ones would be delayed months, so my mum went mental down the phone and demanded a replacement until hers got delivered. She got given a complete 3 piece (3, 2 and a single) in white leather and the best thing was, when her proper sofa was delivered she hid the 'loan' sofa in the hall and got them to deliver the new ones through the other door! They never asked for the old one back so my sister got another sofa FOC! (Bitch!) So, they will give you something while you wait. Just kick off and demand it or a refund as you and your family are sat on the floor!
  10. One thing to look for is the initial first 1500 mile service. You'll struggle to sell it again if it's not got it. Alot of people say if it's not been done then there is a much higher chance the engine will fail or have major problems, all those off the 'M' forums wouldn't buy one if it's not got that vital stamp!
  11. As lovely as that is, that's more a posh hotel room or batchelor pad! Not very 'homely'. Wouldn't say no though!
  12. I thought the 'right to buy' thing ended a few years back? Brendan, is your place council or a housing association? I went through the paperwork for our place, we can buy up to 75% of ours BUT they will value it as it is now, not the [insert rude word] hole that it was years ago. So that means we pay 75% mortgage the 25% rent, which seems stupid along with the fact i'd be making them money should I sell for a profit.
  13. UK's don't have auto headlight levelling so that's not a problem. As for the washers, in theory, they don't have HID as standard so shouldn't need testing.
  14. Weird question but do any of you guys/girls have any tech knowledge with Panasonic plasma TV's? I've just bought the GT30 plasma, which I bought to replace a series 6 Samsung LCD (C650, 5 months old!) in our bedroom. I chose the GT30 as it's suppose to have next to zero lag for gaming as well as having the best picture quality of them all! Now, originally, the Samsung was connected via ethernet cable to my home network, so I could watch all my media from my media centre machine downstairs (.mkv (HD 1080, 720 etc and .avi, normal TV shows, non HD movies etc). The Samsung would see everything on my media centre and play them all with no trouble, straight out the box. So, buying the all singing, all dancing GT30 model Panasonic, having .mkv playback etc etc even written on the box dragging it upstairs, mounting it all on the wall, firing it up and then finding it won't play .mkv or even .avi files is rather annoying! It will see the files on the media centre but comes up saying 'file not supported'. The Mrs contacted Panasonic, and they told her the program I use (Tversity) should work but if it doesn't then I need to re-encode all my media to one supported! Problem being, I have over 1TB of media, and this would take weeks! I tried another program they suggested Mezzmo, which I installed, again, wouldn't stream to the TV. It gave me the option to re-encode again but that's just not an option for me. I'm ready to pack the TV up and send it back again but do any of you know how I could either encode my files to a supported format without quality loss or any other way of streaming this DLNA stuff to my TV? Hope this makes sence to someone as it's confusing the hell out of me now! It says it plays mkv through DLNA but it doesn't. How do I encode mkv to something that works?
  15. Sorry I seem to have missed a few of your requests, nothing flagged up on my laptop that anyone had posted. To clear up another grey area, regarding HID's, there is NO problem with them being fitted. Only stipulation is that if they are fitted FROM NEW (O.E part) then they HAVE to have working auto height correctors and headlight washers that work.
  16. That's right mate, new rules, cat has to be fitted. Silly one really. Find a nice friendly MOT station dude.
  17. I got one mate, i'm in Basingstoke if thats's not to far?
  18. Only 5 gears used too? are they a 6 speed? Looked so effortless as well, No wriggling and squirming like the Lambo's seem to do.
  19. Because Marks' is the same diameter as his exhaust pipe!
  20. I'd have to say the D5 is an amazing engine. Like you say, does sound good and goes rather well. The accord, personal opinion, sounds a little more agricultural, very expensive for parts and not the nicest of cars to service. The volvo on the other hand, is far cheaper. Also, go for an auto model. The S60 is a nice place to be. comfy, quiet and plenty of room, have you looked into the S70 or 80, them being slightly roomier. You'll find a better spec'd Volvo for the same price as the Accord. With all the Accord's we've had in, every one has either broken or repaired DVD navigation units and quite a few honda diesels have had alternator problems and they cost a stupid amount.
  21. Got a picture of the exact bit you mean? Think I may have one.
  22. Doesn't the George handle wet, whereas Henry likes to keep dry inside! George FTW!
  23. I just pointed this out to my Mrs, to which she replied "I know, you don't have steak for dinner and you can bugger off at the other part" Bloody married life
  24. Got any pics mate and whats the condition like? When you say it's silver, I thought it was white or black only?
  25. Provisionally sold... As to above questions, couldn't be 100% but pretty sure its low mileage. I can find out if need be if the sale doesn't go through, but there is a second in line by PM first. Will keep you both posted if/when it goes.
