I never had a boost controller on mine, ran fine.

Ignore the '+'s, it's just BPU, and it means full decat (with associated bits).

You've only had it a month, where are these figures coming from? If it was from the advert when you bought it then they were lying. If you want 400BHP, make sure all cats are out (meow), make sure you've got a restrictor ring, and if it's not making over 1bar you can file down the restrictor ring, or get a boost controller. I'm assuming it's a j-spec? Has that been said?

I had mine at 22-23, insurance was only a bit more than my ZR160 I had before it, but that was *cough* 7 years ago now and prices have changed. Just make sure the quote you're getting is for the right vehicle, you'll be amazed at the number of insurers who quote for a MKIII rather than MKIV, or quote for a UK spec rather than import. Also you'll notice most quote more for imports, regardless whether they're NA or TT, and UK-TTs will be cheaper, but then that's not always the case either.

Are you saying you bought a car that has HIDs, and the sidelights and main beam don't work?

How many UK manuals are there nowadays? I think I'll actually be looking for a facelift VVTi Auto in black or a nice grey, maybe white but not sure on it TBH, would like a nice trimmed interior though and a nice ICE setup, stock body and no more than 17s. Preferably with most of the BPU done. Unless a nice aerotop comes up which I might be persuaded with. I can't actually afford it for a year or 2 more though .

That's cos a fist is a large surface area, if you'd put that force into something sharp it would break easily.

Not sure if I want an auto though, and I kind of fancy a VVTi, guess it depends if I'm planning on going single or sticking with BPU though. Could buy this one and keep hold of it, see if it appreciates!

Well I'm not going to be buying shares, asking to be kept up to date or gurning, but I would like to keep an eye on it to see what happens. I was linked to that site from some other fusion related information site I was reading, where it said the 'fusion' is catalysed by a secret ingredient of some kind. I get the impression the 'proper' science community is largely ignoring the claims, based on the secrecy of it all, so I'll go back to waiting patiently for news from ITER .

From my post in the fuel thread, has anyone heard of the E-Cat? http://ecat.com/ All very secretive, if I wasn't so open minded and trusting I'd think he was trying to fleece $1.5M out of unsuspecting organisations, before doing a runner before their 6 months of fuel runs out. Don't know much about transferring heat to electricity apart from using thermocouples, but if a small unit could be put into a plug in EV car it should be able to boost the range massively! It's use in homes for hot water and eventually electricity as well would put those thieving energy companies out of business. Sounds too good to be true? Why so secretive? why no publicity? Isn't cold fusion a bit of a holy grail to physics?
