  1. It's to promote men doing more stuff on valentines day, so they get the 'favor' returned a month later. I took the wife to the opticians on valentines day, so I've got no chance.
  2. Awesome news dude, glad to hear it. Was there no more detailed prognosis than "see how you feel in a couple of months" then? Still no option to operate?
  3. I think it looks horrible, sorry.
  4. We've known since the kitcar incident that they only have one film crew on the track, they film a few laps then move to the next position. The lap time is their fastest but the filming certainly isn't unedited.
  5. I agree it looks cool, and a nice gadget (which is always good), but on a slope or in strong winds you'll have to remember to be there to grab it.
  6. Anyone? It seems to be a win rate of about 70%, so their matched deposit deals are quite good as you think you've won £14 from your £10 deposit, then you deposit more. It's just the jackpot I can't work out the odds on.

  8. Feels a little bit quicker, but the biggest difference is how smooth everything is, boost comes on much earlier and cleaner, even gearchanges appear to be smoother (although that could be in my head ).
  9. They're testing AWACS at the moment cos their using them for the olympics?
  10. You're not allowed to race on track days.
  11. Had the Accord remapped, then washed it.
  12. I don't get it, who's the old man? What do you want to find out from us?
  13. Good luck dude! We're all amazed by your +ve attitude so bound to be better than most!

    House of numbers

Watched 10 mins, got bored. What's it about?
  15. I know loads of people on here like the hydrogen concept, I don't know much about it TBH but I'm definitely on the side of full electric vehicles. As I said; I love the Tesla S, I quite like the look of the new Vauxhall Ampera although they've chickened out and gone for a hybrid (of sorts), Nissan have a leaf, Toyota have the fugly FTBh, and most manufacturers are at least thinking about electric, whether full or hybrid/hydrogen. So what about the range issue, well I've just seen this crazy concept, which uses wireless charging. That then lead me on to this idea, seems obvious really but you can just imagine the fuel companies 'owning' sections of charging road and effectively having charged charging tolls all over the place! Maybe. Or otherwise we could sort out these guys with funding, and have so much energy it'd be dirt cheap. Anyway, what are your plans for the future? I want a house with a garage so I can buy my Tesla.
  16. That's what Top Gear reckoned.
  17. I quite like the Vauxhall EV as well: http://www.vauxhall-ampera.co.uk/index.php/eng/home As a cheap alternative. Think if I go electric I'd have to go fully electric though, the benefits of removing the engine seem quite big - although I assume the Ampera engine will be extremely reliable, not having to do any 'work'. Does it run at the same revs constantly?
  18. Toyotas FTBh concept. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/03/07/minimalist-toyota-ft-bh-concept-geneva-2012/ What a looker

    Car speed

    That's where the manifold is.
  20. Nice story, obviously not real but still sweet.
  21. Alright tetchy M. I got the impression this was becoming a 'define BPU' thread, and I would define it as full decat. What you add to the full decat is up to you, restricting boost is important and the ring is the major point (on j-specs), you've also got colder plugs which are pretty important, uprated fuel pump if required, new intercooler depending on wear, you can add gauges for boost pressure/EGTs/oil etc if you like, the FCD and speed limiter removal are a good idea. All of these things help reduce risk or make it run better in varying amounts, so all are important in their own way, some might say you have to upgrade your brakes for BPU, and then you've got cams and manifolds and injectors and hybrids on top. I can see how it can all become very confusing for n00bs. I've got no idea where I'm going with this point now.
