Anybody? I understand the cable stuff well enough, but we're not cabled in our new area/house. We can't get a good analog TV or DVB-T (Freeview) signal here, so it's going to have to be satellite. I realise I can pick up various premium-ish channels from the foreign satellites such as Astra-whatever and Hotbird, but are these channeles (Cartoon Network, History, others etc.) broadcast in English on these German/Spanish/Italian/Dutch networks? I am thinking along the lines of a Technomate TM9100 Super, a Sky Freesat card for the UK freeview type stuff, and hopefully some Satan keys for the rest from foreign satellites. Is anybody into this stuff? I'd rather not have to get into motorised dishes and I know it's *just* possible to have a two or three LNB setup on a single dish picking up enough good satellites, but I don't know if there's any point. I'm not interested in picking up the football, just English good channels.

I'm sure there's a strong element of us being brainwashed into thinking it's really hard to give up smoking (and perhaps other things), which makes it easier for our will power to falter and for us to think "it's OK, it's meant to be really hard to give up".

I had this awesome idea today. Brake caliper covers!! How cool is that? I saw a shitty Astra coupe, which looked like it was being driven by a drug dealer, and it looked like it had massive AP calipers or something on it, so I thought about brake caliper covers, so you can pretent to have huge 8-pot calipers. Mine looks fine (just like watching a 4:3 tv show on a widescreen TV I guess), but you should have some choice as to whether it's stretched or not. Hmmm. I think with analog D-SUB mine stretches by default, but with DVI it doesn't, and I had to enable it... I think. I really think it'll be a non-issue and you should just go for the nice monitor. If you end up having to do so, a card to replace your GeForce 2MX and give you better performance won't cost more than thirty quid I shouldn't think.

I'll start worrying about that in 10 years when I'll be able to pick one up for under 20 grand.. if I'm lucky!

Your widescreen monitor should be able to stretch a non-widescreen resolution. For example, my card doesn't do D3D at 1680x1050, so I drop to 1024x768 for the heli simulator. Initially this leaves black borders either side of the image, but this Dell Ultrasharp allows me to set the aspect/stretch/zoom, so it stretches it to fill the screen.

ah, well, IMAP is leaving the messages on the server, so it makes sense that each account would show under its own set of folders, and it also means that there isn't more than one PST file. I had wrongly assumed it was POP3.. By changing to POP3 you will be downloading the messages to your computer and deleting them off the server. This is the typical setup for most people, so should be OK, unless you need multiple computers to access the one mailbox or something.

(Tools -> Account Settings btw). It'd be better if it was delivered to the right place to begin with rather than having rules moving it from one PST file to another.

Each of those folders looks like a separate Personal Folders (PST) file. Can you not just select the main Personal Folders as being the default delivery location for each of the additional accounts? It looks as though Outlook 2007 has created a new PST for each account and set that as each account's delivery location. I didn't know it did that but then I haven't been using Outlook 2007 for too long, and I don't use it with POP3 or PST files. See below: http://www.css-networks.com/accounts.jpg
