  1. It's the engine from the 2006 Lexus LS460. I like the car too. I like the MK4-ish rear
  2. I think I've decided. I'm going somewhere in-between. I'm going to go for the Gram Light 57pro in Grey Silver, as pictured below: http://www.listshot.com/57pro.jpg
  3. Well, if the Gram Lights are good enough for you Chris.. Do you know which you have? 57c's which are cheap? Or the 57pro ? Or others? (pics are at http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateH.asp?SubFolderID=2107&SearchYN=N )
  4. About $1300 for the 18" set from MVP. So that's about £750. Delivery would probably be around $400 though, so just under a grand for the set delivered. I know somebody who brings over containers of exotic woods from Pensylvania every few weeks so I might be able to arrange something on the delivery.
  5. So difficult... those silver Challenges do look ok. I quite like the Weds SA-70s, but they only come in either wierd or black colours
  6. Awesome! Excellent work on the photoshops, but.. I don't like either of them Maybe I need a respray before I change my wheels
  7. mmm. That does look really nice, but my car is a gay blue colour... I might have to save for a respray next.
  8. I'm planning on blowing a load of money on some new, lighter wheels. I should hope most of the Volk 18s are noticably lighter than my WM Pacific 19s, so.. Should I REALLY blow loads of money, and get the SF Challenge in Gunmetal, as below: http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Merchant//catalogpics/volkstock/vr_sfc_gm.jpg Or should I get the cheap as chips 'Gram Light' 57c in plain silver, which are half the price of the SF Challenge, as below: http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Merchant/catalog/jdm/u/volk/gl57c-sl.jpg Or something totally different? The Weds Wheels SA-70s look ok, but they're not such a giveaway price as the Gram Lights, so there would have to be some great reason to go for them, and delivery time would probably be shocking. Annoyingly, Volk don't list the weights of their rims on the rays.co.jp site, which is crap considering the Gram Lights are marketed on their light weight. I've heard the Gram Lights aren't so strong, but I'm hoping to avoid kerbs and I could buy a second set for not much more. I'm concerned that the Weds Wheels aren't so well known in the Supra fold, so might not be as ideal a fit/offset as the Volks. What do you think folks?
  9. How TF has it run quarter miles, set records, and existed for 12 years, yet it's covered zero miles? Not that impressed really...
  10. Well, if your wifi was wide open, it'd be quite a good get out clause actually
  11. They do look nice. Offsets are way different to the Volk ones, which are meant to be a good fit for the supra. Those Weds SA70s are +32 front and rear. Is this a good idea?
  12. Yeah I've read that in a few posts that came up in a search, but they're so damn cheap! Like £700 for a set of 18s! Plus probably £200 shipping but even so that's cheap! I'm sure I could get £750 for my Wheel Mania Pacifics with tyres.
  13. yeah it's the 8C Competizione (misspelt I think). Looking at the pictures though, there doesn't seem to be a boot or rear hatch or anything!
  14. I want to sell my 19" Wheel Mania Pacifics, and get the lightest good looking 18s that I can find for reasonable money. Volk Gram Lights have a good reputation don't they? Are they specifically rather lightweight? The price from MVP for 18x8.5" (+40 offset) front & 18x9.5" (+38 offset) rears is pretty friggin good! Provided shipping isn't too much. What offset are the Lexus / TTE rims?
  15. they already decided they won't be doing, ages ago.
  16. Sorry, you don't need tax to insure, duh! but even so, how do you insure with no valid registration?
  17. How do you insure it with no tax or valid registration?
  18. Funily enough I have just been behind one of those in Altrincham. L10 TVR I think it was.
  19. here ya go: http://www.listshot.com/alfa8c.jpg
  20. ..not make this: http://www.dieselstation.com/wallpapers/Alfa-Romeo-8C-Competizione/Alfa-Romeo-8C-Competizione-003.jpg Okay, so it's an Alfa, but I miss the buzzy'ness of my GTV. I'd still consider a V6 GTV as a second car, but I want rear drive, and the closest to that will be the new Spider which is crap because it looks like an MX5, and it's 4WD not RWD. Oh well..
  21. I found his BMW dealership story exciting
  22. I was thinking about RLTC today and was going to ask a question, so here goes. Presumably, if one floors the accelerator with full steering lock on (as I like to do from a standstill on 90 degree turns every now and then), the RLTC won't save you from going sideways because of the amount of intertia in the turn, right? In that situation, you'd only need a moments slip and the car would start its slide wouldn't it? Or not?
