If raising the back, I jack up the rear diff from directly behind and put the planks of wood in front of the front wheels since the handbrake doesn't operate the front brakes.

I drive up onto a couple of planks of wood. that gives me just enough to get the jack under the heavy crossmember in-line with the front wheels. I slide the jack under from behind the front wheel with the arm just about movable into the wheel arch. Then I get under from the front and stick an axle stand or two on that same crossmember.

hmm thanks guys. I wonder if those instructions work for a non-standard radio. Presumably I should try holding the ON button down while turning the ignition. -

QuikFit? I tried loads of tyre places and they said they could only do the tracking (toe in/out). You sure they're doing the whole lot? How much they charging? -

Just parked the car and the aerial motor was carrying on for ages. Had a fiddle and the aerial can be pulled up / down easily like it's either broken at the bottom or slipped or something. Has anybody had this problem before? Any hints for fixing? How do I get to the unit? Trim out in the boot and skinny-arms job or what? cheers

Starts whistling from about 1800 on my UK car. Lighter Jap ceramics would probably start a touch earlier. After decatting I can here it like mad - with the stock exhaust and no cats it was mental driving through parked cars either side, sounded like the Starship Enterprise

They're one and the same thing. DWODCAT comes under the category of 'Careless Driving' on the DVLA site mentioned before. Fair enough though with the advise, but I'd just take the three points. There's a remote chance of getting up to six points as the DVLA suggest "3 - 6" as allowable, but in reality it's bound to be just three, unless he takes the piss.

Anyone know what size flare-nut spanner I need? Going to suppliers now but uncle says they are sometimes given in BSP sizes :frown:
