  1. I honestly haven't been drinking! Dunno what's up with me
  2. ah shit, sorry John that'll be http://www.max-boost.org
  3. I've done all I'm going to do with it for now. My/our (my mums!) drill and bits are shite, and the screw extractor was just spinning in the drill. What's left of these bolts appears to be basically chemically fused in place. I drilled a 4.5mm hole through two of them and have put some of the not-quite-self-tapper type screws in there - you know the ones, those black ones that are used all over the place and have a fixed washer on the head. It'll do for now, and if I think on I'll see how much you'll charge to do it when I come to have my geometry done Chris.
  4. Buy a good ratchet and breaker bar and take the sockets from a cheap set.
  5. I could've sworn you had something on where to fit the MBC
  6. I hate buses. So glad I don't have to use them now. My school was up near Hulme & Moss Side and I had things taken off me a few times. It was more like "have you got 10p?" "20p?" "a pound?" had my clipper card bus-pass thing taken a few times and a nice touch-screen watch which I thought was the dogs danglies.
  7. I've just watched that three times. Superb.
  8. LOL that's great I've only tried the darth vader, austin (not bad) and a couple of others.
  9. I don't think you'd want more than 400bhp through either the W158 5spd box, or the lower-spec'd NA A340E autobox.
  10. pipe 1 and 2 were the same pipe before I cut it
  11. IIRC I basically intercepted the feed to the wastegate actuator or something. With the valve closed, it doesn't let the actuator open the wastegate. JohnA has some stuff relating to it on his site http://www.moreboost.org - I'm not sure where though.
  12. Sorry dude, I'm not very knowledgable on the subject, but I suspect you'd be looking at a genuine 450 - 500bhp.
  13. I think your caps lock key is stuck Main attraction for the RSR, other than the nice sound, is the excellent fit and clearance. The downside with the RSR is that the piping is actually mild steel, not stainless. The muffler/backbox whatever it's called is stainless. I'm sure I heard mention that mild steel is what gives a nicer sound, so perhaps it's not all bad.
  14. Thanks Tony. I hadn't considered drilling and using a tap to redo the threads. I suppose I'd have to be careful that I don't cross against the existing threads I suppose. If it's not raining this weekend I'll have a go then. thanks
  15. The three or four bolts at the front of the car which affix the undertray in place have sheared off. This happened a while ago actually, but I'm starting to get fed up of it scraping on speed bumps. I keep tucking it back in place but it comes out again after a while. I have bought a screw-extractor set, but I'm not sure if they'll do the job. Do you think they will? See here: http://www2.css-networks.com/undertray.jpg Look at that rusty bracket! time to get a new one methinks!
  16. it's the blue thing here: http://www2.css-networks.com/mbc.jpg
  17. Hey I'm glad you're keeping the car piehound. I bought my ball-and-spring MBC from eBay for ~£20. Now boosts happily up to nearly 18psi I'll photo it now, but there was a straight forward writeup, or it came with instructions, I can't remember.
  18. There's a BL 4" for sale in the for sale section here. Supposed to be the absolute dogs danglies. I have an RS*R with no cats and it's loud but acceptable. There can' be a drone when on the motorway, some strange phenomenon maybe to do with pressure, but lifting off briefly and accerating gently back to speed stops it. RS*R on an N/A is too loud IMO. Have first hand experience of one on a 5spd N/A and it was too much. Is your car NA or turbo? Ground clearance is apparently second to none on the RS*R.
  19. Yes, undoubtedly. Yes you could fit whatever size turbo you wanted, but it'd probably cost about the same for the small turbo as it would for the big one, so there's no point.

    PC Help please

Strange. I strongly suspect that it's a mere coincidence regarding the EPC. Sounds like your card or its memory is buggered. Have you got another card to test with?
  21. I knew there was something funky going on..
  22. Strangely, Superchips do list the Supra TT. How bizzare. What do they do then? Fit a bleed valve and charge you £511? They sure as hell can't be reprogramming the ECU. The only way to do that is to fit a daughterboard. http://www.superchips.co.uk/curves/supratt.pdf
  23. ooh nice, a very original-looking UK spec with a manual 'box. Calipers look nice in red. Dildos look ok on a black car too. Nice
  24. Not yet but you can compile mplayer for it and use it as an mp3 player
  25. ah, you guys are sooo yesterday. I'm on 5.420 (or somethign) ok ok, I know 5.21 is the newest for PocketPC.. Get a GO I'm hoping to in-dash mount mine soon. There's some great info at http://www.opentom.org
