And I am the modestly titled Turboblaster. Currently getting whipped by yank brats on Halo 2 - don't they have anything to do except memorise fecking spawn points??
  2. At last a night out - been in with this cough bug since xmas eve Can't wait to get out and begin
  3. Interestingly though they do work by capturing number plates and seeing how long it takes before a match appears further up the road. I believe they have to simply discard the data at the moment under the Data Protection Act, but every so often there is a suggestion that Lord High Emperor Tony can see it is only a short step into co-opting these as another revenue generator.

The PGR2 Soop is a bit of a dog as I recall - The Enzo and TVR pretty much rule in that game don't they? Haven't played it for ages but I could dust it off - could we get enough people for a mass race or has this already been tried?
  5. those would be the police that used to patrol the roads? Yeah - seriously you are right and most of these obscuring things are sooo obvious. A dirty plate on the other hand...
  6. I've never noticed any difference between the SUL's but my TT always felt "flat" on normal unleaded if I was forced to use it.
  7. That is so cool. I've got a friend who has got a flip-up lever affair on his bikes but never seen the LCD trick. Wonder how long they would last in a uk winter?

    Sad Sad Sad

  9. The fast lap was obviously staged to make their point though - does anyone seriously think the Stig couldn't have kept it on boost if he had wanted to ?
  10. I used to use UPS in London a lot - their office was over the road and vans were forever calling there ofr one reason or another . Used to get a brill service as a result
  11. If even Clarkson could keep up with the Lambo you wouldn't want one in your mirrors on the twisties would you?
  12. We actually pay a premium with our US suppliers to avoid the horror which is Fedex. They are still loads better the parcelforce but so is ramming your parcel into a waste compactor:twak:
  13. At last - my hero! I thought it was only my parcels which were crushed/lost/stolen/sold off by a bunch of pikeys. If ever an organisation deserved to die it is them.
  14. I clearly recall the moment I realised a grass verge on a 90 degree bend concealed a ditch which was deeper than my capri was long Went in nose first and after I got a mate with a landrover to pull it out it started and I drove it home! With a strong rope and a handy tree at my house we pulled the front out good as new (almost)
  15. As an old fart myself I found gaining RWD hours in a Capri a lively experience
  16. I've had one "scatter" escape as well. Lucky enough we don't get much laser up here, the local plod preferring to invest in millions of gatso's instead and the mobile traps are usually the radar hairdryers my Valentine gives me at least half a mile warning on I have got a Road Pilot as well though for when I venture through cambridgeshire and oop north towards nottingham where I see more specs and truvello. Not saying the essex plod love to raise cash or anything but I have to through two sets of roadworks each day and in total I have to checkout 24 gatso's - Valentine is on fire by the end and I have to mute the annoying cow in the Road Pilot
  17. Certainly the best for Radar and as for Laser, as has been said if you can pick up a bit of "scatter" you might get lucky. I don't think Valentine will honour the warranty if you import direct though.
  18. That steering wheel isn't facelift and neither is whatever is going on over the passenger side - shouldn't there be an airbag there?
  19. Matt is right and I would add that I would never jump start a car like this, there is too much to fry in the electronics
  20. I can't remember exactly - I think it was about £120 , maybe less.
  21. You could give Supertyres in Maldon a go, they seem to be pretty used to having unusual stuff in there and sorted out my lowered TT for me.
