  1. Not my thing really but there is some impressive drifting of a silver supe on Discovery Channel right now if you are at home or have sky at work
  2. In reality they aren't much more than 3 beardies sitting in a shed and statements like this are the only way they can make anyone remember they even exist. Palin as boss? Isn't he the guy who continually travels everywhere on non-essential journeys??
  3. This goes back way further than BMW though - as long as I can remember they have had squillions of taxpayers cash pumped in to produce a succession of rubbish cars. Don't see why they should be eternally propped up whilst other businesses are allowed to go to the wall. Come to that why should the suppliers get special treatment, nothing to do with Labour marginal seats surely ?
  4. not like iridium visors then
  5. Only if it's wet, or icy, or tramlining, or you are not concentrating 101%, or there are leaves on the road or diesel on the roundabout - the rest of the time they are fine!

    Bt Adsl

You've gotta love 'em. We had a bright spark turn up to one of our offices to put in another ISDN 2 circuit and as soon as he connected it the adsl went down. "nothing to do with me mate" and he cleared off refusing to even look at the adsl fault as it hadn't been allocated to him!!!! Took two days to get it working again and needless to say it was their fault - the two days were mainly used up with pointing out it most likely WAS their fault. Turns out if you put isdn next to adsl in the dp it knocks it out

    Bt Adsl

I agree entirely and I'm not with BT either - it is just annoying that it all comes back to BT kit in the end

    Bt Adsl

They don't give a damn about customer service - anyone would be better. Trouble is you are still using BT kit if you use another supplier and even if your exchange is unbundled it is still plugged into BT kit...
  9. Bunch of vultures the lot of 'em. I love it when one finally gets through the switchboard to me by lying through their teeth as I get to yell "f**k off" and slam the phone down.
  10. DVLA says they aren't legal - or at least they don't know of any which could meet the requirements
  11. http://www.netdoctor.co.uk No hypochondriac should be without it :-)
  12. I thought you got points if your plate was wrong but a fine if you simply didn't have a plate?
  13. Eeek - Not anything to do with Bt Wireless E-Mail are you?
  14. I'm another one of the seemingly few who do actually enjoy IT - but I would being an IT Director Trouble is like most people I value intelligence and experience above qualifications except if looking for first line helpdesk, when I value intelligence and communications skills above exams instead - I am perfectly happy to train those people. I actually used to be an insurance underwriter in the pre-electric age when there were no personal computers and got the chance to swap careers at the same employer although it meant doing my old job and my new job for 3-4 years which was bloody hard work. Been an interesting ride though and I would say that IT still pays above average just not hitting the peaks at the moment.
  15. I don't think you can do it, they are both digital and can't co-exist on the same line. Even putting them on adjacent connectors in the BT kit in a building can knock out the adsl - an effect a BT engineer treated us to and then walked off claiming it was nothing to do with him ADSL always has to go on an analogue voice line so I think what you are being told is correct.
  16. I found out that if I use the main National Rail website to check out a journey from home to peterborough it takes me via London Liverpool Street but if I use the mobile version on my pda I can go directly via ipswich suffolk Those two journeys go in completely opposite directions
  17. %^$^"£$"£$!!! I thought it was a pic of a scrapyard to begin with!
  18. Texaco don't post a RON on their super but their garage is convenient for me on the way to work so I emailed them and they said it is 97 RON. Same as Ultimate etc and it never feels any different to Optimax to me.

No - that was something else!

    Sad Day...

The reason it has been banned has nothing to do with cruelty and everything to do with class envy and hatred of the perceived "toffs" by Labour MP's. If it was about cruelty there would not be an exception made for rats or for flushing the fox to be killed by a falcon etc.

    Sex in a Supra

There's definitlely no climbing over the centre console, it's a get out and walk around the car job - don't think i'll say any more as Rogue bought my car!
  22. Ooops - better unplug them! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4274035.stm
