Morning guys, I'm after some advice regarding wheel fitment- what can I get away with without rolling my arches? I'm not after a super aggressive stance, I just want the wheels to fit more flush with the front and rear wings. I currently have Enkei PF01 9J rear 8J front on 255/35/18 and 225/40/18 respectively, I've lost a note of the offsets (in the ET40-45 range I think) but as you can see they're quite buried in the arches. In particular, if anyone has any form of Volks TE37 and equivalent replicas such as the Rota Grids, Bola B1 or any others I'd really appreciate what works for you, including tyre dimensions. I have the UK spec brakes so I'll be fairly limited in what will fit. Inevitably, if I do need my arches rolling, does it affect any paint work or cause any non-viewable damage?

Does anyone have a 320 km/h speedo for sale for a pre-facelift? Not sure if these were TRD only but any will do, but I understand this might be quite a rare item... Want to keep the km/h speedo on mine but it only goes up to 180 km/h.

I'm pretty sure it's a good idea to the rear main seal and pilot bearing whilst the gearbox is off, apologies I don't have the part numbers to hand. Also interested to see what other parts people swap out (if any).

I'm new to Supra ownership, I would love to see it alive and kicking like the old days when I used to lurk on here (when I dreamed of owning a Supra). I'm in Herts too, so I'm happy to help out if you need an extra hand with anything.

Thanks for your kind words Chris. Looks like it's just characteristic then! I guess it's because I haven't been out in another one so the noise makes me a bit concerned, maybe they all do it! I may change out the transmission mount after I do the input seal just to freshen things up a bit! Just found your car thread, looks lovely too mate. Great choice on the colour

Managed to get some work done this weekend on the Supra. Changed the gearbox and diff oil, and had the exhaust off to have a rummage around for the clunking culprit. In short, I'm still stumped. Engine mounts look good. There's ever such slight play in the prop, the centre bearing looks decent, it's certainly not perished on the rubber around it. Subframe bushings are in decent condition, the only thing that looks suspect is possible the transmission mounting. Could that be enough to cause the prop clunking when changing in low gears? Some pics...

Thanks for your kind words Alex, mr.gill and tayr. I think I'm going to go down the face lift lights route and get a new SMIC for now. Tayr, how did you adjust the idle? Mine seems to idle more smoothly but can go as low as 650rpm sometimes. I'm hopefully getting it on a ramp today so I can have a good look under whilst I'm doing the gearbox and diff fluid.
