I use anybodys air, but I don't trust their guages. Bought a nice one on here in a group buy last year, will look for the details. If you have none standard wheels I would get a spare valve though. First time it happened to me I had to order one and wait four days for it coming. Am just going to order one just now cos I used my spare on Saturday

Guages at all our local stations are crap, I always carry my own guage now. Apart from that I blew the valve out of the rear nearside wheel last saturday about 1 min after doing them, valve had snapped in 2. Sure it is uncommon but second time I have had it. Luckily i had ordered a spare valve last time it happened. Good luck with it anyway mate

If it was 1 min after setting your tyre pressures I would suspect that even more. Did you have your own guage?

I responded to one once (1994) when I had the Cavalier SRi, it won by a long way and cost me £200 and 4 points - Cavvie looked good in the video though but they wouldn't give me a copy

I understand the reasoning of going straight for a Stage 3 for future-proofing but is there any downside to using the Stage 3 if a Stage 1 would suffice?

Nope an aspect ratio of 245/40 on front and 275/40 on back gives different radius

Would think if you had 235/40/17 on front you would need 275/35/17 on rear
