  1. I really want to create a rival website like Ebay's, something that has a modern and user friendly interface, more accessible customer service and more control over listings... AND SET FEES! But I don't have £50,000 to even start such a big site lols
  2. Those SA55-Ms are artwork... I need £1,600
  3. Wow... Sadly it doesn't surprise me though. I've had to interview people in the past, here's a breakdown of some crackers: - One fine fellow turned up 20minutes late, in sweat-pants and a hoodie, arrived with an 'entourage' of fellow synthetic fibered friends. My boss interviewed this one, by interview I mean he made him wait 20minutes in his office then told him to leave. - "Job center told me to come or I lose my benefits" He didn't get the job - One lady turned up in a mini skirt and no underwear. Left quite the imprint on a faux-leather chair. She was short-listed, the seat was binned. - Another arrived for an interview... With his dog and a crumpled up CV, entitled "*****s curriculum vito" It blew my mind, all my life I had it drilled into me that I turn up for every interview in a suit with a fresh CV. In school, university, parents and even older friends.
  4. I avoid selling on eBay now for this reason - Last time I used it was to sell a phone for just over £10, received £15 in various fees as a reward. Big objects you can just advertise as cash on collection so you only pay the initial listing fee.
  5. As above, wire in a resistor if possible. I believe LEDs advertised as 'CANBUS error free' can stop the fast-flashing and any warning lights if you'd prefer to re-buy (Worked for my Focus)
  6. My dad makes a fair few trips to France and he just sets the headlight beam to the lowest setting and hasn't had any issues (electronic headlight adjuster switch). Not sure if your Supra has lecky headlight level adjustment but you could just take it to a garage and get them to lower it for you. This RAC guide covers everything ; http://www.rac.co.uk/driving-abroad/france
  7. Fair point, I've never used EBC myself (because of the bad stories). I've only ever used Ferodo, Mintex and Brembo without any issues. Brembos are a bit too dusty compared to Mintex and Ferodo but all very good as far as I can tell. When the time comes to renew the pads on my supra I'll be going for Ferodo Racing most likely.
  8. More surface area to assist with cooling I guess, but I'm no expert. The next set of disks I buy will be grooved ones so I can see what they're like, I'm expecting them to be noiser & shave the pads down faster but I'd like to give it a try. And agreed, I'd never recommend EBC pads. Too many pictures of them showing the compound becoming 'unglued' from the pad backing.

I will admit I have a tourists knowledge of rugby (I quite literally only watch Wales play). But you're most likely right, some refs seem oblivious to forward passes, blocking and holding onto the ball. Think leniant refs are what we've become used to!
  10. Damn, hopefully he'll do Bender from Futurama... And start his own motoring show, with blackjack and hookers
  11. The UK Supra brakes are fantastic, if I had the money and the choice was some Brembos or a Getrag... Getrag all day If you're concerned that the braking performance is poor (drive another car, my Alfa brakes feels terrible compared). Change the brake fluid, Ferodo or Mintex racing pads, some decent disk brakes such as Red-Dot 6-grooves or EBC Ultimaxs. Disk I don't believe have much of an effect on braking though, grooved ones may dissipate heat faster but the power of the caliper and the pad compound is what makes it
  12. I think Clarkson is a majority share owner of the IP, so wherever Clarkson goes Top Gear will go. It'd probably be a case of if Hammond and May join him and which channel bids the highest if Clarkson doesn't decide to give up on it. I think he's getting just a ******* off with the 'scandals', I wouldn't want a life where I have to watch something I say because mealy-mouthed ****** are looking for sometihng to send to the Daily Mail on me EDIT BY ADMIN TO REMOVE SWEARING - Please refrain from swearing on the forum.

Great match but that ref needed to chill out a bit, stupid penalties for 'not rolling away' I can only imagine it's quite difficult to roll away when there's about 300KG of Welsh/Irish human ontop of you fighting for the ball
  14. We shall see, just need something more supportive. Even the OEM seats in my MX5 had more width on the base (I'm not even fat/big/tall...) and acceptable side support. Got a few others lined up if I don't like the Cobras (Sparco R100s & R333s and cheap Corbeaus). See what happens!
  15. I'll be going with Cobra Daytonas (Black vinyl, sidewinder base with red stitching, hollow grey COBRA logo) this summer from sportseats4u. Haven't tried them but they seem popular and look pretty comfy... Extremely comfy probably compared to OEM supra seats. If I had the know-how I'd glue ina pair of Alfa GT recaros because they're probably the comfiest seat I've been in since my uncles ancient sapphire Cossie'
  16. Got one, 150 miles for £20 lols. But if there's a problem with the Supra causing poor economy I'd want it fixed (fter reading 20-25mpg si the average on here..)
  17. Car: 370BHP BPU-TT VVTI Tiptronic mkiv with 18" alloys. K&N panel filter in OEM airbox and Walbro fuel pump. Having some moderate concern about my Supra, it gotabout 250miles to a full tank of V-Power after being advised it could manage 320miles. Currently its getting around 50-55miles to £20 of BP Ultimate which works out I think 15mpg? I primarily do dual carriageway/motorways miles at the 50-70mph range. The odd footdown moment or two as-well. My first instinct is to run some injector cleaner though it. I've used Wynn's with good results before, any good ones for Supras? or other suggestions to improve economy?
  18. Amen, There are two cars on my housing estate, someone recently bought a spaceship civic in white, nicely modified, but loud obnoxious exhaust. And the ginger hamplant who drives it rags it around everywhere... Badly. I walk my dog in the night where hsi aprents live I think, the temptation to leave a note saying "stop driving like a ****" is overwhelming. Another is a grey Toyota Aygo, covered in those tragic 'meme' and 'funny' stickers like LOW LIFE and PHRESH with calligraphic writing on the windscreen. It looks like a standard exhaust... But drilled or something, sounds hysterically bad... But it's loud so it annoys me. When I enter someones street/cul-de-sac I keep the engine on tickover and turn my music down, out of respect for the neighbours. I get cringingly embaressed when I'm in someone elses car and they leave their music on pretty loud in somsones street. Old before my time? ***EDIT BY ADMIN TO REMOVE INAPPROPIATE LANGUAGE*** Not a word we want on here please.
  19. My non-white friends all enjoy Clarkson and Top Gear, regardles sof any alleged racism. You'd probably find the majority of the 'complainers' of Top Gear are middle-aged to older white people who only watch the show to fault find. I can't think of anyone I know persnally who'd be that bothered by anything to complain about somethng they saw on TV (luckily)
  20. ITV are apparently offering him £10mn to join them. I'm a Clarkson fan but when you try or actually succeed in punching your boss, there tends to be reprecussions for it. Story is he spent a long day filming, and Clarkson 'snapped' when he found out that the producer didn't arrange for there to be any food. I'm quite grumpy when I'm hungry so can see why Clarkson might be 'miffed' if he went for 8hours without food....
  21. This happened a few weeks ago when it was at it's coldest... Very icy/frosty day, think it was about -5*c. I was leaving for work at about 7:30am, tried opening my car door - but of course it was frozen shut. Like the supra my alfa has pillarless doors, however the glass retracts into the door when opening/closing the door so it doesn't hit the doorseal. so when the glass is frozen it's difficult to open the door. I spray the glass and the door seal with de-icer, even along the weatherstrip on the door itself. Left it a while, and trie dopening the door again... No good, i'm yanking the door as hard as i can just to break the ice's seal. I even try the other side which I haven't bothered de-icing but that too is frozen solid. I decide to leave it five minutes and let the de-icer work its way into everything. At thsi point i've relaxed a bit and return to fight my car... Out of habit I push the unlock button on the keyfob, the car beeps and i hear the doors unlock... Feck.
  22. Very impressive cars, massive too. Saw a red one near Cardiff and it dwarfed my Supra / hardtop MX5 in comparison
