  1. I love German stores. There's one called Alfisti who specialize in Alfa/Italian car parts (OEM and AEM). not only are they a good few ££ cheaper than UK prices, their delivery is usually 2-3 days max. Thanks for the protip, will bookmark their page Ich liebe Deutsch Tuning shopthings
  2. ET10... IIRC ET40 makes wheels at are 8-9jish flush with the arches, so ET10 would poke out the arches like crazy
  3. Thanks! No need to wind them down like on Subarus? I'm in the habit of letting the car idle before shutting it off and driving sedately before parking up anyways so not really a concern, just an extra gadget is all
  4. They are good brakes but I do get what you mean, not much feedback from them. I need to get something done for my Alfa brakes too, they feel like they have no bite at all after the Supra! Might get a joblot of braided hoses, new fluid and disks/pads from Red-Dot racing. I'll see if Whifbitz could fit a brake cylinder stopper too, thanks for the protip!
  5. http://www.alloywheelworld.co.uk/wheels/alloy-wheels-by-brand/axe-alloy-wheels/axe-cs-lite-alloy-wheels/axe-cs-lite-9-5x18-alloy-wheels-in-hypersilver.html#.VNNFdmByZoI What do you guys think of these? Semi OEM-look, nice concave to them and seem quite light (will get 8.5j front and 9.5j rear)
  6. They do tidy up the look of the car, annoying at night though because all you can see is headlights behind you. I think they're 90% tints, something like 50-60% would be ideal I think! Yeah that's the one, it's been looked after as you can imagine! what does a brake cylinder stopper do? Will do, I'll post up anything in here. Need to save up a few hundred ££ before I can think about new wheels first. They are impressive though, 10j rears...
  7. Thought I'd post up a thread to document progress and developments with my newly acquired Supra from Forester200. I've had a few ideas since driving Supras on Gran Turismo 2 many years ago and from looking at other members cars. Big thanks to Forester200 too for his hospitality and of course selling me his Supra! Current spec: - 2000 facelift Toyota Supra RZ VVTi Tiptronic Auto TT - Cusco carbon Strut brace - Whifbitz lowering springs - Whifbitz intercooler pipes - Whifbitz Decatted exhaust system - Walbro fuel pump - Lexus GS300 18x8j and 18x10j alloys - K&N oil & panel filter - UK big brakes #### New Plans Interior: - Cobra Daytona front seats in black leather, red stitching and 3d mesh inserts - Rear seat delete - Leather console with two extra speakers, carpeted either side but flush to the rear door cards. Think of a more Supra-lined/shaped GTR rear seat deal - Additional to the rear conversion; a single DIN cup holder insert and 12v/USB output or chargers, another hidden 12v for mydashcam - Topgaiters Doorcards/handles (Black w/ red stitches) - Topgaiters armrest cover (black w/ red stitches) - Repair hole in gear surround after deleting alarm keyfob thing Exterior: - Treat and seal the underside, looking into alternatives to show off the clean floorpan though. Bilt Hamber are bound to have something - Active front spoiler - Top Secret rear diffuser - AXE CS Lite alloy wheels or maybe a set of forged ones from Whifbitz - Fiddle with the front indicators so they match the headlights - LED or HID bulb conversion for headlights Performance: - Whifbitz throttle conversion for cruise control and throttle blipping (I love it, don't ask) & improving the throttle - SMIC - New turbo piping, not a fan of the alloy - Red-Dot 6 groove front brake disks Old Plans: - Red leather seats (rear seats, front oem seats with heated retrofit) retrim by Jack Smith, Swansea - Celica Gen7 steering wheel retrim in black leather, red stitching by Jack Smith, Swansea - Topgaiters full leather doorcard covers (Black with red stitching) - Topgaiters armrest (Black with red stitching) - TDR Tiptronic Gearknob (alloy top with black leather and red stitching - notice a theme here?) - LED conversion for dashboard (Red LEDs, then white LED's for 'on' status lights - white LED on OEM dials with red needles) - 18" Concave alloys, haven't decided yet. Looking for a nice 7 spoke wheel - Active aero spoiler - Snoop's AMG flappy-paddle conversion for Celica/MR2 steering wheel #### New Plans Interior: - Cobra Daytona front seats in black leather, red stitching and 3d mesh inserts - Rear seat delete - Leather console with two extra speakers, carpeted either side but flush to the rear door cards. This isn't really a project car, mainly a bit of fun and something to spend spare money on. My daily driver is a 2006 Alfa Romeo GT diesel.
  8. Inspired me to do a paddle shift change to mine! Thanks for the detailed write up, should be easy when I get all the bits.
  9. I like their cars (LW and RB), but Supras are quite soft design wise so sharp edges and lines like you'd get from LW or RB don't suit it IMO. Cars like an Aventador, Ferrari F12 though... They make them look incredible
  10. Under tray looks fine. Not sure as I only got the car on Saturday, I'll check the clips and hoses tonight. If I can't find anything I'll take it to a garage and have it leak tested. It's probably nothing but better safe than sorry!
  11. It has a K&N panel air filter, no induction/cone kit. Could that be it?
  12. Having a small problem with my shiny new supra, under gentle acceleration (e.g. pulling out of a junction and going up to 50mph, on boost) there's a howling noise coming from the engine, mid-gear before changing up. Best way to describe it is like wind against a window sill - will get a vid when possible. It sounds like pair passing through/against something so think it's intake related. Where's the best place to start looking? It's had metal intake pipes fitted so dunno if it's just a passive/normal sound or there's a loose jubilee clip somewhere. Car doesn't seem to be affected by it, just a noise. I've had a look around the forum & on Google but there's nothing similar from how it sounds. Any advice/ideas? EDIT: 2000 mkiv Supra J-Spec TT VVTI tiptronic auto - serviced and cambelt changed recently
  13. Chuffed to bits, it's simply stunning to look at and drive. Big thanks to Sean for looking after it so well too!
  14. Welp, I'm now a Supra owner!
  15. Seems like an optional extra on the fiesta, only £100-£200, might be worth taking it to a Ford stealership and getting a quote to have one retrofitted. Appears to be a common request
  16. There should be a keyhole on either the passenger or driver side of the dashboard that gets concealed when the door is closed with a red circle showing the function. That's where it was on my 1999 Ford Focus so would assume the 04 fiesta has something similar
  17. Ah I see, strange though original one I posted about didn't have the wood trim, or was that an extra on the GZ? Not to worry, just small bonuses that I looked for, active spoiler just looks pretty cool with the OEM skirts so that'll be one of the first mods I think
  18. Aye I get you, luckily any part that gets replaced should last another good 10-20 years knowing Toyota. Skylines are fantastic, but I can't see myself owning them, too technical, too high maintenance. An R33 would be brilliant but expensive and as you said, anything below £10k is probably held together by hopes and dreams. I was surprised too, watching youtube videos I was expecting them to be loud and lairy all the time, drove my first one last week (Needed a fair bit of work to get 'right' at a fairly optimistic price. One for the maybe pile) it had a Nur Spec exhaust and you could only really hear it under acceleration or at high revs. quiet and smooth at town speeds and mute at idle. Perfect car?
  19. Why I'm going down the Supra route, fun car without fuss! I'm weird with cars though... My Mazda Mx5 broke down three times, needed constant attention. My current Alfa Romeo GT (keeping as a daily driver) has been an absolute joy, only needed wishbones, ARB and droplinks in three-four years (common failure point). So hopefully this Supra will change my experience of jap cars...
  20. That's the one! I was hoping to get one with cruise control, active spoiler and leather seats etc but it looks like a decent price for a well specced car. Hopefully the undersides are the right colour and no smoke from the turbos! More comfort in buying privately as the owners tend to know the history of the car, which is more valuable to me than a warranty Nice one, thanks!
  21. I fixed my car once... It was cold and my knuckles bled. Message sent to owner and it appears to be available, Whifbitz got back to me first so will call the owner out of office hours. Also, how o I pay the £10 membership fee? I've had a look around but can't see a shiny button that says "join us"
  22. Just been onto Whifbitz... I wanted a grey one. Watch this space
  23. Apologies, it's an RZ. one owner since being imported in 1997. Would it also be advisable to get it compression tested to make sure the engine's ok and change the oil, oil filter and fuel filter when I receive it to minimise things like bad fuel or old oil? (The dealer's workshop would replace them, but I'd want to replace it again anyway just in-case - I know that the parts used are good then too)
