  1. Do you still have the drivers side rear window surround if so I'll take it and do you have the rubber handbrake surround
  2. I started with a rolling shell too, its a good feeling the first time you drive it. Keep the updates coming
  3. I've still got the stock 16s on my silver sup but it is completely stock body where as if I put them on my black one which just has the oem body kit they just don't look right, another good point to keeping the original wheels is that if you get a puncture out on the road somewhere you can just throw the space saver on without worrying about having 2 different sized wheels on the same axel which cant do the diff any good. A mate of mine found this out the hard way with a wee kangoo van with 17" alloys he got a flat on the front (FWD) and just stuck the stock 14" spare on and buggered up the gearbox!
  4. It's amazing how much Supra engines are going for these days but if you look on eBay people are asking prices like £600 for the 2JZ-GE from the GS300 and IS300 so considering this engine is wanting for nothing and has had loads of cosmetic work done £1000 is not really all that far off the mark. For example if you were to buy one of the ones off eBay for like £600 you'd still need to get a cambelt change before using it that would be a good few quid alone. Just my opinion though guys... I think the days of picking one up for £150 nowadays are long gone with so many people going down the NA-T route causing more people to be looking for NA engines for a spare etc. The average person is being priced out of the GTE swap with the prices of the GTE just getting so high.
  5. If I was you I'd sell up and buy a bpu auto then if you don't like it do a gearbox swap at least you'll have a tt mkiv You never know a lot of us prefer the auto
  6. Shame for whoever owns the red car
  7. Just paid the deposit on mine for the reception about 2 weeks ago I hope my day goes as well as yours mate congratulations

    Hi all

Hi welcome to the club, one of the best colors too
  11. It's a jzx90, the chaser and cresta are very similar cars 1j goodness
  12. Wrong forum I know but some of you are into the 1uz. I'm getting pretty desperate if anyone has one lying around give me a shout all I need is the engine ecu Thanks Scott
  13. I've sent some emails and I'm going to phone around tomorrow and see who has one for sale. There's none on eBay so I'll try the soarer breakers on eBay I'd much rather just get a replacement unit
  14. I have a problem where only 4 out of 8 injectors are pulsing could I simply wire them to pulse in 2 groups of 4 instead of 4 groups of 2 this is for a 1uz in a mkiv. The all have switched power from mrel but only 3456 have ground from ecu to make them pulse from what I've read the capacitors go bad in the ecu causing this if this fix won't work I'm going to have to source another ecu or get mine fixed also does anybody know someone who can repair ecus I feel like every Sunday night I'm asking more questions after weekends of diagnosis now lol
  15. Craig I'm having the exact same problem trying to diagnose a misfire on a 1UZ if you get it sorted let me know what it was How's your car coming along asides the misfire mine seems to be taking forever
  16. It sounds like somebody has dubbed the video with hoover noises everytime he accelerates that thing just sounds odd
  17. another thing it has been doing is while its turning over it misfires but once it starts it runs fine but with the misfire in the video it sounds like its misfiring through the intake if that makes sence
  18. Well some more progress completed now but she's still misfiring I've uploaded another short video so you can all hear what it sounds like, I'm really looking for any ideas of what to check now guys as Im about out of ideas I've checked all the HT leads with an ohm meter and they seem to be ok the only one that was below the spec I got from someone on the soarer forum was the one coming from the coil to distributor on the right hand bank. I set the ohm meter to 20k scale and was looking for a reading of between 5 and 15 does this sound right to you guys this lead only gave a reading of 3.
  19. Awesome looking car with some serious power too
  20. I'd say idle control valve too, I saw a similar problem once and that was what it turned out to be
