Excuse me while I go and eat my hat…Mazepin’s gone

He can just obtain his super license from a different country to get around the British ban I believe. As long as his Dad is at least funding the team (which I believe he still is. They've just ditched the advertisement), he won't be going anywhere. Good to see that F1 actually went ahead and terminated the Sochi GP contract in the end. Initially it was just subject to the state of affairs when the race date came around but it's now off the table.
  3. Don't really think the market is busy enough to notice yet. We're still struggling through a downtrend and overall, there isn't a stessful amount of volume to test the effects. I can imagine Russia utilising blockchain to circumvent a lot of the sanctions anyway, so they'll need as many networks and miners online as possible.

Quite enjoying the visual differences in all the cars, gives a few hints that some of the designs are drastically different! The Williams is looking pretty unique for example. They must've moved all sorts of components around to make it that skinny/bare looking at the back. Just hoping we don't have a 2009 style season where someone shows up with an OP car and nukes the field
  5. Same applies to the boot rubbers from memory. I've yet to change mine due to laziness but know a lot of people have and noticed a night and day difference
  6. Maybe something that needs looked? Doesn't appear as though you can
  7. New accounts can't PM, hopefully a mod will see the thread
  8. You can resize an image in Paint if it's just a straightforward resize you're after?
  9. The 'job offer abroad' one has already got scam/red flag written all over it. Just be careful who you're dealing with and obviously don't relinquish anything without confirmed transfer of funds Lovely looking car that seems to have been well cared for. I remember your posts when you were looking for the car in the first place and waited for the right example to come along. So it seems like the asking price is very reasonable in todays market. Good luck with the sale
  10. I’m not seeing any major signs of a reversal just yet, but the bottom does seem to be close to where we’ve been as low as recently, based on some indicators. I think we need to see a big dump for a short squeeze before the reversal begins, sometime in the next few months. I’m leaning to Q2 before it happens but it could easily happen before that. I’d set a buy order at 33k and just leave it. If it fills, happy days and if it doesn’t then don’t stress
  11. Proven right in what respect? I can't read the article as it's behind a pay wall unfortunately but going off the title, it's not hugely surprising to me given that the vast majority of the elderly are jabbed. I might be one of the head in the sand lot, but the majority of the arguements and articles I get sent are either not backed with evidence, carry grossly mis-leading headlines that people run with or is just straight up nonsense. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but until then I'd stand by masks being a necessary evil (at least until now), vaccines working/being effective and overall the world being in a better place than if we'd just carried on and ignored the disease altogether. The fallout from it all with lack of care and support for patients with any other illness is obviously a huge issue that needs addressing. And to think this is the state we're in with efforts made to help/reduce strain on the NHS
  12. I would just argue that there is evidence to suggest that his baseless statement isn't as true as he makes it out to be. Even with opening the door slightly to say that there are extremely rare cases. If you were to contract a virus from an asymptomatic person and in turn, be asymptomatic yourself then you'd be absolutely none the wiser and happy to carry on with your day. That's the difficult part to manage From the same study again: "For the summer arm, the winter arm, and the entire study, respectively, 25.9%, 32.8%, and 29.6% of individuals testing positive reported no symptoms at all (symptom score of zero). These numbers indicate that though there may be a spectrum of symptom severity, a substantial number of infected individuals are completely asymptomatic". I see the Robert Malone episode has been met with all sorts of backlash by medical professionals for basically being full of misinformation and BS. Haven't listened into the Abramson one yet but I'll get to it soon as it seems to be pretty honest and true on the face of it all.
  13. Yeah sorry that was my bad, more of an generalisation that wasn't relevant like you've said
  14. The referenced paper covers respiratory infections: Adenovirus, coronavirus (CoV), human metapneumovirus (hMPV), human rhinovirus (HRV), influenza virus, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and parainfluenza virus (PIV) General Summary (TLDR): "Though having symptoms is predictive of virus positivity, there are high levels of asymptomatic respiratory virus shedding among the members of an ambulatory population in New York City."
  15. Hopefully I understood that video correctly, is he saying that asymptomatic spreading isn't possible? Pretty sure HIV, Hep B and C to name a few viruses can all be transmitted asymptomatically. Here's a pretty comprehensive paper/study to argue that statement: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6041500/
  16. Hopefully in a similar manner as they already have tighter restrictions than England in place. So would make sense I think to just follow suit, even with their slightly tighter measures than England
  17. Give it a year and we'll learn that someone high up the Gov. ranking tested positive on the 16th or 17th and wasn't happy with missing Christmas Day It's taken 17 pages for Godwin's Law to play out here. I know there are opposing views in this thread but if I'm being told to toe the line then surely it goes both ways? Sounds like we'll be getting a lockdown immediately after Christmas at this rate. If we do, I'll be interested to see how it plays out as I can see the majority of people telling BoJo to go and politely do one while they crack on with New Year celebrations. Can't see it being policed well, if at all either. Especially given how lax the enforcement of masks in public places has been going lately. The gov. have majorly shot themselves in the foot recently. Or at least that's how it appears from MSM...even the BBC! Can you see any reasoning behind this? Or just an opportunity to try and claw back some fans with a story?
  18. Esso also have 99 as well now But yeah, stick to premium, especially if you've got a JDM car

Max will be running #1 next year, they've already declared that. Not sure it bothers Merc too much as Hamilton has always run #44 anyway. Rumours of Lewis retiring now as well as he has stated in the past he wants to start a family etc. I can't see him leaving now though, maybe if he'd won it but this fits his narrative to well to come back stronger

If I was Lewis or Toto I wouldn't be there either, screw that. The FIA hung them out to dry at the weekend and them asked them to be a good sport and come along to their awards ceremony...nope. They've withdrawn their protest which shows them as being the opposite of petulant really. Can't wait to see Christian Horner wind them up about it all next season though.

Don't think the end result could've been any worse to be honest (not Max winning, the way in which it finished). Even crash tactics would've been a better ending than the governing body making a complete fool of itself on what is definitely the most watched F1 race in history. Happy for Max and Red Bull as they never really did anything wrong, so can't fault them at all. They just appear to have had the title served to them on a plate. The outcome is never going to be changed at this stage now. Mercedes chasing and protesting may at least lead to a shakeup in the FIA and bring some fundamental changes to the way things will be run next year. I had to laugh at the Red Bull reasoning during discussions over the second issue Merc raised. Mercedes seemed to show up with a full lawsuit posse and Red Bull just sent in their own engineering team. https://preview.redd.it/fubast95u5581.jpg?width=2481&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6827bd6805404fa97909664394b9004b4122662 Red Bull argued that: 1. "Any" does not mean "All". Any literally means all in this case when it is followed with the instruction "shall", how did they get away with running with that one
  22. My turn to apologise then in that case. I won't make any excuses and dig any further into a pointless debate over it all. So Big Supes, sorry. We all have differing views and they are unlikely to change drastically at this stage. Overall I'm not sure why you're asking me all these questions but I can string along to a certain extent I guess. Again, I'm not some sort of super-pro-vaccinate the world person. I have absolute disagreements with a lot of the methods used to essentially force the vaccine on people. All I was stating was that by definition, regardless of it being changed, it has been shown to have at least some effect and again, that's great. With regards to your statistics on COVID rates around the world, surely there are all sorts of socio-economic and political inputs to consider here? Vermont is a Democratic state through and through, one of Biden's biggest supporters and one of Trumps biggest enemies by and large. So it makes perfect sense for them to both take up the vaccine and take tests whenever they experience symptoms as per Democratic gov instruction. So their statistics are likely to be higher than a lot of other states that oppose everything the goverment suggests, which includes reporting symptoms or taking tests. Especially the die hard Republican states that still hang off every word Trump had to say about it. Same with the 3rd world countries, I wouldn't be surprised if it was being largely ignored and transmission rates are a hell of a lot higher. I really don't think you can compare any of these values as they are so largely differing with their input levels from the general public. Singapore, Gibraltar etc. all seem to be very abiding as well with regards to their governments wishes. On the testosterone point, it doesn't appear as though we have any real natural immunity to COVID, so what's the issue there? Phew, still a few more paragraphs to go so I'll keep it short as it seems as though there's been a few posts already on the subject. Again, I agree and question some of the motives. From my professional background, conservatism and safety factors are heavily relied on. This feels a bit like that gone mad, with other governments then overlapping that approach again to 1-up one another. "We'll do this just to be on the safe side" "Ah well they've went and introduced these measures, so we'll do the same and then add a few of our own to be safe and present ourselves better" Repeat multiple times

Yeah, that's what I mean and I agree with you. Had the title been close at Silverstone, Lewis probably would've backed out as he surely knew what was coming. But he was 30-odd points behind at that stage, so was happy to roll the dice and let Max decide their fate.
  24. I'm struggling to see any irony in my first paragraph if you'd like to enlighten me please? I'm hearing a lot of the things your saying, I'm just not seeing a lot of evidence to back it up and until i do, it's hot air to me Pardon me, I'll use a synonym to make zero difference to my point and keep things going then..."revised". I also can't see anything to suggest the definiton of 'pandemic' and 'herd immunity' has been changed in at least a decade. Would you therefore be saying that this whole things goes back as far as 2009? As I've mentioned above, I think I have certain issues with the vaccine and it's requirements at a certain point in every day life. But I also have fundamental issues with those who oppose literally every measure that's been put in place to at least try and minimise the horrific levels of death that this virus has brought to the world. Even down to the common courtesy of wearing a mask. But hey, maybe I'm biased as an individual who has had to comfort his partner on a very regular basis after they've come home on the brink of a mental breadown due to patients literally dying in their arms...but that's just me.
  25. I mean if providing evidence as to where I get my information from after requesting it and not recieving is seen as 'sheeple' then call me Shaun and turn me into a coat in the spring. If you'd come on here and said the sky was red and water was dry, I'd ask for your source of information as well. I fully understand that the definition has fundamentally changed with the re-wording. My point is that it needed doing regardless of COVID and any vaccines that has come as a result of it. We have all sorts of vaccines that are either 'one and done' or carry a booster after a year that grant immunity to some diseases and that's great, but again flu jabs don't grant immunity...so the definition has never strictly been correct. I don't think I've made my stance clear yet so I'll add it in now just in case anyone's making assumptions. I'm close to the fence but standing on the side of free choice with regards to vaccinations. I am open minded enough to see the arguements from both camps but ultimately draw the line at free choice and disagree with mandatory jabs. Final point, not sure where this is going but here goes. One of my friends is a bodybuilding/physique coach so my understanding comes from him basically. Artifical testosterone injections will stop your body producing it by itself, meaning that it will be in a severe deficit once the artifical injections stop. I'd guess this will stunt growth/muscle recovery, introduce infertilitly and probably a smattering of other things. This is after prolonged abuse however, so I don't know if there are any other effects? Happy and open minded enough to be educated on the subject if it bears relevance
