  1. Will probably get a custom 4" mid pipe made up and weld it into that. Probably put up with the heat better than materials supplied with a TB. I'll most probably need it having looks at the 4" twin system noise levels.
  2. I've heard this over the phone........ It sounds mental...
  3. Mines NA-T so I need to consider the best mechanically strong option. Or look into upgrading the valve. I was considering gettin a 3" valve and uprating the butterfly mechanical components. - - - Updated - - - Thanks nic!
  4. So running this on a system, would the flow not be reduced too much when fully closed michel? - - - Updated - - - Nic, I can't find anywhere online where I can purchase this item?
  5. That looks awesome mate. It looks like a switch though, would that be adjusable to reduce noise rather than to completely shut the valve?
  6. I can't find a 4" exhaust control valve. apexi make 3" ones, I currently have 3" down and mid pipe but upgrading to 4" so have to assume the mid and down pipe will be next to go. a friend suggested using a 4" throtte body. is this idea a stupid one, as i can't find any solutions im considering anything at the moment. i would probably have to cut the 4" mid pipe to install it.
  7. Had lots of interest with these through PM, thought I'd give the page a bump to remind people I also supply the full range of interior rings. Still wanting to find a supplier for auto shifter rings and on the case for headlight rings as well
  8. dave lol are you really knocking NA parts?
  9. I actually removed my head gaskett and just used this stuff. Raised compresssion = more power.
  10. Risk it for a bisuit. You da man!
  11. how u driven it without mappage?
  12. Bet the pot of keys was looking pretty full!
  13. looking good. i assume tuning tomorrow? what time? il call you again mate?
  14. Yet again... I venture further into this topic. I'm going through some on-site training at work and we are cover hardening processes. Anyone else use hardening processes at their workplace? It would be great to see the benifit over forking out for forged pistons. Processes only affecting the outer layer (e.g 10-50 microns) would be best, so you keep the same material specification. Some processes can make the material completely different and brittle, these I'm not covering. Some case hardening processes have been found to include the same ductile properties yet increase the outer case surface hardness at ambient and temperature. Anyone else ever considered doing this?
  15. When mines back on the road we use your speedo if you follow me to see how fast my little NA goes
  16. second photo looks like its been photoshopped
  17. I think power delivery and car control is much more important than how much power. poor power delivery with low power would cause more problems than a decent LSD with a big single. I have no LSD and dont have a huge amount of power compared to some and have had issues.

Ah bad times. I only had a new aux belt in may! And not done many miles. PITA! Though it's pretty cheap anyway. Bloody car... she better hit 400 when I get it tuned again or I'm gonna be miffed! Is this to see if the bearing moves inside the pulley then?
