  1. crawling speed. idle seemed fine. It only occured when the revs got to around 2000
  2. I want to say no....something about the graphic on the side.....doesnt seem to be the right green, but may just be the light. Plus the steering wheel looks different i think iirc
  3. Straight after the MOT today, (passed with flying colours ) hit the M4 where there was a massive traffic jam. After a while, the supra started to cough and splutter when i pressed the accelarator. She did this the whole time i was stuck in the jam, but once i got clear of it, the problem seemed to clear up. It was seeming to happen when the first turbo started to spool, so obviously once i was up to speed on the motorway, the first turbo was pretty much constantly spooled, so not sure if the problem sorted itself. A while back i had a turbo vacuum pipe come loose, and this felt a bit like that, but ive check the vacuum pipes and cant see anything wrong. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers Jon
  4. If i had the spare cash dude, id snap that up in a second! Unfortunately, im still saving for a getrag so full bpu is my target for now
  5. Good question! Personally I always go for wider wheels on the rear and thinner on the front, as im sure this aids with handling. I'm almost sure having wide fronts will reduce the steering response. Not 100% but sure someone will be along to correct me soon
  6. a huge wealth of knowledge here mate. You've definitely come to the right place

    NA cam cover

If the two bolt holes at the front are snapped, i would guess hes on about the cam belt cover
  8. 2 minutes in and i could take her stupidity no more. Hilarious though

    hi everyone

Not the case dude......we all love a good build thread. Plus, with a build thread, it gives the opportunity for people to give their opinions, which often leads to you doing things in a different/better way, after receiving tonnes of advice from a lot of very well supra educated members. Always worth a build thread mate. I take up half my time on the forum reading through them, just for ideas for my own car
  10. And upon reading this thread, decided to watch the film......then the second.....third.....well, all of them The first is definitely, IMO the best of the five
  11. any pics of your new pride and joy?
  12. Volk GR-C is what they are. Cheers dude. Seems they are quite rare, and fetch around £1300 to £1800 a set!!!!!!! Not bad considering they came already on my original n/a and i only paid £2000 for it bit of a result there! Wont be selling though, mine are getting a well needed refurb and spray, and then going on the Twin, the 19s on there now are just too big! And I do love these wheels Plus, from what i can see, they were first manufactured in 1992, so fit really well with the age of the car. Just did a google search on these too now i know what they are, and all the pages that come up reference 15-17 inch rims. Not one mention of 18's, so maybe mine are a bit rare?
  13. never mind......just searched that and found them. only one image though, and in some foreign language....wasnt http://www.wheelsecondhand.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=47532 was it? Mine is the only set I've ever seen, so really was wondering how common they are. The fact that 50 odd people have looked at this thread and you are the first to find them tells me they may not be very common at all
  14. Nope not GT-C's either. Very similar, but some key differences: the indents are different, and where the rim attaches to the face is different also.
  15. Same with the members pack mate. I've been waiting around 5 months for mine. Just need to be patient as i think there are a few changes to the packs and who it is that is putting them together and sending them out. Im sure mawby will let everyone know when they are being sent again
  16. That explains why the v5 i got when i bought the car was red lol
  17. Nope not gt-p's. GT-P's are 6 spoke and dont have the indents in the spokes
  18. would it work for a TT 5 speed? Havnt got my getrag yet
  19. They are Rays Engineering Split rims, but I cant find out which ones they are. I have searched all over the net but to no avail. I'm sure they are authentic, as they have Rays Engineering embossed on the wheels, and have the original stickers on the inner rim. They have Toyota Team Sard decals on them. Manufactured in 1994. They look a bit similar to GT-C's, but they aren't. Pics attached.
  20. iirc the stock speakers are 10.5cm????? someone brainier/more knowledgeable than me will confirm/correct this. Either that, or there is a template on here for a speaker bracket that will hold a 17cm speaker instead.
