  1. Haven't touched the baffle Jason no. And scooter yea it does mate, still has the standard breather attachment going to the intake.
  2. Nor fitted them yet mate, they are off the car still. When I shake the cam cover in my hand I can hear a rattle
  3. Evening chaps, I've removed my cam covers this week to clean them up, paint and fit new gaskets etc Went to to re fit this afternoon and heard a rattle in the baffle of the inlet cam cover. Is this considered normal or is there something in there that I need to get out? I've shaken it around loads and whatever is rattling will not fall out by just shaking. Thanks.
  4. You're welcome mate glad it's sorted.
  5. I've done this mod on my vvti and can tell you the ecu is in the same place. It's kinda behind the the light, attached to yhe back of the plastic panel, you can't see it. You have to put your hand in and feel around. Ohhh errr
  6. So strange what has happened to the Nsx prices, my dad had a mint yellow one with a few really tasteful expensive mods 2-3 years ago. Put it for sale for 30k and got no bites at all. Ended up letting it go for like 26k. Csr was a bit of a let down performance wise for me tbh too, have you ever driven one? Handles lovely but I guarantee you miss the boost. They are pretty gutless compared to a decent turbo motor.
  7. Stunning mate, beautifully clean I wouldn't want to be footing the bill
  8. I guess you were right! One of life's many unanswerable questions!!
  9. Instead of starting a new one i thought i'd just bump this up, removed my charcoal canister this morning and I've read at least 5 threads and can't get a definitive answer on this. So.... Should the line from the tank be blocked or vented? there must be a 'this way is definitely best' version but i can't find it. David P says to block and some others say vent in a wing or at the back of the car etc. So which one is actually correct? thanks.
  10. Anyone know if the TPS sensor on a vvti is the same as preface lift.? There's one for sale I feel like I should maybe try it?
  11. Thanks Chris, just went out and checked again and now i'm not certain it is only when the car warms up, it's just not as noticeable when the idles higher because it still feels okay as it's not dropped below 500. What or where is the potentiometer? I may well do mate but at the minute an ecu is out of the window cost wise, i'm having some walls removed in the house and having a new kitchen, some windows and doors fitted and the only thing the Mrs is putting towards it is her opinion.
  12. And that would make the car idle poorly mate?
  13. So....i bought an OBD 2 adapter to check my fault codes and even though i have some stored in the ecu the adapter said i had no faults, whilst reading all other sensors from the engine just fine. Whilst i had this adapter plugged in the car nearly stalled...came back to life, but the engine check light came on and the car went into limp mode, so accelerator did nothing until last 10% of it's travel. I've never had this happen before and it happened twice in a row with this adapter fitted so i'm presuming it's an adapter fault. The car then threw up fault code P1633 which is ECM malfunction: ETCS circuit. But again, i'm presuming that's only down to the adapter fault. Car is running fine under normal driving but at idle and only when warm (idles perfectly steady when cold until water temp gets up to about 85ish degrees and idle naturally drops.) the idle is uneven and the AFR goes up and down between 13.5 and 16.5, idle drops as low as 400 sometimes and usually sits around 500-550 which is too low.
  14. I think £627 is pretty decent, i heard they were £640 now.
  15. Thanks for the update Sam I've bought another adapter to try it should be here tomorrow so i'll update when i've tried again.
  16. I asked this question a year ago too and never got a definitive answer on how to restore only how to make them look shiny or cleaner so i'll be following this and your progress mate.
  17. Looks like a nice car in a rare colour, good luck with the sale mate.
  18. Hi guys, just fitted a single to my car and changed a few other bits in the last few months too so i have all these parts up for sale... Collection strongly preferred on the larger items like intercooler, turbos etc but delivery can be arranged at a cost. All prices are collected unless otherwise stated. 4. Stock VVTI turbos - good condition, ran on stock boost 99% of their life, no or very little shaft play but there is a small dent on one fin, didn't affect performance and held boost perfectly well. £300 6. Stock tiptronic speedo faces great condition - £25 delivered 7. TRD speedo designed by Stu Hagen for a Tiptronic speedo (has the cutout for the screen) - £20 delivered 8. Loads of bits that came off my low mileage (~70k) Tiptronic VVTI Supra - Not sure on value but i know i'm not allowed to ask for offers so if someone can recommend or link me to a thread with similar items and prices i can list prices. £50 delivered for the 5 alloy intake pipes, all in good condition. Thanks.
  19. Lovely car mate, I'll give u £1900 for it if you need the cash
  20. I know this thread is a few years old, but I've bought an adapter to try and figure out what my ecu fault codes are but the adaoter can't connect to my ecu. I've put the custom code in and nothing changed. Can anyone who's done this previously try and help me out please?
  21. Yeah I can't wait mate, unfortunately it's going to be quite a while until I can see myself affording it and mapping. Got lots of grown up things that I need to pay for first Haha, I'll see what I can do. You're welcome.
