£1560 for a couple hundred miles a year... How do you guys do it?
Glanza_Mike replied to Karl M N's topic in Insurance
Sounds high to me, I had my supra 4 years and never paid over 400 quid all mods declared on a single turbo with agreed value. Aged between 26 and 30 with 0 ncb. -
Yeah same, I've done $10k and just transferred another $3.5k

Glanza_Mike's Clean White VVTI Supra Project!
Glanza_Mike replied to Glanza_Mike's topic in Supra Chat
So as i'm sure a few of you have seen on the forum by now I sold my car Saturday morning to new member 'Crossy'. I never really had plans to sell my car and still absolutely loved it, it's the only car I've owned where i never, not once had an urge to sell in all my ownership, and by far the car i'd owned the longest. Reasons behind me selling were that I've agreed a deal with my Dad to buy his car towards the end of this year and unfortunately i can't afford to keep both. The reason i sold now rather than holding onto it was that i thought i'd be able to use the money to make more money in that time, so i'm going to invest some into crypto and possibly buy something like a 240z or a 65-68 Mustang and partially restore. Either that or build a garage as my Dad's said i can't buy the car until i have one! Anyway just thought i'd leave an update/end to thread here, thanks for following over the last few years, i'll still lurk the forum and post another build thread on the next car if anyone is interested...? The car i'm hopefully buying off my Dad as long as everything goes to plan is a 2000 R34 GTR, which has pretty much been my dream car since i was about 12 lol So good luck to Sam/Crossy with my baby, please look after her!! And thanks for following this See ya!! -
I also rented one last year and really enjoyed it driving it, had a camaro too and was much nicer than that in many ways. Los of storage even when the top was down was pretty surprising.

I'm old school with my car tastes, I like the fastback mustangs from 67/68, 240z, hakosuka, 34gtr, obviously wouldn't mind a huracan performante but would need a lottery win!

You're welcome mate, I'm glad we finally got there, and I hope you get Ad much enjoyment out of the car as I did. I saw someone said I'm surprised mile sold and so am I never thought I'd end up selling that car but I've agreed a deal on something else although I won't be collecting for quite some time. I'll start another build thread on here in about 9 months if anyone is interested. And Sam, it was a pleasure doing business mate, I look forward to seeing the changes you make. Look after my baby for me by far the best car I've ever owned, not even close.

Good evening chaps, I've got some stuff that i still need to sell from when i went single so here it is.... All parts and prices are for collection unless otherwise stated, i live in Shirley/Solihull which is just outside Birmingham. 1. VVTI inlet manifold, runners, fuel rail, injectors - £135 - great condition all round. 2. VVTI inlet pipes x 5, perfect for polishing or just replacement as they are all in great nick - £60 3. Water neck, unfortunately someone has loctited the temp sensor in and when i went to remove it sheared, should be easy to drill out i just don't have the time spare - £30 4. Charcoal canister from a VVTI (not sure if different) excellent condition looks nearly new - £30 5. Top and bottom rad pipes, VVTI - £20 6. 2 pure sport rear mate, in black, there is some glue or something on one of them but wouldn't be seen when fitted i don't think - £10 7. 2 x exhaust piece with actuator to split the airflow to the turbos, one in excellent condition and one needs to cleaned up imo. Can be used as a replacement or to remove the valve if going TTC permanently - £25 for the good one and £10 for the one that needs some TLC. 8. Stock manifold great condition, can be supplied with gaskets - £20 9. Vac lines for the stock turbos, need sand blasting and cleaning up really - £5 10. Loads of bits, let me know if you need anything individually but the hole lot for £50. 11. Couple of intercooler/inlet pipes (i think one is for the stock airbox actually) good condition - £15 Thanks.
