  1. The boost controller is really easy to use. Once it's plumbed and wired go for a drive and just use the rotary knob to adjust the percentage until you reach the required level. Start low and slowly increase the boost. When I had my new exhaust and smaller diameter Decat fitted I had to increase the level and got it right after only 2 pulls. If you don't have instructions you can google them. Would recommend you set the peak hold function as it will save time scrolling through menus to see the peak level. I guarantee you will not be looking at the boost gauge once you hit 1.2 bar for the first time! Enjoy
  2. If you say so. See your two timing me as well. Time to boil the water and find your bunny.
  3. you obviously haven't spent too much time in his company!
  4. Suprapod coming up soon and not far from you if you are in Bedford.
  5. Hi my name is Mooret and I am delighted to be a member of this club. Do you have a Supra or just lurking/looking? If you do we like pics. Welcome.
  6. Got Porterfields on mine. Make a huge difference to my j-specs! They are a little dirty, like most good pads I guess.
  7. I have BC on mine. Recently fitted by Whifbitz. Had Tein lowering springs and KYB shocks previously. Much softer for day to day use and nice and firm for more spirited stuff. With a full geo set up the difference was noticeable, in a good way. These were recommended by Paul as a good budget set up knowing I intend to do track days. Hope that helps.
  8. Hi Peeps, will be going down to this. Not sure if I will join Neils convoy as may go down on the Friday night and stay with my mum in Northampton. Edit: Paid for - just entry no drag or drift
  9. Or invest in a boost controller to allow you alter the boost as well as monitor it.
  10. Bet you feel happy changing the Calibra for the Supra! Looks nice. More pics please.
  11. Suppose I better give you pics too!http://tapatalk.com/mu/5ac6363a-60c2-7809.jpg http://tapatalk.com/mu/5ac6363a-60d8-2b5c.jpg http://tapatalk.com/mu/5ac6363a-60f7-8253.jpg http://tapatalk.com/mu/5ac6363a-611c-0a87.jpg
  12. You definitely don't want a Ridox. You don't want a Ridox. You don't want a Ridox. Is the Jedi mind trick working? I think the best looking kit by far but seem to be a lot popping up lately.
  13. Might also be worth checking how tight the cam cover bolts are. I had a leak that wasn't as serious as you describe and it was down to this. Do be careful however as if you over tighten these you can crack the cover.
  14. There will be others along with better knowledge than me I'm sure, but the most I have seen a 6 speed N/A advertised for was about £5500. If I remember correctly this was described as expensive. N/As tend to be in the £2-4k bracket. You are well into TTAuto prices at £5500 and not too far from a TT6. If you have a Caterham I would strongly suggest you look for a TT6 with full BPU to give you 390-420 BHP.
  15. Just read the link. It will be interesting to see how they measure the noise on my car with the side exits. It states the median point between the 2 exhausts which means above the roof as they will not be able to get underneath?????????? Or will they just do it on one exhaust?
  16. My car was BPU from Whifbitz who do kits off the shelf. With an 18 year old side mount IC it still made 421! So you may be able to save a bundle initially. As has been mentioned, all the bits and pieces are listed and all very straight forward with the possible exception of FCD and Boost Controller. You could always get the kit, do what you can, and if not prepared to travel too far I am sure TDi North in Warrington could fit anything you didn't. Might also want to see if there are any club members who could help with the more complex bits. I would offer but would be about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike!
  17. I have a K&N panel filter that has only done about 1500 miles if you are interested? Had to remove the air box when the FMIC was fitted so now have a cone K&N instead. PM me if you are interested.
  18. Any dents in the bonnet? Guess it's normal 199 silver?
  19. Interest for August 1. Chris Wilson 2. Jake Supra 3. MattySupra 4. Bignum 5. Jimmenico 6. Intrest for Oct/Nov 1. M5W TT 2. Chris Wilson 3. Josh 4. Jake Supra 5. Bignum 6. Scotty71 7. Bradleyh_15 8. Jimmenico 9. Mooret 10.
  20. Also worth checking the connector as I have identified this on my car as a problem area. Lights were working perfectly until I took the dash apart. Then this cluster didn't work at all unless i tapped the panel. Classic dry joint symptoms but some fiddling with the connector plug and all is now well. And has been for months. Unless of course that is coincidence and they are dry joints! I'm certainly no expert on this.
  21. My first ride in a Supra was with SteveL in his race car at Oulton! Now that made an impression and less than 12 months later I owned a Supra!
  22. Hello mate I have a stock airbox available. One lug broken but seals fine. Comes complete with a K&N panel filter that will last you a lifetime if cleaned properly which has only done about 1500 miles. Air boxes in this condition seem to go dor about £25 and the filter is £70+ new. Will do them for £60 including postage or air box on its own for £30 inc postage Drop me a PM if you are interested.
  23. Seems a lot of money when you can 8 pot K Sports for less?
