With all the feedback given from not hitting the 1,2 bar of boost i decided to go both ways, install a boost controller and get rid of the cat-back which was on, bought an almost new 4'' hks titanium racing which was originally for a nissan skyline, took her to EPS, they build custom exhausts and especially for american cars, So it was kind of funny to walk in with an 4'' exhaust to get it fitted onto a japanese car:), They had a little work on it to make it fit without touching the 3'' 2nd decat which has a 2 bolt pattern flange and the cat back had a v-band clamp, but they managed to fit the exhaust for me, friendly and competent welders over there!!! Supra went on a dyno to get the boostcontroller installed etc and receiving some new data. dyno chart is added. Rear seats are deleted and the floor is covered with an hand made ''Porsche carpet'', At the moment i'm pleased with the results and was getting all parts together for a return towards the stock looks of the supra, parts bought were frontbumper with lip from DC Automotive thanks Dane, clear side markers, original side mirrors(electric) hope the fittings are still beneath the side mirrors which are on the car at the moment, a set of stock skirts and rear spats. Bottomplate for beneath the engine, and some other small bits, The respray is going to be performed by DPC, not really decided yet on the color but still got some time to think, always open for suggestions:)

When going BPU the boost didn't came above ,8/,9 bar opened a thread in members only section and got feedback from several members over here thanks again for all the response, and learned something, the bpu'd 2JZ-GTE didn't made more then the ,9 bar seen on firts dyno chart. After a few days the W58 didn't survived the gains in power from going bpu, it broke in fourth gear, i made a pull from 90 km/hr to 180km/hr in fourth almost at redline i heard something rattling and had no traction at all, so pulled over and called a service which came across and took my car away, At the garage they found this, several broken teeth which came out of the gearbox when they removed the drain plug, Decided to go with a v160 in combination with an A02B differential, The A02B diff came from an supra TT AUTO, The v160 had some problems in the past with the second gear, and a synchro mesh ring was damaged the gearbox went to NMB MOTORS where they inspected the gearbox and renewed all the parts which were damaged, some pictures added from the gearbox conversion, Also the clutch and flywheel has been changed for stock TT parts, received a used TT flywheel and a new clutch,

thanks, got loads of pictures from the getrag conversion, will upload them right away,

For going BPU several parts were needed, -walbro 255ltr/hr fuel pump -greddy boost cut controller -1,2 bar restrictor ring -new oem oil filters including kendall 5 W50 oil -9-12 volt mod -first decat 2,5'' decat Some pics added of the bpu parts installed onto the supra, Already installed on the car were a 3'' TRD high response cat back, 3'' 2nd decat and an fmic,

Hi guys last year signed up as club member and thought it was time to start a build thread, I'm Mario and purchased a supra Natural aspirated from june 1993 back in august 2009, The car was already undertaken by previous owners so it needed some workmanship to get it the way i wanted my supra. And there it all started. Also very nice to meet you some time in the UK when my car is finished, some pictures of the supra when purchased, First i wanted to get rid of the 2JZ-GE, Some pictures from the conversion, Few new parts installed like a standard N/A clutch and lightened flywheel also an aftermarket fmic was fitted, beceause the previous engine was taken from the supra it was a nice moment for a engine bay respray, so it went to a paintshop before the 2JZ-GTE was lifted in. Some pics of the resprayed engine bay and the tt engine, After the engine conversion i wanted to get rid of the big aftermarket wing which was on the car, also had the glass headlights which were installed a few months earlier but started to get some seal problems, some moisture came inside the headlights, so went to dynamicc polyester centre to get it done, I knew that the W58 was a weak point in my car as its rated to hold max 350 rwhp, but i wanted so bad a little bit more power so went BPU,

Hi there, Welcome to the supra mkiv owners club, nice supra you've put your eyes on, as its an NA-T and has been modified in such case that it is far from original, few items would be nice to know when you think of buying this one is the rear sway bars, original NA sway bars are not as thick as the original twin turbo sway bars, also the speedometer has to be checked beceause of the gearbox conversion in combination with the differential it has you need to check if it is still working proper, not really understand why there is MEGAN RACING COILOVERS installed but can be changed for a real nice set of coil overs, paintjob performed on the supra looks great going from the pictures, overall it's a good looking supra.

hi guys i just joined the na-tt club, i'm running a 93 supra sz which past year has been converted from na towards a tt, bpu'd it a few months later which the w58 didn't survived, upgraded her with a getrag v160 in combination with an A02B diff.

Well, I'm not really sure about a tt auto diff in combination with an W58, i used to have the W58 with an standard delivered trd diff (not the torsen one) Coverted into a TT auto diff(A02B-Torsen diff) in combination with a getrag 6 speed (v160), TT auto diff versus TT Manual diff Manual TT diff longer gears higher top speed TT auto diff shorter gears lower top speed TT auto diff my expierience is telling me that it takes less time to achieve top speed, it will be lower then the top speed which can be achieved by having a TT manual diff. Fuel consumption is a lot higher having a TT auto diff but worth every euro of fuel spend This is a copy paste from .COM.NZ Torsen LSD vs TRD LSD The Torsen diff is a standard fitment to all 6 speed mkiv's, alot of the Auto TT's and you'll even occasionally find it on a NA. You can tell if your Supra has a Torsen diff by reading the Trans/Axle code on the Engine Tag which is situated under your bonnet. The last letter of the 4 character code (eg. B03B) denotes the diff type which is "A" for a std diff and "B" for a Torsen diff. The crown wheel on the B series is 220mm whilst on the A series it's 200mm. The Torsen (TORque SENsing) LSD (Limited Slip Diff) works quite differently to the TRD LSD. The Torsen is a Torque Multipling type of diff with a multiplication ratio of around 5:1. What this means is that whatever torque can be sent to the wheel with the least traction, it can send up to 5 times that torque to the wheel with the most traction. Its biggest advantage is that it can do this extremely quickly and doesn't ever lockup the ratio, but is continuously "sensing" and adjusting the torque between the two wheels. Its only real disadvantage is that when one wheel has no torque available (say it spinning in mud), then 5 times nothing is still no torque to the other wheel, so you can get stuck just like a std diff. Once the car is moving however this cannot happen. The TRD LSD is a standard type LSD in that it uses clutch packs to transfer torque from one wheel to the other. Transferring torque via clutch packs will be a slower process then the Torsen transfer method and it will absorb more energy from the engine when doing so. However we are probably only talking a few hundreds of a second difference here and maybe a few hp. The main disadvantage of the TRD diff is that it can "lockup" the ratio between the two wheels at 1:1. This means both wheels will then turn at the same speed and if this happens on a corner, it would be exciting at the very least. This "lockup" is also its only advantage over the Torsen diff as even when one wheel is in the mud, the other wheel can provide traction to pull you out. My personal preference is for the Torsen diff as it usually comes free with the car, reacts quicker and aborbs less power and will never accidentally lockup. However, if you want to go rally driving in your mkiv Supra (don't laugh, there's guys in the USA that do just that) then the TRD would be the better bet.

nice eye for detail, even the oil dipstick looks nice, very nice build, good luck with the mapping.

to remove the ice on the windows i normally start the engine and turn on the heat a little bit, get back into my home drink a cup of coffee, (it takes a little bit time,5 to 10 minutes) depending on the weather circumstances, i deffinately give it a 5 good luck with your study,,

very nice!, enjoy

Same thoughts here a standard W58 is what i've been told can hold approximately 350 bhp before it breaks,

I think you're right Nic, i assumed the titel which is saying boostlogic 4'' on an non turbo supra was the right titel, but as i was examining the posts replied by others i found this sentence ''1993 na 5 spd toyota supra, aftermarker air intake and boost logic 3" midpipe with apexi gt-spec catback exhaust '' my bad, but its confusing why can't they be honoust in their titels.

Mario replied to Mario's topic in Parts for Sale
I was on the phone with TNT EXPRESS a few minutes ago, it is possible to sent the lot in one big package for 176 euros from adress to adress within two days (except sat and sundays) But if i split the big package into three smaller ones, i will pay almost three times the amount of one big package, by use of road transport they look at the volume of the package and not especially to the weight. But with usage of air transport the weight is going to count and not the volume. It is possible to pack the front bumper the exhaust and the spats into one big package which will weight lets say 55 kg? the shipping will be rated at 176 euro's aprox 160gbp, But then these items will arrive at one adress, just to keep the shipping costs low i was thinking. I will try to contact parcel2go as TTRickeh mentioned, in his last post. -

Yes i will post if you recommand and cover the shipping costs, but they aren't cheap i contacted the service desk of world wide baggage and packages in amsterdam a few minutes ago, and this price in euros rolled out based on a package of 20kg-25kg. Imagine if the front bumper in a home made transport box and weighs about 20kg, delivery is based door to door by road transport, so it will be presented at your front door. Same for the spats off course, Tomorrow i will be (off-shore)at work for the next two weeks and won't be able to post, but if i get home,i will sort out if it can be delivered for less then these prices. if not it's your call. for sale For sale:TRD exhaust, ridox front end and TS rear spats
Mario posted a topic in Parts for Sale
For sale a TRD High response cat back exhaust, I don't know what's worth this particular cat back. New prices for this exhaust are high, if they're still available, they quitted the production several times and started over from time to time for small amount off production rates. This exhaust is full stainless steel, it has the TRD logo on the bottom end, and as far as i know a rare item for the JZA-80. Exhaust is in good condition. Also for sale two replica top secret rear spats, without the original toyota indicator, good state but needs a respray. Also a ridox replica front bumper including the orange side markers which are fitted as seen on the picture, looking for 160 pounds, as on the picture you can find a small chips on the right end of the front bumper, rest is still in good condition. Reason of the sale is i prefer the stock looks of a supra so am getting all the stock parts together, and a nice 3'' cat back system exhaust to fit instead of the trd catback system exhaust,I forgot to mention that the number plate mounted on the front bumper is done by use of two elbows which are bolted onto the bottom end of the front end, so when fitted there won't be holes in the vision area. Open for sensible offers on the trd cat back and TS rear spats, -
At the moment my supra is at the garage waiting for a 6-speed conversion, in mean time we started getting the car back in her original state, but about the side mirrors, These are glued onto the doors, really a shame so they couldn't be checked on the mounting plate, But as i'm going back to stock, it will take me a little bit more time to get a set of nice stock ones, before i ask my mechanic to get them off, beceause they're glued and i'm not willing to damage the paint.
